Bought these because I thought the spring technology would help my neuropathy in my feet and legs that I got from from chemo. My knees were in pain and my feet legs were weak. It was difficult to walk more than a few blocks. But after wearing these shoes I can walk a lot more and my knees no longer hurt. I even wear them around the house now, I think they keep me in the right alignment and the springs help giving me momentum in my step.

I am coming back for my second pair. I am on my feet all day at work plus mall walk in these shoes. I had my original pair 10 months with nary an ache in my feet! I am hard on my shoes and these shoes kept pace with me.

I have been wearing a pair of black Spira's in this style for about 5 years and just now wearing out. I'm talking 5 years of standing on concrete floors all day. They are made of the best quality leather and I have problem feet and had a job at Sam's Club where I stood on my feet for 9 hours a day. These shoes saved my "job" because if I hadn't discovered these shoes I would have had to quit my job due to foot stress. I got all the other people in my department wearing these. They seemed a bit expensive at first and some of my friends hesitated, but after they saw and heard my "testimony" to the comfort of these shoes they were sold on them. I have been laid off for about 5 years now but have still continued to wear these shoes and now I am getting ready to purchase them in white so I can wear them out and about. I can't say enough good things about these shoes. I recently bought a pair of tennis shoes at a store and I was skimping that day due to something we all have "bills" so I went ahead and bought a pair of other brand shoes for $40, well you get what you pay for and I am in pain in these shoes. Spira is the only way to go if you want comfort. Forget the neon, pink, blue, chartreuse and all the other fancy athletic shoes. If you have the least bit of foot problems, or even if you don't, you will love the way these shoes can get you through a whole day with no pain.

Fabulous shoes and impeccably made - love the stability of the coils, too! I wear an 11-W to accommodate lovely prescription orthotics. Sometimes you have to give up style to get the right fit. However, with these shoes, I didn't give up anything or trade-off! I have been able to wear these shoes without any break-in period for hours on end. No leg fatigue or back pain...just feel like I could keep on stepping out.

This is my third pair. I have tried several other brands and none have come close to the comfort of Spira. I am disappointed that this style is the only one that comes in WW. I would love to have a colorful style in this size.

I have been wearing these shoes for several years and cannot be without them. They are wonderful for my knees and back. The shoes have soft places around the ankles and the springs in the heels soften the the walk. I wish that they came in a color besides white and black. Brown and/or blue would be great.

Just got these shoes and am wearing them around the house to make sure I like them. I have a very wide foot and have been having issues with the last 3 or 4 pairs of tennis shoes I have tried. I can already tell these are keepers and so comfortable. These may be my new favorite shoes. I think these will be perfect for errand days and walking my dog and won't tire my feet out. A little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and these are definitely quality shoes that will last. When your feet hurt you hurt all over. A good comfortable shoe is priceless. And as always Zappos is number 1 in customer service.

About a year ago I broke my big toe and ever since I have had trouble with pain in my left foot. No shoe seemed to resolve my pain so I finally thought I would try Spira. Wow, what a difference these shoe made. I wear them around at home and also when I go on my walks. They are a little heavier than usual but the support, cushion, comfort, etc. is amazing. These are the best shoes ever. They are the only ones I have worn for the last 5 years! No other shoe and no other style of Spira will do.

I work outside and walk on concrete several several hours (and miles!) each day. I had been wearing safety shoes for years which were ruining my feet and giving me foot and back pain (no matter which kind/brand/size I tried). I switched to these two months ago and am no longer battling with pain of any kind! They seem to fit true to size, and I find the toe box is roomy, which is perfect. The step is cushiony and comfortable, and I feel well-isolated from the hard concrete. I have worn them in storms and flooding and didn't have issues with wet feet (though I don't know if they're actually waterproof). I would recommend these to any hard walker looking for comfort.

I fractured a major bone in my foot some years ago. As years passed, buying comfortable shoes became more and more difficult. Last fall I ordered more than 10 pair of comfort shoes from three high end retailers. All were returned and I returned to my old, worn out shoes. In Feb, I decided to try again and ordered this shoe. When it came, I cautiously tried on the left shoe, then set them aside and tried the other shoe in an hour or so. Oh well, the next morning I decided to try on both shoes at one time before returning them. These shoes are awesome - giving more support in the right places to troubled feet than any shoes I have ever worn. I no longer have the aches and pains related to a fractured metatarsal bone. I am past retirement and this is the best shoe I have ever worn.

GREAT shoe and I'll buy it again, but will get a full size larger than I usually wear. I think the text did advise that and I didn't listen. I'm a respiratory therapist and work very busy 12 hour shifts, constantly walking on concrete floors, sometimes carrying heavy stuff. On days when I wear these shoes, my lower back pain is not nearly what it was (I had trouble getting into my car after a shift). I've been telling all my colleagues about them. Expect more orders from southern in!

This is the 5th pair of these I have purchased. I walk between buildings in the winter snow & in the rain. The higher sole that accommodate the springs keeps the leather looking good. I have a wide foot, but the toe box on these is good for my feet. By the time I get around to buying a new pair I wonder why I waited so long. These shoes are so comfortable and a joy to walk in.

Have bought these shoes for years, and absolutely love them. Fit great, feel great. I wear orthotics, and they work well with them.

I have worn this shoe for a long time. I have heel spurs and this shoe is very comfortable. It is durable and it looks nice.

These shoes were my third try. Like "they" say, "The third time's the charm." After looking and looking and ordering and sending back, I tried these Spira Classics. The reviews sold me. When they arrived and I slipped them on I was amazed. I will be ordering another pair. I have a knee injury and as I've gotten older, it has become more problematic. The shoes allow me to stay on my feet longer without as much knee pain.

I love these shoes. I just purchased my 3rd pair. I have very wide feet. The extra wides fit me very well. I also have very bad knees, close to needing replacements. These shoes provide good sturdy support for the foot, as well as gentle support for the knees when walking or standing. Definitely worth the price. I wear the black ones with my slacks to work; not the most stylish or attractive, but so worth it to not have the knee and back pain at the end of the day.

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I\'ve ever worn! The\'re padded very well and look stylish-as far as waing shoes can! My podiatrist suggested I try them & I am totally satisfied!

The best I have ever worn for work. I walk about 8 miles a day on very hard surface. My feet do not hurt at the end of the day. Full size larger with arch inserts.

I have been buying these shoes for about 10 years now! They're the only ones that I can be comfortable in while I work. Since I found out that I could get them at Zappos.com...with no shipping fees...and less money...and have them shipped out to me in about 2 days....well, I'll never buy them anywhere else!!

Could not find my size in the shoes I ordered in my area. My daughter suggested I try Zappos online. As soon as I put in the information they popped right up...you had the shoes in my size and could ship them immediately. I was thrilled! It did take several days to receive them but that was OK, I was so happy to get them, they fit fine and I'm wearing them daily! I definitely will order again through Zappos!

I've been a waitress for 22 yrs. and my feet have really suffered from the pounding on all the hard and sometimes uneven floors. I've spent 2 to 3 times as much for shoes that haven't helped my feet as much as these Spiras have. The springs in the soles make all the difference. I've even purchased some hiking boots from the same company with the springs cause I've got such skinny and bony feet walking on rocks and uneven surfaces leave me almost crippled even though I love hiking. I'm really looking forward to lots more hiking now with the new boots.

Spira shoes are very comfortable!! They are very true to size and width. The minute you try on these shoes there is no breaking them in.Very soft leather, pure joy walking in Spira shoes! Best of all thank you ZAPPOS, you are the best!!!!!

I usually wear a 10 shoe, but I took advice from other reviewers and ordered a half size smaller. They fit perfectly. Love these shoes. I do notice a reduction in leg pain after a full day of walking in these. I’m overweight and flat-footed, so I need the extra support.

I haven’t been able to do high impact aerobics in my jazzercise class for over a year - until now. The cushioning combined with a "Good Feet" orthotic has made my life much more comfortable.
