The best shoe ever made - I'm 63 years old and I have been wearing the Madison since I was 13 years old. I have every color in the boot and almost every color in the low cut, looks like I came in with the Stacy Madison and I guess I'll go out in them.

Madison - Very comfortable and purchased to use as dance shoes (full leather bottom). I was able to dance the night away without even thinking about new shoes that weren't broken in. Only disappointment is that I wanted black and only brown was available.

I bought the Madison in brown about a month ago. It is classy as the picture suggests and more comfortable than I imagined it would be. The shoe appears to be well made, with a glossy leather upper and solid leather sole. For a person who has feet of average width, I suggest getting the shoe in your size. I wear a 10 1/2, but bought the shoe in an 11 thinking that I needed the larger size to get the width I wanted. No need; a 10 1/2 would have worked fine.

Why I like Stacy Adams's shoes - I've been wearing Stacy Adams shoes for several years now, and find them to be one of the best shoes on the market as for comfort, style, looks and overall durability. These are only shoes that I wear that are true to size, and you don't have to go through what I call a break in period, they feel comfortable from the first time you put on until you you wear them out. In fact, these are the only shoes, to me that the more you wear them, the more they continue to mold to your feet. I give them a 5 star all around.

Very Impressed - I have very wide feet, this is THE most comfortable dress shoe I have ever worn, period. And Under $100.

Truly happy that I purchased these shoes - This pair of dress shoes is just what I had hoped to find. I wear them 3-4 evenings every week. I am a musician in a symphony orchestra and they look and feel very good with my tuxedo and tails.

Greatest Shoes - Stacy Adams are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I've been wearing Stacy Adams since I was about 17 years old; I'm still wearing them 30 years later. I don't understand why they are so hard to find. I'v been searching the internet and I finaly found this Zappos.com which offers the largest selection I have seen in a long time. I'm still looking for a gray pair of concords size 11 1/2 D. Thanks Zappos. P.S. I also just ordered about six pairs of shoes, just in case.

The Best I've Ever Felt... For those guys out there who aren't really into the,"old man's," shoe, lemme say something. About a year ago I just turned 18 and I was getting off late from work. I saw a man in a suit, and the design was from Armani. He had a Rolex, a Mercedes, and an amazing confidence. The works right? Now, me being an average Joe, I envied him. But, I deposited my check and went home as a common man. The next day it hit me. I had never owned a single pair of dress shoes, a dress hat, or a suit. I stood up and said enough was enough and headed out to shop around. I grabbed a nice pair of Stacy Adams from Burlington Coat Factory and I was hooked. My first pair. So, I grabbed another pair, and another, and now all I wear happens to be Stacy. I bought a pinstripe suit, bought another suit, etc. Then I grabbed some Dayton's style Stacy's. And pieced together what now makes me the envy of all my friends. I slap on a nice Wilson's Leather watch or something that fits well with the suit and I feel better than ever before. Even my Dad said I finally had some style he could be proud of. I'll never forget when I put my feet in those first Stacy's. It was the best I've ever felt in any shoe, ever......

Dress comfort - The perfect shoe and the perfect color when brown just isn't right. Can be worn for a dressy occasion, or business casual. Super comfortable and have been told many times, how great the shoe looks.

black and gray madison - 1930's and 40's era all over again . What once was old is new once more. Why walk in plain dress shoes when you can make a statement without saying a word. Black and gray with a pinstripe suit, eat your heart out Al Capone. Do you want to lead or follow? If your a follower this shoe isn't for you. But if you are your own man, slip into a pair and watch heads turn. Tommy gun sold seperately.

Nothing beats a Madison - I wear nothing Madisons for dress and casual clothing. Most of my peers are clergymen and we all wear madisons or the boots which some of us jokingly refer to as "OLD MEN'S COMFORTS" because these are truly very comfortable boots and the look just as good as they feel. I've been a Stacy fan for years and buy nothing but Stacys. One of the unique features of the Stacys is the way they turn up at the toes and the distinctive white lacing around the soles. These features make the Stacys an unusual shoe together with the quality and looks can't be beat.

Pea Soup. I'm a woman who wears mens shoes all the time because they're comfortable. Sage is not the almost flourescent green-yellow pictured, but more of a drab pale lime green with no yellow. Also, these shoes were quite a bit narrower than I expected from D width, and about 1 inch longer than I expected from a mens size 8. I'll be trying them in a wider width and smaller size. My boyfriend has some Stacy Adams in another style. He says they've worn very well, and were quite comfortable after the break-in period.

Fits like a glove. I've had a pair of these shoes for twenty years, even though I don't wear them everyday. I've had the heels replaced, but the rest of the shoe is in very good condition.

Proud owner I am 69 years old and can remember my father&uncle wearing Stacy'smore than forty years ago when we called them "old man comforts" but they are not just for old men. I own several pair, some of which are more than 15 years old. I just ordered a blue Madison boot and a red Madison low cut. I know that I will be the biggest hit in my crowd. These shoes are so comfortable that I recommend them to anyone that apperciates "class&style" (also bad feet). Since the new colors are out I will becoming a regular customer.

This shoe is the BOMB!! Hey listen, I'm a die-hard Stacy Adams fan, I especially like the ones with the white stitching. I just bought the red ones and the burnt orange ones (WOW!). They're so classy. It's, by far, my shoe of choice. My shopping cart is full of all different colors right now. I'm just waiting for a little extra money. But you better bet the farm, I'll be ordering more of my favorite shoes in all the world. YOU GO STACY ADAMS! You've got one satisfied customer.

Outstanding. Yes, white people can wear Stacy Adams. The Madison is really a fantastic shoe. I recommend, however, that the shoe be treated with Meltonian shoe cream (of the appropriate color) once or twice before worn, so that the leather molds itself nicely to your foot for maximum comfort. Also, the shoe is of a "longer" style -that is to say, it will be longer than the typical shoe of the same size, but that's just the style, and it's very comfortable. While so many of the colors are so interesting, some of us work in positions where loud colors on shoes would not be appreciated. If that's you, and you want to buy a Madison in an interesting color without offending the Man, I suggest the olive green and navy to be outstanding choices. You could probably also get away with the gray. This is a great shoe, well worth the pricetag. Get it. And get it from Zappos.
