Great Shoe - I work in a hospital and I am on my feet 8-10 hours a day. These shoes are terrific.

Spring Shoes are a welcome comfort!! I a new nurse who will be working 12 hour shifts. These shoes will be great for me. I have worn them traveling and found them comfortable all day long. They are a slight bit heavier than normal tennis shoes, but the support and comfort is far superior to regular shoes. I am a happy customer!!

Greatest shoes - Dear Zappos loyalty team and Tammy: I don't think you know what a wonderful thing you did for me this day. My children live in South Dakota - I live in Florida. I’ve been disabled with degenerative joint and connective tissue disease and fibromialgia for 8 years. the most important article of clothing I wear are my 'shoes'; recently my sister who is an 'lpn' found out about your shoes - so with mother's day coming up, I hinted around to my children 'I needed shoes' and sent them email of your site with the 'classic leather' white shoes 'spira' - I needed the shoes terrible because one reason I have a friend visiting me I haven't seen in over 4 years and it is difficult for me to walk without good shoes on my feet. we’ll, my kids took the 'hint' - order my shoes one may 3, 2005, and sent me a little note telling me - that they would be here in 5 - 7 days but 'free shipping' - I looked up the tracking number inquiring as to when I might expect the shoes - and your awesome loyalty department associate, Tammy, took the time to put my shoes on a faster shipping arrangement and I received them may 4 around 3pm.... I’ve never been happier in my life with a pair of shoes.... I hardly know they are on my feet except that when I walk, I can walk straighter, my degenerative joints in my ankles are supported which is less pain. And if my friend who is coming tomorrow wants to go somewhere and they don't have scooters available, I will be much more comfortable walking with my cane. It may not sound like a big thing to some people, but the fit of these shoes and the help I get balancing myself walking is incredible. Thank you again for your kindness in delivering my shoes today... ‘It was just the most perfect day I could get them' -- and the best mothers day present I’ve ever had... Comfort at last - What a blessing to have a shoe fit and be so comfortable without having to break it in. I was so very pleased with Zappos delivery. I ordered one day and the next day it was here. Wow what service it is a five star company to match the spira waling shoe.

Walking On Air - I absolutly LOVE my Spira shoes! At work I'm usually on my feet 8-12 hours a day. My doctor recommended this brand to me for my lower back knee pains. With the removable sock liner I can add my custom orthodics or thick insole without having to purchase a bigger size. Thank You Zappos!

1 yr old shoes - I've owned my Spira Classic shoes for almost a year now and they need replaced, but I wear them 5 to 6 days a week, as a School Police Officer. I'm on concrete floors all day long and had 3 foot surgeries 2 yrs ago. My feet no longer hurt thanks to the springs in my Spira shoes. Only problem that I've found with this shoe is the bottom rubber separates, but I will be ordering another pair today.

Sprira Classic...Great Shoe - This is my second pair of Spiras and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They fit my feet perfectly. I am between a medium and a narrow and can never find shoes that fit correctly. This width is ideal for me. The footbed is well padded with no skimpiness in the toe area. Best of all, they make my feet happy. I will never buy any other walking shoe.

Spira athletic shoes - Though pricey, these are wonderful, wear right out of the box shoes. I walk more than 8 miles a day. My feet are never tired. This is my 2nd pair. I won't change brands unless they change their lasts.

A GREAT SHOE - I highly reccomend this shoe for anyone who is on their feet all day at work. I have had a lot of problems with foot pain and have tried everything from orthotics to high priced clogs. These shoes have decreased the amount of discomfort in my feet tremendously. I work as a nurse and sometimes work 12 hour shifts. I highly reccomend these shoes.

Happy Knees, Happy Feet - This shoe is comfortable and looks great. I did not have to beak-in this shoe, wore it for eight hours the first day. I have osteoarthritis in both knees and need shoes that have low impact. The Spira Classic works well.I do not have knee pain when I wear these. Zappos delivery is great. Received them the next day!!!

Longevity of sole - My spira is 14 months old and the sole has one hole and the rest of the sole is very thin so I can't wear it much longer. I like the shoe a lot but I expected that this shoe, for the money, would last longer like New Balance does. Is there a guarantee on this shoe? The sales person told me it would last for years and I didn't find that to be true.

spira classic - Sturdy, very comfortable almost from the beginning. Great for long hours of walking. Strangely enough, though, not comfortable at all for standing still long periods of time - defintely a 'motion' shoe. Pricey, yes, but as long as I'm on the move, they're great!

Love the shoe but...

RECENTLY PURCHASED SPIRA CLASSIC LEATHER SHOE - Unfortunately, I didn't take enough time to try the shoes in the house. I am unable to wear them because I get a pain in the bottoms of my feet, apparently from the springs in them. When I first tried them on, they felt very comfortable, so I wore them outside once, & then discovered the pain, after wearing them for a longer period of time. I am a diabetic, & cannot risk hurting my feet. I realize this is not your fault.

I ordered the 7.5 as reviews mentioned that it runs large (I take a 7.5 to 8). These are cut so narrow in the toe that I could not get my orthotic insole into it. Have to send them back.

If only it weren't so wide... This would be a perfect shoe ... if only I didn't have to wear two pairs of socks and leave in their insoles underneath my custom orthotics in order to keep them from coming off my feet. Suggestion to Zappos: when people give reviews, ask which size and width they chose. I'm willing to bet that every review I read talking about their trueness to width was WIDE, not MEDIUM.

Very uncomfortable - I have to wonder if the insoles don't have wool in them as my feet really burn as if next to wool. It has taken me about a month to break them in and I cannot wear them 2 days in a row. I bought them for work.

I wish I could return them. I thought my feet were hurting because of my old shoes, but I developed a blister on the bottom of my heel, that is clearing now that I have gone back to my old shoes.

Well after several ordering snags, I finally got the right shoe in the right size. The thing is, once I got them I wasn't all that impressed. I have LOVED my old Spiras, but these just didn't measure. Seriously lacking arch support.

This is the worst pair of shoes that I have ever worn, by a long shot. The spring made springy noises within the first two weeks and they were horribly uncomfortable. I ended up pitching them, I was so disappointed. They definitely were not worth the money.

Beware: These shoes will eventually get holes inside them. I bought these shoes about 2-3 years ago. Due to a back injury, I was unable to walk for about 11 months. So the shoes did not get worn for those months. However, I they started to hurt my feet just under the ankle. I looked inside the shoes and both of them had worn completely through the lining material. When I took photos of the holes inside my shoes and sent them to Spira, the response was that I was not tying my shoes properly. (Mind you I am 58 years old.) They even included a chart as to why my inner shoe was developing holes. Now ask yourself, why does this company already have a list of reasons for why their product is deteriorating, and of course it is not their fault. I won't buy them again, and I'd think twice about buying them if I were you. These are expensive shoes; and my experience is that they will not hold up that long, plus the arrogance of their customer service is quite insulting.

I have an unusual size shoe for this day and age, 5W. Zappos can always get me what I want in a shoe, in my size and get it to me quickly. I am never disappointed.

I have very wide feet. These are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. There was no "break in" period needed. They felt great from the moment I put them on. Fantastic cushioned feel in soles.
