The Venice style was longer, wider, and heavier than the Whisper style. I preferred the Whisper by far.

A little clunky but functional. Style may wear better in other colors.

Comfortable to wear, and easy to wash, I wore these shoes in every country from Israel to Indonesia on a backpacking trip. I could toss them into a washing machine, and have them looking like new. On the negative side, they took more time to take off than a pair of flip flops, and they didn't have enough traction to use as hiking shoes.

I really liked this shoe. However, I did have to go up a size. They worked well for hiking, biking, and fly fishing. They do make your feet feel a bit warm though.

Overall good shoe - We loved that my daughter and I could basically get matching beach/trek shoes for our vacation (slightly different shades of pink), and these are nice looking, too. They are comfortable until you get sand in them, but really what shoe would feel good under those circumstances!? They did rub on one spot on my foot, which gives them the 4 stars, rather than 5. It is nice to have a fairly attractive and more feminine shoe that can go from beach to hiking and still offer the support to feel safe and comfortable. Overall, I recommend these. I liked them much better than Tevas and especially appreciate that they protect your toes (great for hiking or trail walking).

I like this Keen style better than their Whisper style because it's more open, but the heel strap comes halfway up my ankle!!! No way they'd be comfortable longterm. Sad! I suggest ordering 1/2 size larger than you normally wear as these, like most Keens, run about 1/2 size small.

I guess I am the odd one out - I really did not like these at all - I ordered them expecting to love them. I have wide feet if anything, yet the normal size just floats around my toes. When I walk around it felt like wearing clown shoes. The length of the shoe is perfect, on the other hand.

Love the shoes but hate the black toenails - I have had the shoes for several weeks now and love how comfortable they are - and cute too! However, the one thing that makes me think twice before I put them on is that they leave a black mark on my toenails - which will not wash off! It's ruining my pedicure and makes me look like I have "diseased toes." Does this happen to others? How do you prevent it? If I can fix this problem these Keen's are my new favorite shoes!!

Fabulous, but short-lived - I bought these shoes last year for a trip to Alaska. They felt great when they arrived and I wore them practically non-stop for about 2 months, but by the end of the 2 months, they were far less comfortable. I am still wearing them this summer, but the comfort is no longer anything special. For the price, it would be nice if they felt as comfortable the next year as they did when purchased.

At first they were comfortable, but then... These shoes were comfortable for short term use, but when I first wore them 16 hours straight, which included a fair amount of walking outdoors, the strap on the left side of the shoe on my left foot rubbed abrasively against my little toe, bruising it a lot. I couldn't wear the shoes again until my toe healed and now I can only wear the shoes indoors and only when I am not running around too much. The strap over my toe is just too stiff and unyielding.

Sent these shoes back - I really like Keen shoes but this particular style was about a half size smaller than I needed. My toes rubbed against the toe of the shoe so I'm sending them back. I will wear Keen shoes again and I love Zappos.

Great idea that doesn't work for me - I loved the idea of these shoes—comfortable, quick drying sandal-sneakers for outings with water and land activities. However, for me these were some of the most uncomfortable sport shoes I've tried on. Almost immediately my legs and feet felt tense. Even though I only tried these on in my air conditioned house, my feet felt hot and sweaty--much warmer than my Birkenstock clogs.

Keen Venice - almost great! This shoe looks great, feels like it should be a winner, BUT, it cuts into my Achilles tendon from the heal strap. Teva's have a wider padded heal strap and they don't cause this problem. Stinks because these have so much more potential than Tevas!

Ridiculously wide. I normally wear a B or even a narrow width and these felt like E's. Even pulling the elastic cords didn't help

Everyone raved about the Keen Venice as the best shoe for hiking and swimming. I found it to be less than okay. I have narrow feet and struggled to find the right size. I began by ordering a 9 1/2 (which is my normal size). But sent it back for a 10 because Keen said it ran 1/2 size small. I wish I had stuck with the 9 1/2. After wearing them for an extended weekend hiking trip I had blisters and my arches ached. They are now relegated to garden work, canoeing trips, and any water sports where I need a shoe that stays on. An awful waste of money in my opinion. My husband wears his Newports religiously and swears by them so for some feet they rock. Bottom line - if you have narrow feet, do not buy these you will be disappointed.

I've been wearing Alegria for several years now but started having a fungal infection on my feet probably from no socks and the leather making my feet hot and sweaty. So wanted a comfortable shoe that offered some arch support but was ventilated enough to prevent sweaty feet. Years ago i loved KEEN so bought 2 pairs of sandals. This KEEN Venice is a full size too small. I wear a 9.5 and the 10.5 JUST fit. The shoes are good on slick surfaces and the toe box is wide enough but the good stuff ends there. There is absolutely NO arch support in this shoe. When I take a step, I feel the arch sink to the floor. I expect arch support when purchasing an $80 pair of sandals. Because one of my feet is flat there is a spot on the shoe that rubs and causes pain on my arch. There are plenty of manufacturers that put a steel shank in as part of arch support. I cannot use an insert because these shoes are not true to size and I'd have to get an 11 if i wanted to add support. Oh, some customers had mentioned this is not really an olive color and that is right. It is a plain, ugly brown and these will probably be the most expensive gardening shoes i own since they really aren't great for walking because there is no arch support. Really disappointed in KEEN and this shoe.

I'm very disappointed with the changes Keens must be making in the manufacturing of their shoes. I have bought this exact same sandal and size for years and all of a sudden this pair felt a half size too small. So I returned it and bought a half size larger which fit fine. However, I also ordered a slightly different style of Keens sandals in the larger size that now fits me and it came and was too large. It's just very annoying not to be able to count on the same size fitting across all Keen sandal styles.

These are probably the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever had on my foot. They rubbed on both the in-step and outside of both feet and rubbed a blister on the inside of my right foot middle toe and the ball of my left foot...and that was just wearing them around my house, on carpet, to help break them in!

Loved my Keens from last year. Unfortunately, these don't make the cut. Rubs right below my ankle bone which means a blister when I wear them.

Love these. I continue to buy new ones!

My feet can swell in summer so I’m glad Keen makes a wider shoe. These are really comfortable…. Wore them for months before reviewing. No rubs, easy to clean. I’m happy happy!

These fit a bit too snug. I usually vary between 6.5 and 7 and I just needed a half size larger. I'm glad they have 7.5

Love this shoe. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10. Am usually a 10 in other Keens. in this show I needed a 10.5. Love the look, style and color. definitely more of a brown than a green (hint of olive). Very earthy looking.
