I have been struggling to find walking shoes that are supportive but not too heavy. These accommodate my orthotics easily and seem very supportive . there is a nice high toe box which is important to me.

Great shoes for walking. Not super stylish, but definitely comfortable.

I have been buying Easy Spirit Romy sneakers for many Years. These are the only sneakers that comfortably allow my orthotics to fit. If I did not need Orthotics, I would buy the shoes 1/2 size smaller. I love these new suede look sneakers ...they look great.

I have the toughest time finding shoes that work for me beyond an hour. I have rheumatoid arthritis, joint degeneration in my ankles, knees & hips, and to top it off I (severely) broke both legs last year, and still have pain associated with that. I am a wedding videographer & in my private time I go to historical sites across the country, both which have me walking & standing for many, many hours. Usually I come home and am in very severe pain from the experience, so bad that I can't even sleep because even a sheet touching my leg is too much to handle. Well, I have tried almost every brand, and just when I thought I was out of luck, I found these shoes. I've had four very full days with them, where I've been on my feet for more than 5 hours straight each day, and I am shocked at how good I feel at the end of it. The shoes have a great cushion not only on the bottom, but the sides (which I was not expecting). My feet feel like they are wrapped up in a cloud. They have decent arch support, but not too much, which is perfect for me, because I don't like a very hard, definitive arch. Whether the surface is carpet or concrete, the shoes do a great job cushioning the impact of each step, and continue to provide support even when standing in place for 30+ minutes at a time. It's so hard to find shoes in all black, so I'm so happy I found these, and that they look nice when wearing them. I'm not sure how long they will continue to hold up, but it's really the first shoe in years that I've found comfortable beyond an hour or two. Even if they last a month, I will definitely just keep ordering replacements!

I have purchased this shoe many times. They fit perfectly right out of the box every time.

The Wide Shoes really felt good.

I took Zappo's advice and bought a 1/2 size larger. Too big Should have gotten my regular size.

So I had a bad fall last November, which resulted in a damaged knee, injured Achilles heel and turned one of my feet into a club foot. Needless to say, walking was difficult and painful. Most of my shoes are the Easy Spirit Traveltime and while i love them, I needed something with a little more support and an enclosed back heel. I tried another brand, popular and more expensive, known for good support, did nothing for me. Then I began reading the reviews of the Romy and decided to try a pair. When I took one out of the box and slipped it on my bad foot I wanted to cry. It felt like a deerskin glove. From the looks of the shoe it is heavy, but its not! Now I am a 73 year old woman with terminal cancer, whose meds cause balance issues and occasional dizziness. I use a cane occasionally due to the balance thing. I put the other shoe on and walked around my home for about 2 hrs. The support gave me enough confidence to go without a cane the whole time. And the comfort! Cradling is the only word I can think of for how it feels on a foot, especially an injured one. I have since ordered another pair in a different color. I was concerned they were going to look "old person" and "orthopedic" but they dont.....there are several happy colors. Give these a try. They have afforded me the luxury of being to walk again!

These shoes felt great from the start. I usually wear an 8-1/2 wide and that is what I ordered. Plenty of room in the toe box, but not too wide at the heel which is what I need. Would order these again.

Easy Spirit Romy fits well and is comfortable. I’ve purchased this style several times in the past. I’m glad they are available in narrow width. They wear well and are a good value for the price. Great service from Zappos!

I have been buying this brand for years. It was just as satisfactory as always--which is why I always replace a worn out pair with exactly the same thing.

I like that I can remove the insoles of these sneakers and replace them with insoles for plantar fasciitis. It works much better for me than the sneakers specifically made for that issue. They are comfortable, and true to size. My one complaint is that the shoelaces are slippery so one of them keeps untying.

I have had all kinds of tennis shoes including Ryka, but this one is the very best for walking/ exercising long distances. Just love it.

I've worn Easy Spirit shoe for years and wanted a replacement. The shoes arrived and are once again perfect. It is nice the length comes in half-sizes. I do not wear this shoe hiking, but everywhere else!
