Poor soles - I love the fit and look of these shoes, but was disappointed in the sole. The lugs are actually hollow, which I guess cuts down on weight, but it does shorten the life of the sole, and it also allows water to get in once the lugs are worn through, which took less than a year for me (lots of city walking). I probably won't get Keens again, unless they do something about the sole.

Boot?? Extremely comfortable, right out of the box. Doesn't really look like a boot, though. Once I got it on, I thought it looked like a cheap gym shoe. It's a shame, because it was so comfortable. I will try other Keen boots/shoes.

Wouldn't recommend this boot! I purchased the Brooklyn Mid for my husband this past Christmas '09. He loved the fit and comfort of the boot. Unfortunately, the sole is worn through after only 4 months of regular wear. I wear Keen, my children wear Keen, so I find it very disappointing that Keen could produce such a inadequate product.

Cool looking but not very long lasting - Very comfortable shoe but has already started wearing out. I DO wear them very often but a "hiking boot" sole should last more than a couple of months. If you plan to wear these often they may not be right for you.

Problem falling apart - I love my boots but after about 1 year the rubber in front on the right boot separated from the leather--I tried shoe goo but could not repair it. I am going to buy another pair--perhaps mine was just not glued right.
