I have a extra wide foot. This shoe fits me very well and is comfortable to wear.

Glad I found Durham shoes are still available! I had a two pairs of shoes from other big name "high quality (i.e. expensive)" manufacturers that were about 10 years old each. I hadn't worn them very much, mostly saving them for special occasions . One pair looked new, the other still looked very good and should have had lots of wear left in them. I started to wear the less worn shoes, but found the soles and other parts started cracking and disintegrating and within a week were totally unwearable. Tossed them, and figured I'd wear the second pair of shoes from the different manufacturer. However I was surprised to find the same problem. After a week, they totally self-destructed from just drying out and rotting. The soles fell off. I then remembered I had a pair of Durham winter boots that I bought 40 years ago and figured if this trend held, then I might be making even more room in my closet. I hadn't worn these Durham boots much since moving to a less snowy climate. They still looked like new. After wearing them a bit to be sure they were okay, I found that unlike my newer shoes, they were still as solid as new! No sign of cracking or rot, and were still comfortable. This convinced me to go look for Durham, even if I had to pay more. I found these Rockport/Durham shoes were very competitive price wise. They look good, seem to be well built, and are comfortable. I don't often buy shoes, but friends and family tell me Rockport has a very good reputation for quality shoes, so I hope these last like my old boots have done. (Although I'm sure I'll be wearing them more often, and maybe try to wear them out.)

A hard to find shoe. An extra-wide, comfortable, soft-soled shoe. I can wear for work or casual wear.

I ordered the shoe to replace my black casual work shoes. I am very impressed with how comfortable and sturdy the shoe is. Very good shoe. This is a must have for a big man on the go that wants a shoe that looks good casual and dressed up.
