Comfortable, but need breaking in. I have a wide foot and needed to go up a size. I already have a pair and they are well broken in, so I know once the new shoe is broken in they will be great.

Very comfortable - order a size up. I usually wear a size 8-8.5, so I ordered the 39. Unfortunately, they were too small and my foot hung over the end. I was worried that the 40 would be too big, but ordered them anyway since Zappos’ return policy is so great. Thanks to Zappos amazing customer service, I had a new pair in 24 hours and the size 40 is a perfect fit! I just received these shoes and am wearing them for the first time. They take a little getting used to, but my feet feel great.

Great shoe - It is a perfect work shoe for comfort and wear.

Foot saver - Being a nurse, I stay on my feet over 10 hours a day. Before purchasing the Dansko Ingrid's I wore New Balance because that was what was recommended by my fellow nurses, however after working a shift my legs and knees hurt so bad from tendonitis that it was becoming unbearable. A physician suggested that I give the Dansko a try because of the additional support it offers. I noticed a major difference after the first shift. If you are on your feet for long periods of time, the Dansko shoe more than pays for itself in comfort. These are the only shoes I will work in now. They are great!!

Loved this shoe - I am a clinical instructor and wore this shoe in a rotation where I had to keep up with 10 students half my age. My feet were happy from day one. I have wide feet and these shoes needed very little break in time. I sized up a full size and am glad I did, to size down would never have worked for me.

Dansko Ingrid - Like all of Dansko’s they are the most comfortable shoes! I am a runner and I have FINALLY after 4 years overcome shin splints. I wear Dansko all the time because they are kind to your feet and legs. :) That says a lot when have you suffered thru the wrong shoes which makes shin splints worse. Thanks Zappos and Dansko. You always make this mom, nurse and runner happy!

GREAT SHOE, TOO SMALL - ZAPPOS IS GREAT. Only ONE problem with this shoe RUNS SMALL!!! I am a size 8 and my heel was hanging over the back. Needed a half size larger, but they don’t have them. SUPER COMFY!!! Just my luck!!

Pleasantly surprised - I rarely order from the internet. I have never ordered shoes before because the sizing is always so "iffy". However, none of the stores in my area carried this style, so I reluctantly went to the internet and ordered them. To my surprise, the shoes arrived before I thought they might; they were in perfect condition and fit like they had been made just for me. I love Dansko shoes because they were instrumental in taking away all my foot aches and pains. Now, I will order from the internet without hesitation. Thanks Zappos!

RN Comfort - I am on my feet for 12hrs. After my shift I have noticed that my feet and legs do not hurt. Nor do I have any swelling. I love my shoes. One suggestion I have is that the shoes be made with may be an extra inch in the toe area. If don't have short toes your toes tend to be a little cramped.

Zappos and Dansko the best!! Thank you for offering so many shoes. I have passed on your site to quite a few others. The suggestion to buy a size smaller was correct. Also stating in your site that some styles fit like a clog not a shoe was also correct and made me understand why another shoe I bought fit like it did and now I m happy with them.

Dansko Ingrid - The shoe is exactly as I expected. It is totally different from what I am used to. I wanted a clog with a strap for work thinking I could easily slip it on and off since I work a 12 hour night. It fits well. I am having a hard time getting used to it, but I am determined to make it work so I continue to wear it temporarily at home.

Best work shoes ever!! I've heard great things about Dansko clogs, but I thought they were a little too expensive on my budget. When two of my co-workers bought a pair and kept raving about them, I decided to invest in them and found these on Zappos. The first day I wore them at work, I was worried I would get blisters breaking-in a new pair of shoes, but to my surprise and delight, these clogs were so comfortable. The best thing I loved about them the first time I wore them was the great arch support they gave. I have flat feet and these clogs have the arch support I need being on my feet all day at work. They also keep my feet cool and even with thin or thick socks, they still feel great =).

"They are great shoes" I ordered these shoes for my daughter who is on her feet 12 hours a day working at a hospital. She said they are very comfortable and she wishes she had them in every color!

Review of Dansko Ingrid - Great shoe but I neede a full size larger than I wear. Thanks to Zappos great return and shipping I had my new pair almost over night and my return was credited very rapidly.

Love them! I absolutely love these shoes--I wear them constantly & they look good with everything! They are extremely comfortable. I ordered them in black also and couldn't have been happier! I have the best luck with Zappos--great customer service and great shoes every time! Thank you!

Not as padded in the heel as the Dansko Kate, so not sure how they'll work for my plantar fasciitis - not keeping them (Alegria's more cushy). 41s were a bit tight for my size 10, high-arched foot, so order up a size if you have a high arch.

I recently started working in a job that requires standing up all day, and several friends recommended this shoe to me. I ended up returning it because the shape of this shoe is definitely not the shape of my feet. The toe box is very tall and squarish, and my big toes were pressed up against the end while the other toes were swimming without purchase. But I did appreciate that all the edges that rub against your feet are very well padded. I never wear heels, and I haven't had clogs before either, and I found the 1.75" heel to be a little awkward to walk on. Just not the right shoe for me.

Give them time~ I work 12 hr shifts in a busy hospital and made the mistake of wearing these ALL day the first day. My left arch was very bruised feeling, almost immediately and on and off most of the day. (almost like the arch was too high!) Still.. I went and wore them again the next day, and putting my foot into that shoe was a little tender. However, after about two hours of wearing them on the second day, I found that the bruised feeling was completely gone! I have worn them daily ever since, and they are very comfortable.

Don't go down a size! I wear a ladies size 11 shoe. Their chart says that an 11 is a 41. Well, I went with 42 (Dansko "12") because that's what I wear in a Birkenstock, and my left foot hangs over the back of the shoe.

Next size up - I too had to go up one size in but even the small size I did get felt nice.

Ingrid - Had to return this shoe. I wear a ladies size 11. My toes felt squished by this shoe and my heel hung over the back of one of the shoes. I would have ordered the next size up, but 42 is the largest that they make this one in.

These shoes drive me crazy! I bought them a year ago. I have a very narrow heel and I was looking for something with a heel strap rather than the traditional Dansko back because my heels generally slip out of most shoes. Well, the heel straps slip off my heels constantly. They're on a hinge, and it's very easy for the straps to simply slip down. It's very annoying when I'm walking for long distances. When I tighten the heel strap to keep it from slipping, my toes rub against the toebox and become sore. Too bad. I had another pair of Dansko's with a heel strap that I wore for 3 years and loved them. I'll be looking for another pair that doesn't have a heel strap on a hinge. That should fix the problem.

The shoe was everything that I could have wished for in a nursing clog. I purchased this shoe in hopes that I would be able to stand on my feet all day without issues, and I was able to do that. This shoe was very comfortable. I wear a size 9, so I had to go up 1/2 size for them to fit.

I have worn these shoes for over 20 years, these just added a strap. I love them they shine up nicely. I wish they would carry a navy blue. They are nice with Smart clothing outfit of all kinds. My arches are so high. I noticed a bit of a drop of protection there.

I really loved my old dansko with the convertible strap. I find flipping the strap back necessary to keeping them on when I wear socks. So -very happy to see them available on my cherished Zappos. However, they ran shorter than previously. Consider trying a size up, along with your usual size.
