Loved them - the perfect boot - Several reviews said these were not true to size or had fit problems. I put them on and they were perfect! I absolutely love them. The height is just right, they are awesome. Soft and comfy too, no rubbing or issues at all the first time I wore them.

Never feel fatigue! Very true to size. Feels a tiny bit narrow at first, but completely mold to your foot, stretches in the width. You can stand all day, and your feet do not get fatigued!

Aw yeah - Best freaking boots on the planet. Broken in from day one, classic beyond all belief, they'll never die and you'll never want them to. This particular Frye model runs big; I'd recommend going one size down from your sneaker size (or, I guess, half a size if you want to wear super-thick yeti socks or something, but I got a full size down and can fit a pair of medium-heavy cotton socks in there no prob). They're worth it 100%.

Great boot - Just what I wanted--a great everyday boot--quality thick leather and sole. Boots were tight across the top at first but has loosened up and are very comfortable. I am on my feet all day and love them.

Great boot - A great boot which looks good! Ordered a size up which seems to fit well with chunky socks. Can't wait to get a brown pair! Zappos service was 1st class!

Comfort above all else - I've wanted these for some time, and finally fell prey to temptation. Each pair varies, and the first pair was a bit snug on one foot; zappos sent me another pair in the same size (before even receiving the first pair back from me). The second pair was way way too big. I stuck with the first pair and hoped for the best. They've stretched to fit my foot, and both boots have begun to stretch and conform to the shape of my foot, which is great. [So, in the end, they're true to size.] The bottom line is that they are exceptionally comfortable with amazing arch support. So far they've also held up well in the rain. The only drawback is that I don't love the look of them; but I like them well enough, and they'll last forever. I also get lots of compliments on them.

Cool boots. Best boots ever. A little tight in the toe right out of the box, but they broke in quickly.

These Boots Live up to Expectations - I initially purchased them for riding motorcycles, however I find myself wearing them just because they're comfortable and have great support. There is a bit of a break in period, very similar to cowboy boots, once you're past that you'll want to wear them all the time.

Good boots - I’m not sure I can wear these boots with skirts, because I have skinny legs and the top is so wide. Isn’t it the style to wear the taller version w/skirts? I have the shorter brown pair and they are perfect to wear with wider-legged or flared jeans. I wear the boot under my jeans, rather than tucking my jeans in. the boot pokes my slimmer jeans out in the front, which I don't like (has anyone had their boots taken in at the seams?). Overall I’m happy w/them and they are comfortable. The tilted-in heel provides excellent leverage for pulling, which makes sense if you ride horses and hog-tie cattle (or any other tug-of-war type of activity). yee-haw!

great boots - These are great boots! Very comfortable, although a little big in the heel area. Should have ordered a half size smaller but a thicker pair of socks fixes the problem. Well made and perfect for riding because of the sole.

I love these boots. They felt as great the first time as the next time i put them on. They didn't need to be broken in. I read the customer reviews and took their advice in the sizing. I did order a half size smaller than I normally wear. I also have the taller boots of this version and they are also great. Zappos is a great place to buy shoes. I've been purchasing shoes fromt hem for about a year and they also supply prompt and fast shipping. It is quicker to order from Zappos than it is to drive around trying to shop for shoes. I love them!!

Love everything about these boots except for the heel slippage. I put in some Dr. Scholl's heel liners, but they still slip. Love them enough to live with it though. Have even sloshed around a little bit in the snow and they kept my feet dry!

Frye Harness 8R W - I LOVE this boot. Just received it today - only took 2 days to ship! Like others have said, they do fit large in the heel, but it really is not an issue because your foot can't slip up out of them. They also run about a half size large. More money than I would normally spend on a boot, but the quality is well worth the extra bucks. I love that they are made in the USA, and I can tell they will last a LONG time by the quality of materials and workmanship. Hope to save enough money to buy another pair in a different color. The height is PERFECT! I hope Frye makes more boots in this shorter height, as they are so easy to get on and off! Totally cool boots - and definitely my new favorites!

Really awesome boots--cool and comfy! I LOVE these boots!! I got the tan colored ones, and they are a really cool dark brown with some black highlights. They look tough, but can be dressed up as well. Best of all--they're made in the USA! I loved these so much that I splurged and ordered the taller version with the eagles stitched on. Those are gorgeous, comfy boots too! I HIGHLY recommend these shoes. No, they aren't cheap, but they are so well-made that you will have them a long time! They are a great wardrobe investment piece.

great boots - These are the perfect boots for jeans. I never had to break them in, they were comfy from day one. I have a high instep, and my feet are slightly wide, but the leather had just enough give to accomodate both issues within an hour of putting them on(without looking or feeling "stretched out"). I bought these in both colors, wear them everyday!!

Cool Frye boots - I have wanted these boots since high school. They are very cool and are comfortable. I am just sorry I waited so long. The envy of all my friends at book club.

Comfort with looks to boot - These boots are great! Not only are these boots sharp looking, but they are comfortable to! I was very surprised. These boots fit like a glove! More than what I normally spent, but given the quality worth every penny.

Harness 8R - LOVE the boots, but just can't get the fit right. Some ankle slip is normal, but these boots were made for a guy and downsized for a girl. It just doesn't work for me.

Perfect boot for many occasions - This boot has a great look. I wore it every night for 2 weeks on a recent western vacation. I wore it with jeans and skirts, and it was all I needed. I placed heel supports in the boots, because as other reviewers mentioned, it tends to rise in the heel. The supports took care of the problem and were very inexpensive.

Harness 8R W - Love the boot, but VERY disappointed in the fit. Spent all that money and they are just not comfortable.

A Classic - Wonderful classic look. Will only get more comfortable with wear. The lower height of the boot itself makes it so versatile. Highly recommend this boot.

Frye Harness 8R W - I love these boots. They're great looking, and quite comfortable. The heel does slip a little, but I don't mind that. They were a little narrow when I first put them on, but after a couple of wearings, they felt fine. I bought mine in the size I normally wear, and now that they've loosened up a bit, I think I might have been better off with a half size smaller. No biggy, I'll just wear thicker socks. These boots are so pretty and my husband loves them on me.

Oh my gosh! Very comfortable from the first time I wore them. I just hate wearing socks, so I actually wear them without socks, no problems at all. Extremely stylish, very cute with either skirts or jeans, toe is not too narrow. I have never owned western style boots before, so don't know how the heel is supposed to fit. The heel does slip on these, but the rest of the boot fits so well that it is very comfortable--although my heel moves as I walk, there is no rubbing or chafing. I have large calves that have trouble getting into boots-- although I have the 8 inch boots, I think even the 12 inch would fit over my calves comfortably. Definitely worth the money!
