I wear these almost daily to teach in and have never been more comfortable standing on my feet all day! I used to wear danskos religiously but glad I switched over to these! Way cuter!

I'm in love!! I was looking to replace an old pair of 9West motorcycle harness boots that were falling apart. I had never spent this much on a pair of boots before & was a bit apprehensive. But I'd heard excellent things about the quality of Frye boots & loved this style. So I decided to give them a try. So glad I did!! The craftsmanship is outstanding!! You can tell they're bench crafted, & they will last for a very long time. And the quality & hardware detailing is fantastic! Right when you take them out if the box, you're met with that amazing, rich leather smell! The style is gorgeous! They are classic looking & eye catching. I wanted boots that were feminine & sexy, with a bit of a rock & roll edge/ motorcycle chic vibe. These fit the bill perfectly! & I love the length (where it hits on my calf!) I'm a 5ft 2, petite woman & think the taller harness boots (while gorgeous) would probably have overpowered me, especially being a heavier boot. These look fantastic over skinny or straight leg jeans or under bootcut (You don't need skin tight jeans to make these work. There's room! Although, they look great with those, too! These are versatile!) & even though they're a heavier boot, they look sleek, not big or clunky at all. & they have great support/ cushioning. The leather is thick & a little stiff at 1st. I was concerned about breaking them in, but I wore them at the end of the eve around the house a few times for about 15 min, & that made all the difference. I wore them out for the 1st time the other night- Amazing!! Already comfortable & I can tell with more wear, they will only get better. & the positive about breaking them in is that the leather is molding to your foot/ foot movement. As far as size goes, I'm either a 7 or 71/2 (usually a 7 if shoes run a little big). I ordered both a 7 & 61/2, seeing how reviews said they ran big. The 61/2 were a little too snug, while the 7's worked perfectly & can be worn with both thicker or thin socks. Side note- I also tried the Durango harness boots ( they looked almost identical & were much cheaper.) They went back right away!! Not only was the craftsman, style, quality & comfort not anywhere near in the same playing field, but after having them on for less than 5min, they stained my socks, legs & hands black! Ugh! But Zappos was amazing with the exchange & helping me find the perfect pair!! My point in sharing this (aside from warning you about the Durangos) is to help ease your mind about the price. You're getting what you pay for here. And considering that these will hold up so well & last so long, they won't need to be replaced as quickly as other boots. I hope this helps!
