These are solidly feeling shoes, a little heavy. I needed a pair like this for serious walking on a trip. The taupe looks very nice and does not shout "sneaker!" from the rooftops. I was surprised to see that even though I had ordered a half size larger than usual, these are borderline too short (I feel my toes touching the front of the shoe). Unfortunately, I already see that a seam is beginning to split at the top of the shoe, and that's my smaller foot. I have not worn these shoes all that often, especially since returning from the weeklong trip. So I'm not sure the quality is as good as it initially looked.

I love these I had a 8 size but had to go to 7 1/2 ww they run a half size to big

My usual size is 7.5 Wide, however 8 Wide did fit me better. Have I grown? I have been wearing these shoes daily for some short walks going up the hill for about a mile. They are quite comfortable for a light walking. Probably will be good for a day city walk. They are replacing my ancient Easy Spirit Endurance that are no longer available. The reason I gave four stars is because I would like greater padding and would much prefer black leather instead of shiny patent. I would buy them again. Thank you Zappo's for your brilliant service!

I wear a narrow width, so finding any shoes at a reasonable price is practically impossible. However, these not only fit, but they look great. I wear a 9.5 or 10 in athletic shoes. I ordered a 10, and though it is a bit roomy (should have gotten the 9.5) they are perfectly wearable. I went back to get more, but the color selection is basically non-existent. Alas, I'll have to wait and see what shows up later.

My regular size in length worked in these shoes but the forefoot was much too narrow for what I expected in a medicum width shoe. Also although many said they used their custom orthotics I am under the assumption that they had the full length orthotics. I have the 3/4 ones and found the shoe liner was too thick to work with them. Also any liner really needs a flange at the arch area if it is going to cover an orthotic. These do not have that. I liked the way I could easily cinch them snug to my feet but over all they were a poor fit and I returned them.

This shoe felt very good at first but, after walking around a bit I realized my slightly longer right toe was bumping the front of the shoe. Sad becasue otherwise they felt great. The laces slid easily through the heavy duty nylon loops and the laces were exactly the correct length. No more having to double tie in order to shorten them.

I usually wear a size 10 but this shoe was too long so I am returning it for a half size smaller. Otherwise it is a super comfortable shoe that accommodates my orthotics. If the 9.5 works I'll probably order multiple colors! Thanks Zappos and Easy Spirit for offering extra wide shoes for those of us who are aging and have arthritis, bone spurs a plantar fasciitis!!!

I have wide feet, and the wide-width size was a great fit. These were comfortable the first time I put these on. No need to break these in. I am using these as everyday walking shoes. I chose the black pair to wear with street clothes.

I was looking for a pair of walking shoes that were not made of nylon but water resistant enough during light/moderate rain, with squarish toes and moderate support. These shoes met those requirements. I really wanted non-lacing shoes but could not find one so I settled a little with this pair.

These are surprisingly comfortable shoes, with plenty of room in the toe box. The insoles are padded but have no arch support, so I use a different insole. I ordered the black leather at the same time and could barely get my foot in. The suede shoes have more room.

I usually wear a 1/2 bigger but these fit fine......Not much support for any walking distance more of an errand shoe.

Not for serious walking. It is a cute shoe and I will wear it around the house and for running errands, but not the shoe I need for my daily two+ mile walks. There is not enough arch support. Also the heel needs more cushioning and stability.

This review is a bit premature as I bought this shoe to wear after doctor permits me to walk again after foot surgery. I bought 2x wide and half size bigger than normal to accommodate a swollen foot. I hope they work out as my other foot felt really great in them.

Shoes felt great! Very comfortable, great for walking. I do have a complaint though. After wearing them just five times, the material around the heel, the soft white stuff is beginning to pile really badly. I can't imagine what it's going to be like after I've worn them for awhile. Not what I expect from brand new shoes! Couldn't get picture to attach!

Very nice sneaker, very white! I might have given it more of a chance but they didn't 'bend' easily. I laced fairly tight and they still were sliding off my heal. Otherwise seems like a good shoe.

Good fit and arch support, and I like the construction and look of the shoe.

I really like this shoe. Very comfortable on my narrow foot.

I've been a fan of the Easy Spirit Romy shoe for years. I bought these for vacation where we will do a lot of walking. The Romy suede is a great looking walking shoe -- without the look of an athletic shoe. I bought a 9N which is the same size I buy for the leather version but it is big, a bit too long and a bit too wide. I may exchange for a half size smaller.

I like this shoe the narrow width was good. The problem I had was they were big in the heal I have near heel. So they slipped when I walked. That is the only reason I sent them back.

I really like these shoes for walking. this is the 3rd pair I've had because have not found any others that were more comfortable. the second pair came unstitched on a side seam but other than that they have been great shoes. I sure hope they keep making them for a while.

While not the most stylish, this shoe was comfortable from day 1. I ordered a 7.5 wide which is my normal size and it fit perfectly, accomodated my orthotics, and provided plenty of support for my weight training workout. Very happy with this purchase.

I ordered my regular size 8.5.Fit perfectly and was comfortable.I ordered the blue and liked it.Very good for the price.

I ordered 10 2A because of the "true to size" reviews. For me, this shoe was a full size too short in length and my heel slipped. Had to return them. Love the look of the shoe. Not as cushioned as I would have liked but ok. If an 11 2A became available I might give it a second try, just because I really like the look of these shoes. Maybe put a cushier insert in.

Very comfortable. One oddity: the sole of the sneaker is not as wide as the upper portion, meaning the sole or platform of the sneaker is the same width whether you purchase a W or a WW width, so I didn't get more width for my bunion with the WW width...

I just received this shoe last night in the White (multi leather) I ordered after reading glowing reports on the width and comfort. I need a extra wide shoe in the toe area but I have normal width heels and that's a hard combination but this shoe seems to fit the bill. I also need shoes with a little extra depth in the toes. I ordered this shoe in a 9WW and it feels great. The width up front is great and the lacing allows me to tighten it enough that is doesn't feel sloppy around the heel. The toe box is also nice and deep. I intend to remove the insole and replace with my own orthotic and these have plenty of room for that and the insole is removeable. I will be wearing these over the upcoming weekend and if they work out I will come home and order another color! As usual...Zappos earns a 10 1/2 on the scale of fantastic.
