I bought these in an 8.5 wide which was what Zappos recommended based on my fit of other sneakers. I bought the red and black patent/suede because I start a part time seasonal retail job and thought I could wear them there. I have never worn Easy Spirit before and was pleasantly surprised how much cushion these have! I am returning the red because I thought online they had more of a maroon tint but in person they are more red. I am keeping the black patent as they almost don't even look like a sneaker with bootcut pants on. I may try more in the future but more patent would be nice so we can wear them to work.

I was a little nervous that I would like look like the senior citizens who walk on my trail, but these shoes are perfect! I took them out of the box, put them on, and walked three miles with absolutely no discomfort. Usually a new shoe has to break in a little but not these. Super duper comfy, and even my teenage daughter approves of them! Wouldn't hesitate to purchase another pair when these wear out. Great shoe!

These are awesome, they feel like slippers. I got a double E since I have a wide foot and a high instep. My foot has been always hard to fit...I would buy again. I like things loose...I wear a 7 but bought a 7.5.

Wow! I haven't purchase a new pair of tennis shoes in two years and thought I would give the Easy Spirit Romy a try. Oh my gosh! This is the best pair of tennis shoes I've ever purchased. Cool, comfortable, roomy toe box, EE width fit me perfectly and my ankles, knees and hips stopped aching while I walk. I guess there is really something to be said about good shock absorption in the soul of the shoe. My next pair will be the same shoe, but in a different color. I would recommend this shoe highly to anyone who wants a good light-weight, comfortable shoe.

One of the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned. Wish they came in different colors. I ordered these to wear with Arizona braces that I have...the insoles come out and I ordered them a half size larger than I normally wear. This worked out well to fit the braces.

I love these shoes they are great. The only shoe I will buy for work.

Wonderful shoe. Very comfortable. On first wearing I got a small blister in 1 spot, but nothing else since then. Will probably get another pair.

I have a hard time finding sneakers and walking shoes that are comfortable. These are the only style I have been wearing for the past few years. I hope Easy Spirit continues to make them.

I read quite a few reviews on the wide width shoes and these seemed to be a great choice for other customers. I'm glad I did because these are great walking shoes and they're so comfortable. I wear a 10 2E and they're perfect. Just what I needed!

I love these shoes. You can put them on go to the gym with no break in period. I have a wide foot but the 6 1/2 regular fit perfectly. So they are perfect for a wide foot.

Love these shoes!!! I have never been able to buy a pair of sneakers because I have had a fairly narrow foot and my heels are also narrow. Even trying them on in stores didn't help but the Easy Spirit Romy is the perfect sneaker for me. The minute I put them on I walked through the grocery store and next time I walked through a warehouse club. I felt like I had had them forever. No slipping anywhere and I love these sneakers. I have already told all my friends and I thank you for having them and the excellent service.

A great sneaker - I tried 2 pairs of New Balance before I found these Easy Spirit sneakers. My feet are duck shaped -- wide in the front and narrow in the heel. These sneakers fit me and are very comfortable.

Instant comfort - These sneakers felt like they had already been broken in! As soon as I put them on, they gave me instant comfort. I feel that Easy Spirit run a bit larger than marked.

The shoe fit , but the toe cap was very stiff with a "plastic" quality to it. It was very uncomfortable, especially for my big toe. The tongue was also very puffy.

Narrow in the toe and wide in the heel, these shoes were a disappointment. Don't know how the designers made them so uncomfortable! Beware black suede, the front is surrounded by a stiff glossy patent inset that hurt my toes. Sending it back.

I am so thankful for Zappos and the ability to find extra-wide shoes here. None of our local stores have shoes that are wide enough for me. These fit the bill for sure. They're wide enough to not cramp my super wide feet, but not too loose either. They also don't rub uncomfortably against my big ankles. I've only had them a short while, but so far so good. I definitely recommend!

This sneaker meets my need to remove the innersole and insert orthotics, a brace, and a lift for length difference. The width and high toe box make the shoe comfortable for my flat feet.

I had just sent back two other pairs of shoes which pinched my foot (the one with a bunion) and so was very happy that this shoe fit, didn't pinch, and even when I added cushioning inserts, still fit very comfortably. I wore these shoes all afternoon and evening in great comfort. Since other reviews indicated these run large, and I often wear a 10, but sometimes a 9 1/2, I went with the 9 1/2 and they are good. Probably the 10 would have been fine as well. I got the WW width, which was the widest available.

I purchased this shoe for my 80 year old Mom who has lots of feet issues. She has bunions, one foot has a fallen arch, and her feet are in pain most days. She changes her shoes 2 or 3 times a day because of her foot pain. She absolutely LOVES these. I bought them in different colors because these are working so well. She is saying her feet are less painful since wearing these.

Appearance and comfort: I have this shoe in navy blue "suede." I would call it a walking shoe rather than an athletic shoe. I think it has sort of an out-door-sy, hiking-boot look to it. It looks great with my denim jeans and winter casual out-door wear. This shoe does not breathe as well as real leather. The materials inside the shoe are listed as leather/textile. I'm wondering if this means "man-made to look like leather." I'm keeping the shoe because the breathability is not so big a deal during our cold winter season, and the shoe is otherwise very comfortable with nice support. Sizing: In my usual size, 8.5 X-wide, this shoe runs super large. I went down a whole size to 7.5 X-wide, and the shoe fits me perfectly and accommodates my 8.5 X-wide orthotics just fine. Thank you Zappos for your user-friendly system that allows us to try different sizes in the same style and return shoes that don't fit at no cost.

Finally a shoe marked extra wide that actually is. Lots of room in the toe box. I thought they might be stiff, but they are a comfortable as can be. Like walking on clouds. The addition of patent leather makes the shoe nice for winter. I will be trying more Easy Spirit.

I think I’ve finally found my go-to sneaker. Super comfortable and good support with my custom orthodics. Uppers of many other brands get holes in them within a few months long before bottoms wear out, but not these. Just received my second pair. I wear them for Pickleball, gym and walking. Lots of great colors, too!
