Just what I wanted! The shoe was exactly what I was looking for, as I've worn earlier versions of this shoe. It fits well and stands up to the rigors of daily tennis use.

Best Shoes - I have been wearing this style shoe for several years on the tennis courts, clay courts, and I can't find a better fitting shoe.

Fabulous shoe - Bought these for my hubby. He pulled them out of the box and they have been perfect. But this is the fourth pair of NB we have purchased and always through Zappos! Fabulous site too....the shoes were at my door in one day! Highly recommend both!

This is a great racquet ball shoe. The Arch and cushion are less than optimal but I have great inserts that top this shoe off perfectly. My previous shoes were 650's and I totally wore them out over the years. All my friends have bought 650/653 over the years because of me wearing them and beating my friends in racquet ball. The shape in the front of the shoe, width-wise, could be improved.

New Balance 653 - Great shoe, size perfect - I wear a 15, wide toe box, comfortable from first fit. I played 2 hours of squash and my feet were the only thing that didn't hurt.

Good all-purpose shoe - My thirteen year old son has big, wide feet, and these fit him perfectly.

Comfort as usual - These sneakers are very comfortable in all ways. Plus your quick delivery service is greatly appreciated. And believe it or not, even the shoe laces coming already tied up are also a great service.

I don't play tennis but I do a lot of running around on hard surfaces. I really love these shoes; they fit perfectly, are supportive, comfortable, have good breathability and are good looking. I could walk around in these all day almost right off the bat. A really great choice over the chunkier, ankle-grabbing cross-trainers with no downside. I bought a second pair immediately so I don't have another frustrating search for a decent all-round sneak for a long time. Of course Zappos remains the only choice for mail order shoes. Have bought lots of shoes and done many exchanges and returns with not even the slightest problem.

This is a great shoe for tennis, both in looks and in comfort. It has very good shock absorption in the heel, which is good because I'm a big guy. This is my first purchase with Zappos, but my wife shops with them all the time. The first size did not fit, but the return procedure is so smooth, it wasn't difficult to get the right fit. I'm sold on Zappos!

Excellent all-around shoe - I don't play tennis but I do spend a lot of time in my New Balance CT 653's. They are incredibly comfortable for everyday wear. When I use them up I'll buy another pair and then probably another.

Shoe is very comfortable, looks great, and fits the bill for the walking I do.

Pleased with CT 653 - This is third pair in the '600' series of NB shoes I have worn. This shoe if as the previous two has tremendous wear characteristics and is very comfortable after wearing several times to get them broken in...

Great for young spirit with old feet. I am 58 years old and play +4.0 tennis four times a week. This shoe gives good support, has nice padding and has excellent traction. I especially like the "box" toe that gives a little more room to the spreading older feet. I wear this shoe for tennis and general leisure. Similar older version is relegated to work.

Great racquetball shoe - Great traction, long wearing, great shock absorbing. I needed much more arch support than these provide, so purchase inserts as well

The shoes are great. They looked great and fit well. They shipped quickly as well.

My First New Balance - Top Notch! They fit perfectly and I love the way they take corners. The rack and pinion is superb. And I really can feel the torque. Whatever that means. They look good from every angle. Even from the bottom. Thank you, Zappos. Thank you.

I Like This Shoe! Thanks to New Balance for making tennis shoes in wide widths! My feet usually blow out the side of a tennis shoe long before the tread is gone, but there is no such lateral pressure with my new 4Es. They were comfortable right out of the box - no break-in period needed - and my feet are much less 'tired' after three sets of Monday night doubles. Can't talk about durability since they are new, but I'm guessing the gum sole will do its job.

New Balance repeatedly the best fit in shoes... These are great shoes. I'm very pleased with them as I have been of all my New Balance shoe purchases.

Shiatsu massage for your feet- Once every 500 years a shoe comes around that breaks all the rules, that pushes the envelope of comfort and mobility, they are nice shoes.

Solid tennis sneaker - Very comfortable, true to size.

I use this shoe specifically for indoor racquetball. Overall a good shoe, a bit wide for its size but not so wide that it's uncomfortable. The gum-rubber sole really helps with traction on a clean wood floor. Reasonably comfortable with regards to cushion. Overall, I would buy this shoe again.

Not wide enough! I usually wear double E width tennis shoes. The single E width Zappos had in stock was far more narrow. I now know that there is a big difference in feel between the two widths. Don’t order single E if you like the feel of double E or higher.

Solid Tennis shoe - These are good looking in a non flashy way. They are comfortable playing tennis and in general use. They have good court grip and the soles have long tread life. I would recommend them.

Good tennis shoes - The best feature of this shoe is the sole, which does appear to be very tenacious, durable, and strong. The uppers are fairly usual, I think. My feet have always fit Nikes best, but that's just me. This pair is comfortable, and as noted, seems well made.
