3 start ratings for the Brown, and 5 star for the Black.
I have the black ones and they are perfect, my favorite and most comfortable pair. The black ones are amazing, so much so that I ordered it again in the Brown Nubuck leather. The brown is much tighter and narrower than the black, and this does not feel like the 6E width, although that is how it is marked. I'll keep it and use my shoe tree stretchers to try to widen it, but if you really need 6E width, stick with the black. I'll probably get another pair of those.

I really wanted to like these shoes. They look great, and slipped on easily, and I think that they are made with quality. Upon slipping them on, it felt like my heels were lower than the the front of my foot, but since this was my first time buying this brand and type of shoe, I accepted it as normal. Maybe this would be fine if you use an insert. Perhaps others can address this in their feedback if this worked for them.
I wore the shoes for about 4 hours, and developed pain across the top of my left foot, in the joint just up from my 4th toe. Two weeks later, I still have the pain in the morning when I get up, although it is gradually getting better.
This doesn't discourage me from trying another shoe from the manufacturer. I accept that it could be coincidence, and the problem developed from other factors.

These shoes fit me fine at my standard shoe size. Admittedly, for the first 6 weeks, they did hurt my feet and were noticeably uncomfortable to stand in for any length of time, but this could have been because my old shoes had such weak arch support that I wasn't yet acclimated. After 6 weeks, they feel fine. They're certainly not as soft as sneakers, but they're okay as leather dressy shoes. I like the insoles in these shoes because they're made of a sort of felt material. My old shoes seem to actually have leather even on the insoles. With this felt material, if they start to smell bad, you can just remove them and wash them in soap and water, let them dry, and you basically have brand-new clean insoles. Speaking of which, I think Zappos needs to be more careful about their return policy, because I think I was sent someone else' used shoes as my "new" shoes that I paid full price for twice. So, I bought two pair of these shoes. The first's insoles had HAIR stuck to them. I'm not sure if it was dog hair or human hair, but I made sure to wash both them and the shoes in soap and water before wearing them. (Yes, surprisingly, you can wash leather shoes in soap and water. I'm done it plenty of times.) The second pair of shoes' had small permanent marks in a few places on the insole as if they'd been scratched by finger nails or worn for a couple months. These are decent shoes (which I am keeping), but I wonder how careful Zappos has been handling them.

I like the feel and true size of these shoes but for a slip on the heel padding is cheap and broke down the first time I had them on.

They were billed as 6E width…. They were not. Frustrating for those of us with wide feet.

The 6e width was too narrow for my foot. I have been buying that size in other dunham captains shoe and they usually fit.

I wear an 11.5 4E and my go-to brand is New Balance. I include that for a reference if you're looking at these. Maybe I received a pair that was mislabeled, but maybe they just run small. I couldn't even get these on. Liked the look, but one star for comfort with the size being that far off.

After a few months, the back padding started to break and little pieces of the backing will break off into the shoe. Definitely not great quality!

These are very comfortable shoes. I use them for work about 25% of the time. However, I do not free they have held up well. The material at the back of the shoe has worn out and frayed. I always use a shoe horn and have no idea why this happened. I can not recommend this shoe due to the lack of durability.

I bought a Dunham shoe (from Zappos) 3 years ago, and so expected the same fit when I purchased the exact same size-- 8.5 with a width of 6E. ZAPPOS should be quality checking the inventories! There is NO WAY that this new shoe is a 6E. And I think the manufacturer neglecting to put a width measurement on the shoe itself, but rather attaching a removable sticker on the bottom that reads "6E" is a DISHONEST practice. (I suspect that the only difference between the 4E and 6E is the removable sticker that lies about the width, frankly.) Why set yourself up for dissatisfaction and necessary returns?

Good looking shoe. Like many shoes marked wide, they are not.

Fit and size are consistent. This is probably the 4th pair we've purchased. Size 12, Width 6E. However, foot doctor wishes they had arch support! Plantar Fasciitis is not helped with these shoes. But... there are so few 6E shoes made, we just have to deal with it.

Darn near impossible to put on, hardly what one would call a "slip-on". I've bought Dunham Shoreline MCN420SB multiple times in the past and they are wonderful, but apparently no longer available. 'Trying to find something to replace them.

Ordered extra wide (4E), got 2E and they are very narrow. Look good but not going to fit any even slightly wide foot.

I only gave this shoe one star overall for the following reasons. I bought the Nubuck version. I wear an 11-1/2 B. I've bought many slip-ons over the years. I've never had a slip-on, new or old, that was this difficult to get into. Yes, I use a shoehorn.
Once the shoes are on my feet, they're very comfortable and fit as I expected. They're also a devil to take off my feet. I really have to struggle to remove them. Thank goodness I don't have arthritis in my hands.
I can only hope they will become easier to take on and off as they break-in. Don't wear these new in a TSA line. A pair of eight-eyed laced boots would be easier to remove.
The shoes have a very pronounced V-notch at the top of the heel and I think that is the main reason they're so difficult to put on and take off. The inside of the heel is also finished with a grippy material. Buyers beware.

The problem with the shoe is that the heel almost conforms to the same height as the sole of the shoe makes walking near flat footed and uncomfortable.
I'd also recommend:
Teva slip on shoe not available. Brands change shoe composition making recommendations dubious.

Too tight across the top, elastic does not expand to allow the foot to enter the shoe. It felt like it was at least one size in width too small!
