These are great shoes! I saw this shoe in an outdoor magazine and tried to buy it at a shoe store in my area. That shoe buying experience was the most unpleasant retail experience of my life - all I got out of it was that I needed size 10 1/2 in this shoe. I went online to Zappos and got great service and great shoes. These shoes are comfortable, durable and great for summer.

Great Sandal - I purchased a pair of Keen's Venice H2 sandals for particular use around the water for fishing and boating. The toe protection was the main reason along with the openness of this particular model so that it would dry out quickly. I have not been disappointed. They are great! We have very rocky and sandy bottoms in and around our northern lake Camp and I needed more protection than my old Teva's and they certainly fill the bill. I would heed the suggestions found elsewhere in these reviews to buy the next higher size. Great support and walking comfort without any chafing even when wet. I am now seeing more of the Keen's sandals being worn in the Northeast including NYC and I think they look great as well.

GREAT SANDAL - I purchased my first Keen sandal a couple of years ago and wrote in telling the company that they needed a sandal that was more open and then they came out with the Venice and it is super. We just returned from a long trip and during the trip my sister in law purchased a pair of them and now my wife wants a pair too. It will not be my last pair. Do they come in leather?

Great shoe - very comfortable - This is my first pair of keen and I love them. Very comfortable...will probably wear them more than any other shoe other than my Crocs.

I bought this sandal for my son because I have Keen sandals and love them. He wears them all the time and everywhere he goes claiming them to be the most comfortable ever.

Ideal summer shoe - This shoe really lives up to the reputation. Comfortable out of the box and all day on your feet. No break-in period at all. My wife and I both got these for our active hiking-swimming honeymoon in Hawaii, and we couldn't be happier with them. One caveat - this is definitely a "try on" before you buy kind of shoe. The similar Keen "Newport" has a much different fit and feel (better for wider feet), whereas the Venice is ideal for people like me with narrower feet. Once you get the fit right at your local shoe store, definitely get them through Zappos - one of the best online purchasing experiences I've had.

Comfort and quality. Keen makes an outstanding quality shoe! I work outside around water all day. These shoes protect my feet and are very comfortable. NO break in period. They run a half size small. I returned them and ordered a size larger. Zappos sent the replacement 2nd day air without me asking. Truly a first class company!!

The best casual footwear I have ever owned! I have three pair of Teva sandals of varying types. Since the Keens arrived I doubt I will ever put the Tevas back on...the Keens are so incredibly comfortable, with the all important addition of the toe cap to assure comfort and protection...the hands down winner!

Best Keen for me - This shoe is lighter than the H2 and has seems softer to the soles of my feet. They are a tad smaller than the H2 though I ordered the same size in both. They still fit well. Excellent.

Great - I got these because I’m anti-sandal. I love these because they have the open qualities of a sandal, and the stability and protection of a sneaker.

Great Company, Great Shoes. A recent newspaper article about the Keen company moving to Portland, OR mentioned that Keen had a million-dollar ad campaign ready just about the time the tsunami hit last year: Keen scrapped the ads and donated the money to Tsunami Relief. Great company and great shoes! The H2's are so comfortable, durable and sure-footed over slick creek rocks (and wet pavement!). As with most Keens, order a half size larger.

Great shoe - This is a very comfortable shoe, on land and water. I wear an 8 1/2 street shoe but ordered this shoe in a 9 and the fit is perfect.

Keen does it again - This shoe looks and fit great right out of the box. I have plantar fasciitis and this sandal provides excellent arch support. Can't say enough about them and Zappos-----got them in 3 days----will buy another pair

Can't go wrong with Keen - I love Keen. They are by far the most comfortable and versatile shoes I've ever owned. This model is extremely light and airy. Great for summer. Only complaint is that they run small, and because I normally wear a women's size 11, I have to order men's, which means my style and color choices are more limited.

Keen Venice - These are great shoes. I own about 5 pairs of Keens and these are far the best for just "hanging". They breathe better than the Newports.

Summer variety of Keen oxfords - Great sandal. Same comfort as Keen oxfords. Can take these anywhere....to the beach, then out to dinner.

Perfect shoe for a Cancun trip - These shoes turned out to be a perfect shoe for my first visit to Cancun. They were good for all activities from walking on uneven sidewalks in town to walking around the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza; from walking into a cenote for a refreshing dip to going out for dinner or walking around the pool at the resort. When they got dusty, I could just rinse them off and they were good as new. They were comfortable walking long distances in the airport, too. At first I thought maybe they were too short as my toes were too close to the end, but upon tightening the elastic they fit just right. Being able to adjust each shoe's fit with the elastic is a great feature as each foot is a slightly different fit. They are light weight and fully support and protect my feet while allowing for air circulation. I usually wear orthotics in my shoes, but the soles of these shoes give me the arch support I need. I highly recommend this shoe and Zappos.com for great service!

Upgrade to Venice H2 - I'm a big fan of Keen and their shoes just seem to be getting better. While my first pair of Keen sandals, the regular, brushed leather-like Newports served me well, there was some room for improvement. The Venice H2 meets and exceeds my expectations. The polyester straps found on any of Keen's H2 models seems lighter and looks more athletic than the regular models which share the same name. Another major improvement from the Newport I was wearing is the Venice's V-Strap forefoot capture design. Not only does the new strap configuration seem to provide better ventilation, it feels more comfortable on the pinky toe. This little piggy will no longer pop out between the two lower straps. You may also notice in the photos that the Keen logo and yellow accents have been toned down quite a bit. It's not your monitor. They are no longer the bright, school bus yellow, which, for those worried about a splash of color could have been a problem. A word of caution; the Venice H2 does feel slightly smaller than my Newports. Maybe the old ones just got really stretched out, but these felt snug (in a supportive way) fresh out of the box. This was yet another positive for me in that my size 14 Newports began to feel heavy and sloppy. The bottom line is that I've tried on EVERY other Keen sandal model and many of their competitors and the Venice H2 is the best I've found. Thanks to Zappos for the on-line shopping confidence provided by their no risk buying/returning policy. I wish other sites would catch on or that Zappos would begin carrying more than just shoes and bags!

Great lake/beach shoes - I bought these shoes for my husband to wear around the lake/boat/jetski, etc. His feet usually hurt after wearing almost any shoe for more than 2 hours. He loves these and hasn't complained yet! He says they have great arch support, keep his feet cool (usually a problem), and they don't make his feet or ankles hurt. I'm planning on getting myself the ladies' version.

I really like these! I think I like them better than the Newports I replaced them with. Better fit with the little toe.

I found my purchase with Zappos to be as I would have done for someone else myself. It was easy and shipped on time and the product is great.

Narrow fit - Great comfort but narrow fit; not the same as H2's...

The pair I bought have turned out to be absolute garbage. I have had them just a little over a year however I do not wear them all the time. The materials and workmanship are the worst they are coming apart the stitching is coming unraveled and the leather bits used to sew the straps together at the sides is very substandard. I have never regretted buying a pair of shoes like I do theses. If you look at the bottom of the shoes there is hardly any wear. Avoid these shoes!

This shoe was just what the season called for. My husband wears this shoe out and about, around town, even out to dinner and to his business meetings.
