A Timeless Classic - another 5 stars to Zappos.com! These shoes run big so I used the free UPS shipping label and was able to exchange my Desert Boots for a size smaller. I got the Sand Suede color and they are a work of beauty. Highly recommended!

Back to the future! I wore Clark's Desert Boots (or knock-offs) as a kid over 30 years ago. I really liked this classic design then and after a long hiatus, I like it now. They are about as comfortable as you can get (I teach and am on my feet a lot). Last year, I bought 2 brown pairs and have just ordered a black pair. A tip for the wide-footed: I usually wear a wide width (2E) but found the Medium (M) in these boots very forgiving. The shoes soon and easily conformed to my feet. They were never too tight. The size was on the mark.

Personal favorite, however... I love these boots, I just wished they weren't so slippery and had arch support. I would slip on any concrete that was wet and I had no traction on sand. My arches were always sore at the end of the day. Clarks probably puts something addictive into their boots cause I currently own 2 pair and want to replace them with 2 more since the souls wear out so fast. Help my addiction please...

Fantastic! Wow! The shoes look even better than the on-line photo. I was looking for nice pair of comfortable, classic shoes. The Desert boots fit the part. Look great, feel great. I've got the brown and may now have to get the black. Absolutely outstanding service from Zappos. I requested standard shipping but Zappos sent my pair of Desert boots 2nd Day air, all for no shipping charge. I'm one happy Desert Rat!

Clarks Desert Boots - My first expereience with Zappos and I was very pleased. The product I wanted and shipped to me at my home. What more could I ask for. No mall crawling! Great!!

Could Clark's still be 'Tops'? I had my doubts. But yes, The Desert Boot is still one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The real test of a comfortable shoe is when you put it on you forget about it almost immediately. It's not tight or restricting circulation, like most new shoes. These Clark's passed the test!

Same as British Officers at Central Command, Tampa Fl. First wore these at Madrid, High school in Spain, in the 60's. Went through at least 5 pair before moving on to Weejuns. Asked a British officer where he got his. Couldn't go to England so started searching the web. Zappos is one of the few places I found them. Almost like going back to my youth in Spain. Great feel, great fit, great look. Got the tan, will get the brown next. Can't wait to run in to the Brits in the PX here to show them my Desert Boots. Fit better than my GI issue desert boots.

My feet feel very comfortable in this pair of boots. Not too loose, not too tight. They are light so you can walk a long distance with them on your foot. They look great with your casual khakis and white jeans. I highly recommend Clarks's Desert Boot to those who enjoy the casual way of dressing on weekends.

Very comfortable, very attractive. Careful, the sand color gets dirter very easily.

Love my Clarks desert boots! These are very versatile shoes, they go with jeans and a polo shirt, as well as a suit. Very stylish they will always be a part of my wardrobe.

I hope they loosen up. I really wanted a 10.5 Wide in this shoe, but since you do not provide Wides, I've been suffering through Mediums hoping they will loosen up. Not very promising so far, I have to untie the laces after a few hours.

At long last - I have wanted these boots as long as I can remember and they are definitely everything I hoped for. As these boots were not offered in women's sizes, I ordered the men's size two sizes smaller than normal and they fit perfectly. I am looking forward to a long and comfortable relationship with them.

An Oasis of a Desert Boot - Comfortable right out of the box and within a few hours the shoe vanished and I was walking on air. One great boot!

Sir can I have another… pair - I was looking for a pair of black suede boots and stumbled across these. I purchased a pair thinking that they would be like all the boots I have purchased, but boy was I wrong. They didn't take that long to break in (today is the second time I have worn them and I have had them for about a week now) and they feel like they were built for my feet specifically. The black looks dressy enough for dress casual here at work and since I am on my feet for most of it; they are very comfortable.

I feel like a teenager again. I've been wearing Desert Boots since the mid-'70s, and I'm so happy that they're still available. I've noticed that they're no longer made in England (Slovenia), but the quality seems to be on a par with the older ones. After a short break-in period, Desert Boots are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, including sneakers. My only complaint is that the sizes are a little off - English sizes and American sizes differ slightly, so us Yanks should probably order 1/2 size smaller than usual. Please include an extra pair of laces, or let us know where to buy them. They're cotton and don't hold up particularly well.

Buying Back My Teenage Years - These are the shoes I wore in high school. They are exactly the same as they were in 1968. They are just as comfortable, just as sturdy, and look just the same as they did over 30 years ago. I expect they'll last as long as my last pair. Thanks Zappos for making them available!

Classic comfort - Great boots with jeans or kahkis. Some of the comments in other reviews said that they were large for the listed size. I did not find them that way. I had to break them in before they were comfortable. Order your regular size and let them break in.

2nd pair was just like the first - exactly what I wanted. These boots require some break in time, but soon become very soft and comfortable. I had to get the new pair because the soles wore out. They were about 18 months old and had been worn a lot and the uppers were in excellent shape. I like the shoes and will buy another pair when these die.

What a Shoe! I began wearing Clark's Desert Boots in the late 50's. I have almost always had at least one pair. I have worn them in the jungle and even in the Desert. In fact, I wore out at least 6 pairs in the Desert in the Middle East. I love these shoes.

What a great shoe. I remember wearing these back in high school and haven’t seen them since. They are all I remember and more. Cool, comfortable, lightweight and they look great with jeans or khakis. On my first order, I was a half size too big. I returned them and got them back at no extra charge and the price was very fair. I’m very satisfied.

Good shoe, sort of. I really liked this shoe when I bought it, but after about a year the sole on the outerside of the right foot wore down to a point where it seperated from the shoe. But besides that small fact I think that it is a good shoe.

Still a Classic - I've owned Clark's Desert Boot for over 40 years. This still has the same classic good looks and comfort. If Clark keeps making this boot with the same quality, I'll wear them for another 40 years.

I haven't had a pair of these since the seventies and they are just like I remember them -. Comfortable, little or no break-in time with that down to earth look that only gets better the more you wear them. Thanks Zappos for the great customer service (2 day delivery was outstanding). I will be making future purchases from my new best friends in "shoe" business, Zappos.com. Oh, one more thing about Clark's of England shoes. Order them one half size smaller than you normally would wear.

Best Boots Ever - I am a boot guy. When I set out to find a pair of boots in a mall. This is what I found. Very classic, very comfortable, suitable to any dress occasions. About 1/2 size larger though. No complains.
