Excellent product. Be sure to wear for a short time and build up. Great for runners and ballet dancers. And the Zappos service and experience is the best of any on line retailer- even better than Amazon and Apple which are great.

I love my birks! They were slightly uncomfortable for the first few times that I wore them, but as you break them in they become much more comfortable. I'd recommend these sandals to anyone!

This is my second pair of these shoes. I also have the white patent leather ones. I tried on some of the other Arizona gel soft insoles but none were as comfortable as these!

Reading costumers reviews as a male I ordered 8 (41) and My foot is quite regular. By the way I ordered first at another retailer. When the sandals arrived I found out they were to tight and the foot like in a box. I returned them as number 9-91/2 was not available at their site. Then I turned to Zappos and found 9-9 1/2. Ordered them and they arrived within days. Perfect fit. Any male with a regular 8 foot consider my advice. Order number 9-91/2 (42).

I bought the black patent in size 38 narrow. I normally wear a size 7 1/2. In Clarks I wear a size 7. (Hopefully helps you with sizing.) I tried the 38 regular in this shoe but I was at the last notch and the was a little too much room near the toes. The narrow fit much better. Also, I never buy a narrow shoe. I have an average 7- 7 1/2 size foot. Hope that helps someone with sizing! Comfort? Love them! But I don't think they are for everyone. My feet smile when I'm in them. I'd buy more but even though I think they are great sandals I think they are a bit expensive. Zappos is fast, convenient and great customer service. Happy with these sandals!

I got the Black Oiled Leather in the size 39N because I read reviews that the normal was too wide. However, when I received the shoes (in about two days! Thanks, Zappos!), the shoes were a little too short. I normally wear either size 8 or 8½ shoes, so I did not think that the length would be a problem. The width was also a bit small, but still quite comfortable. In addition, the buckle closest to the toes is a bit uncomfortable on the left foot. The bottom leather part is a tad too short and rubs against my foot. The right shoe does not have that problem at all. I will be returning these to exchange for a size bigger and also a normal width though because I prefer a more roomy fit.

I love these sandals they are awesome. First off you need to know your size and your feet have to fit just right inside the footbed and heel cup to work properly. When you get them they will be very stiff and hard but after walking in them for a few days or more and flexing them they will break in. The construction is very high quality and the leather is very nice. For me my size in shoes is 11 in these sandals I had to go down a size to get the right fit. Measuring your feet big toe to heel and figuring out the Birkenstock sizes you will get a good fit. Birkenstock says an 1/4 of inch in front of big toe and heel and 1/8 from foot to strap. For me getting the right fit was important.

I have these in red and they are the most comfortable pair of sandals I have ever had. I bought them in orange because I could not find the yellow. I've since found yellow and I ordered them too! All of these colors have been discontinued so if you find your size - order them!

Got these in the black Almalfi leather, which I really like, it looks very sleek. I've never tried the soft footbed before and have worn Birks for years, but so far it feels great! They definitely feel a little more springy and soft, but the footbed is still firm and molding to my feet like any other Birks would, so it's very comfortable. The leather still needs some breaking in, but that's fairly normal. They are true to size for me - you actually want a bit of room around your toe area. I'd recommend!

These shoes are as reliable as roast mutton. They're comfortable enough to wear all day, and now it's become fashionable again to wear them with socks! I owned two pairs of Birkenstocks for before purchasing this one. Bought my first pair in 1991. Paid about this price for it...in 1991. The price for these shoes has not increased in 25 years! How many things worth having can you say that about? Go on, click the button already!

This is my first experience with the Birkenstock brand. I am still breaking them in, but so far so good. They provide good arch support. Regardless of the shoe fit, I am thrilled with the way Zappos handled my need to exchange the shoe for a larger size. There were no hassles and a very swift resolution of the problem. Thank you for restoring my faith in customer service. You shine above the rest!

Being a long time fan of Birks, I had to have these "dressy" shoes for my son's wedding. The soft footbed is quite comfortable and the shiny patent is just too cool. Comfy and classy; just right!

Overall this is a really fantastic shoe and I'm fully happy with my purchase! The shoes are not only comfy-cute but help to support my abused arches after months a combination of terrible foot wear and standing all day as a hair stylist. My order was one hundred percent clear and the shoes arrived right on schedule in perfect condition. I will definitely continue to purchase all my Birkenstocks from Zappos!

Careful ladies...these are wide for men unlike the Birkenstock you would buy in the women's shoe department. Order the narrow. I can imagine the right size would be super cute.

Bought these for my niece to wear to college. She was thrilled with them. She chose the narrow. The 40 was perfect for her size 9.

I love my new sandals. They are super comfortable and they look good, too. Birkenstock is all I wear in the summer, I have arthritis and need comfortable shoes. This is my favorite pair so far, I love them!

My husband loves these, and wears them everyday in the house, running errands, etc. These are his second pair; first pair lasted 3 years of daily wear. I also have a pair in suede that I wear daily inside the house. Most comfortable shoes ever and excellent quality. These run big, we both had to order a half size down.

I have always wanted a pair of Birkenstock but they were always out of my price range. Well, I decided to splurge! I purchased these in stone and absolutely love them. They are my go to! I am usually an 8½-9, no arch (flat footed), narrow foot. I ordered a 39 and they fit perfectly. I would definitely recommend these sandals for an everyday, casual look. I have worn them with shorts and jeans, both looks are perfect.

Absolutely the bomb. Love them so much. The color of the leather is so different . They are perfect right out of the box. Zappos is the only shoe experience I ever want anymore. You can't beat the service. You can't beat the selection of all you want.

I have a triple EEE width and usually order 10.5 wide shoes. The Birkenstock 42 fits perfect when the leather straps are let fully out. Very comfortable.

I have not had a new pair of Birkensocks for 20+ years. I had a pair of gray leather Birks that got me through high school and college in the 90s. Best shoes ever. When the cork broke I did not know at the time that I could send them in for repair. So I recycled them and never got a replacement. Now that I am older I have some arthritis in my toes and occasional Sciatic pain. I recently bought a pair of Olukai thongs to wear around the house, The arch support in those thongs have helped with the toe and back pain. Since I have had such relief from a little arch I support I decided I needed something even more supportive that I could wear outside the house and possibly even to work. I purchased the Birkenstock Arizona in Red Nubuck with the softbed. I didn't even know that Birkenstock made a soft footbed. What a concept. I received my shoes on Monday thinking I would need to break them in for a few weeks. what a surprise when I put these on with the soft footbed. I wore them right out of the box with no break in period. The Nubuck is so soft. The foot bed is cushy. Not cushy like a pair of running shoes, more like a thin cushy in a pair of Keen sandals. But the 4 points of support in the Birkenstock footbed far surpass any other sandal I have ever worn. In terms of style, these are amazing. Red Nubuck with a white buckle and a white sole. So cute, sporty, and go with everything. Whoever is styling these new Birkenstock shoes should be given an award for awesomeness. If they had these amazing color options and styles in the '90s I would have owned more Birks! I have not taken these off my feet (except to go to bed) all week. I took a peek at the 2015 Autumn collection at the Birkenstock webpage and am already drooling over the new styles. I can't wait until the new styles come out to order a new pair. I paid full price for these shoes (and I never do that) and they are worth every penny. I know they will last years and years. I ordered about 10 pairs of Birkenstocks, different styles, sizes and colors. Zappos shipped them to me the next business day and I returned the ones that didn't work without a problem from Zappos. With 2 toddlers I can't go shopping for shoes. Zappos makes me feel like a princess shipping me the shoes and allowing me the good fortune of trying them on in the comfort of my own home. I wear an 8-8.5 shoe. I prefer a wide sized shoe but those are hard to come by. I ordered these in a 38 Regular and they fit perfect. I also tried the Gizeh and Mayari styles. I originally wanted the Gizeh, but the Arizonas are a pinch wider and a classic style. I might get the Gizehs for next summer. For now I think I will get more use out of the Arizonas. On a side note I was pleasantly surprised with the alternative to leather options. The Birko Flor and Birkubuck were non leather and Nubuck that looked like leather and Nubuck and had a soft underside. To sum it up, the Birkenstock Arizona in red Nubuck with the soft footbed are like clouds on my feet.

I bought these sandals to replace an old pair of Birkenstock sandals I have had for many years. This is the first pair I have had with the soft footbed and I love them. They are extremely comfortable and provide good support. They tend to run a little bit large, so while I normally wear a size 9 shoe, I had to order these in an 8.5. Would highly recommend this sandal.

I wore my last pair of Arizona Birkenstocks until they could go no more. Had to replace them. These are the most comfortable sandals I've ever worn. I'm retired so these are part of my daily uniform. Zappos service is beyond compare. I ordered these sandals one afternoon and they were here the next afternoon. Zappos, you rock.
