I have plantar fasciitis and a fused right ankle. I am a big girl as well. These shoes provide perfect support and comfort. I can walk in them as I would a tennis shoe, but my feet don't get hot anymore when walking my dogs or out shopping. I could wear them right out of the box. I am so happy to have found these shoes. I did order 1/2 size up, I usually wear a 9, so 9-1/2 fit perfectly. They adjust perfectly when my fused foot swells during the day. I can't say enough good things about these shoes. Ordered a pair for my husband as well, he loves them.

I ended up not keeping the Keens I ordered through Zappos because of a goof I made, but I do have the Keen Venice from a local shoe store so I thought I would still write a review for their site. I have never had Keens before but wanted something with a back strap and a good arch. The covered toe cap on these was a bonus! I tried these on locally in a 9, which is the size I always wear in everything, but they seemed short and I could tell my toes would hit the front toe cap. So I bought a 9.5. After reading some of the reviews on Zappos, it was suggested to go up a whole size so I ordered them from Zappos in a 10 (and this is where I mistakenly ordered another pair of 9.5's too). I walked around in the house for a while in both sizes but ultimately stuck with the 9.5 I had bought locally (and on sale too). Zappos has such an easy return system that I returned both sizes to them. I have only worn these sandals a few times but they really haven't needed a break-in time and I am extremely picky when it comes to how my shoes fit. I have wide feet, high arches, bad knees and now (oh joy!) the beginnings of a bunion and possibly hammertoes. These shoes feel great with all of that going on -- which to me is a real miracle! The Keen website does say that these run small and to order a half size up, which was the right advice for me. This color (coriander and tawny olive) is such a great neutral color and I really like the nylon-y underlining to the leather. To me they look like a Euro style fisherman sandal. Since I haven't worn them much yet, I haven't washed them but I hope that they wash up as well as other reviewers say they do. This is my new favorite sandal -- topping my Finn's, my Birkie's and my Aravon's. I think they run wider -- at least in the toe box -- than either Finn's or Birkie's do.

I ordered these in a size 8.5 and 8. I usually wear an 8, but based on the previous reviews I went up a size. They were too big, so I keep the 8 - they fit perfect and I love how comfortable they are.

My teenage daughter loves these sandals and wears them almost every day now. They run a tiny bit on the small side, so if between sizes, you might want to go with your larger size, but they are very comfortable and attractive in a sporty way.

Love these Keens. Very comfortable. I ordered half size larger than I wear and they fit great.

I ordered the Venice style. The best sandals I have ever bought. Extremely comfortable. I will be ordering more.

These are my first Keens. I usually wear an 8.5-9 US, but my feet seem to slide too much in most 9's when I walk a long ways. I took a chance & got 8.5 in these and they are perfect lengthwise & width wise! I like my feet snug but not pinching, & the foot bed fit just right. Also, less straps & more cutout space makes them cooler to wear & more attractive on my foot. I since decided to get a 2nd pair in Newport, same size but darker color, since I am moving overseas & decided to stock up; also for the long trip over & hot summer weather. The Newports, with more straps, were much tighter over my feet & pinched, also making the wide toe space seem disproportionate to the rest of the shoe. Venice is much sleeker. The color is gorgeous & not too bright of lime green trim - neutral & goes with lots of stuff. The Sand blends in with skin color more than a darker color though. I sent the Newports back & got 2nd pair of Venice in oil green, which are beautiful, too. Hubby liked them so well that he also ordered some for him! These were a little pricey for my budget, but well worth it if they last. They seem to be good quality & well engineered. I will pay anything for a shoe that really fits!

These are fantastic! No breaking in period. Wore them right out of the box in Mexico and went on very long walks. Rouged yet feminine. Buy them - you won't be disappointed. I found them true to size!

Love my new Venice shoes by Keen. Hope it warms up so I can do more than try them on.

I purchased these to use mainly for travel and am so pleased. I got them just before a two week trip to Cambodia so hadn't broken them in at all before I began wearing them every day. Amazingly, I had absolutely no issues with blisters or straps chafing. The sandals were super comfortable, held up well, and cleaned easily. I highly recommend them.

Very comfortable. Size comes big so consider ordering a half size smaller.

You may be wondering what the difference is between Venice and Venice H2 I own both and I will tell you. The difference is the H2 has canvas straps that have almost no "give" and the Venice sandal has soft leather like straps that will stretch and give over time. If you need your Keen sandals to be really tough for say walking in a rocky river, get H2, but if you want a flexible summer sport shoe, get the Venice regular.

These Keens are fabulous! They are extremely comfortable, true to size, and excellent quality. It took me nearly 3 years to wear out a pair of Keen Newports and I expect these to last even longer.

Really comfortable for walking. Be sure to order 1/2 size larger than you normally wear.

I love the comfort level of this shoe. I have even got compliments from grand kids that I looked hip! What more could you ask. Also, your service is unbeatable.

I love these shoes. Cute and comfy. They do get a smell to them though when wet. Still worth it.

So comfortable and cute. Make my big feet look much smaller. Lots of toe room as always with Keens. They don't cut into the top of my foot as many shoes do due to my very high arches. Love them.

These shoes were very expensive, but totally worth it. I wear them everywhere - walking in the woods, to work, in the yard and they hold up great.

I love these sandals. Have bought Keens before, and these rank with the best. I tried my usual size at first, but it was a little tight, so ordered a half size larger, and they're perfect.

I love these shoes! I had a pair of blue Venice H2O that I wore for 4 years through Honduras, Guatemala, South Africa, Utah, New England etc..hiking, biking, kayaking etc. You name it, they went through it and alas they finally needed to be released to shoe heaven. I replaced them with a new color and off we go. Acadia hiking and biking to start. They have many miles to go. Remember to buy a half size larger than you wear when you buy Keen.

Here is what attracted me to these. Comfort, good traction, washable so they won't get stinky, cuteness, and durability. I purchased them in this color so that they would go with several outfits on vacation. They are very comfortable. I wore them every day and they never wore a blister on any part of my feet. They have the traction of a tennis shoe so they are awesome for a walking sandal and are very quiet across a floor. They have the machine washing instructions sewn to the inside and so far have wiped clean with a damp cloth perfectly. These are my favorite summer sneakers of all time. You won't be disappointed.

My girlfriend and I tried on a bunch of Keen styles in preparation for a Caribbean trip that will include hiking and being around water and volcanic rock. Both of us found the Venice shoe to be the most comfortable and offer the most support.
