New balance feels good - I ordered the shoe in white and love it as a walking shoe, but it is not real comfortable if you are just standing around. It feels great when you are walking though. Would not win a beauty contest, which is no different from any shoe of this type. Would buy again.

Because I wear a wide shoe I can't get comfortable sneakers in stores. Thank you Zappos. These are great. Since I work 12hour shifts on my feet I put Dr. Scholl inserts in the shoes before I wore them. There was plenty of room for the inserts and my feet felt great all day.

Sooo comfortable! I took these right out of the box, popped in my orthotics and walked three miles. They are super-cushy and bouncy and feel great. I won't lie, though--they rate pretty low on the attractiveness scale. I really wouldn't consider wearing them for anything but serious walking.

Not for me - I thought I'd found my shoe! Wide width but narrow in the heel - perfect. Deeper toe box - perfect. But then I noticed they were digging into my ankle bone. For some reason, New Balance decided to make the cut on the sides higher and there's no way I can take the ankle bone rub more than a short period of time. I read that in one of the reviews before I bought this shoe but hoped it might be different for me. Not so. I'm VERY disappointed that I have to send these shoes back because other than this one concern, they are great. Thanks, Zappos, for making the return so easy for me! One other thing ... a big thanks to New Balance for the pink ribbon on the tongue - a portion of the sales from this shoe goes to fight breast cancer.

Okay Shoes - I have never had black tennis shoes b/f and I like them every much. The fit is fine. I just had to buy 1/2 larger then I usually buy.

good working shoe - I bought this shoe for work. I added my own inserts as the arch support is lacking for someone who stands all day.

Zappos wins my vote, hands down. Helpful sales personel, free shipping, wonderful warranty, speedy service, great selections in size and WIDTH. WHAT MORE COULD I ASK FOR?

Satisfied - I'm pretty satisfied with the sneakers I purchased. When I have it all laced up including the top hole I find that it sometimes digs into my ankle a little, but when that happens I just unlace to the second hole. I also need to wear sneakers pretty much all the time for back problems and I find these sneakers don't stick out like a sore thumb when I'm not dressed so casually.

Got to love New Balance - These are the only shoes I can wear because of my foot condition and I am so glad New Balance continues to make these shoes. Before the WW575 was the WW574. These are practically identical and very comfortable. I just wish NB made more attractive shoes in wide widths. Just because my feet are wide, doesn't mean they have to look so blah.

Great looking with good padding, but not wide enough - I purchased this pair of shoes because it was available in a wide width. Unfortunately, it was not quite wide enough for my particular feet. The padding is fine and it is a decent looking shoe. The support is also fine. As always, I am quite happy with Zappos. We buy a lot of shoes through Zappos and will continue to do so.

New Balance faithful - I buy New Balance shoes because it is the only one with a narrow enough heel to hold my foot in. The shoe looks like a New Balance shoe and feels like one, too. I usually wear a size 9 shoe and had to order size 10 in this model of New Balance. When I got the 10, it felt comfortable and true to size.

Comfortable - Shoes are very comfortable, wear well when you have to be on your feet a lot.

Nice Lightweight Support - I have NB 925 which is a very good shoe for my flat feet and achilles tendonitis but it's very heavy. I wanted something that would provide good support but at a lighter weight. The NB 575 is a great solution. Very comfortable with moderate support, it's great for running errands or when I work a short shift at work.

Needs more padding in ball of foot - This shoe seemed to have more padding in the heel area than the ball of the foot, and it didn't feel as cushy as some of the other New Balance shoes I've had. I would have loved it if it had softer padding, & more in the ball of the foot. This shoe was the right width, but as other reviewers have said, it runs about half a size small. I wish NB would add more color to their shoes, & give you the option of styles in a leather version or the light weight mesh. Then I would get the comfortable running shoes. I have and absolutely love (style #1024), in both a leather version for cool days, & mesh for summer. Not all people that buy running shoes use them exclusively for running.

Disappointed - First I bought a 10 WW, since I wear a 10 in all other shoes. That was too short, really hurt my toes. I couldn't return them since I wore them grocery shopping (ouch!). I ordered another pair (size 11 EE because 10.5 was unavailable) and they fit. Unfortunately, the SL2 last, that was supposed to fit a narrow heel, slips just as much as any other heel. The sole is hard, and even after a few weeks of wear, stiff when walking. Not much cushioning inside, either.

Shorter than advertised - In addition to being ugly beyond belief, these clodhoppers made my 12 AAAA's look even bigger than they are while at the same time being too short. I ordered 12 AA. The square toe box is not the last for anyone looking for style in a casual shoe.

Fine Shoes - I had to re-order because the size I bought last from Zappos didn't work this time. I had to purchase a 1/2 size larger, which is no biggy for me. I'll remember to by big next time. I like the shoe.

Sizing not true - I usually take a 5 1/2 in New Balance shoes, however, I had to return those shoes and reorder a size 6. The 5 1/2 was way too short, but the width was fine. But returns are easy with Zappos. Thanks for the good service!

Terrible Shoes - If you like walking on a concrete block, then buy these shoes. These are one of most uncomfortable shoes I ever bought!! There is no padding on the sole of the shoe so your feet will hurt after several days of wearing them. Hurt to the point of not being able to walk. The sizing is inaccurate- I originally purchased a size 10WW and it was too short. With a size 10.5WW my feet slide around in the shoe. I was very disappointed in the shoe -for the money I paid I expected something better. I will be hesitant about purchasing another NB shoe.

The New Balance 575’s are nice and roomy in the toe box and snug in the heel. They are lightweight but provide no stability or support. There is also minimal (if any) cushioning. I have flat feet which are a bit sensitive in regard to fit. I sized up a full size in this model and still felt that my large toe was rubbing on the side of the toe box. Another feature that disappointed me was the stiff uppers. I highly doubt that they are actual leather. They look and feel like the pvc vinyl that many athletic shoes are made of these days. They are stiff! I was highly disappointed with this model. There was no way I'd chance walking a mile in these shoes, let alone wear them for a 12 hour shift at the hospital.
