Keen boots - I was able to wear this boot 12 hours the 3rd day I had them; did not want to take them off, although I wss beginning to develop a slight blister. They are now more broken in and still very comfortable. Since the uppers are waterproof, I would like to see the tongue of the boot stitched up the sides to prevent water getting in through the eyelets. The tongue is only attached at the end. Otherwise, it should be a very good winter boot and for sloppy conditions in general.

Another excellent shoe from Keen - Supremely comfortable shoe for tooling around town, these have the typical Keen fit - moderate arch support, wide toe-box, not too spongy in the heel. If you're between sizes, you might want to order up a half size.

Excellent fit. I walk many miles in my line of work and these shoes have been comfortable right from the start. I will buy another pair as soon as these wear out.

These are lightweight but sturdy enough for hiking. They are well constructed and comfortable with a good arch-supportive foot bed.

I agree with people who say it's comfortable right out of the box. And while I've only been wearing them for work for a couple of weeks, they already seem to be breaking in to a more glove like soft fit, while holding the boot shape without problem. How they'll wear in the long run has me slightly concerned as they weren't cheap, although they were cheaper than strictly high quality work boots. Wet grip on slopes isn't great where I'm climbing around on the decks of steel ships, but then again, neither are "boat" shoes so I haven't found anything that works great for that. But I didn't need steel toes, wanted waterproof for standing outside in the rain, and higher than my Keen Austin shoes. Seems like a good combination, and as they were on clearance, all the better. Style isn't something that has me giddy, but I'm about the farthest from somebody to inspire a wardrobe as you'd get, and I'm not really that concerned. I wear them with khakis and they don't look out of place at all. I'd get another pair at this point for sure. Having worn Birkis for years, most workboot type shoes have a very narrow toe box and these are a very welcome change from them, and I'll easily be able to wear them with warm, woolen socks, something I found impossible with Irish Setter boots and shoes I've had in the past without severe toe crunchage.

Above Average - This is my third pair of Keen shoes, first pair of boots. They aren't as comfortable as I thought they'd be, but I put inserts in them and that has helped a ton. I've got the brown ones and they make a good knock around boot, but because of the bulk, I can't wear them with everything. Casual occasions, with plenty of sitting are the best. Overall, I'm pleased enough that if Keen continues to come out with good looking styles, this will not be my last pair.

What's there to complain about!? These are one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I took them overseas with me for 6 months and they took everything I could throw at them! Now, I don't know about you, but if they can hold up in a place where a nicely paved street is about as common as a snow storm then they can hold up just about everywhere. They are so comfortable they feel like a toe massage. And at a price much cheaper than anything comparable. Get them before Keen realizes their mistake and raises the price! Lastly, nothing is perfect and they feel a half size larger than listed.

Keen Brooklyn Mid - Very comfortable and light boot right out of the box. The only thing I don't like about the boots is the extra rubber around the toe. It is just the style but I do like how they feel. They have a lot of arch support.

A bit squeaky - The look is different and I love that. The toe box is the biggest I've every seen and my feet love that. They squeak like you're walking a duck. I tried everything I could to stop it but dang it, they squeak loudly. Shame too, cuz I loved everything else about them.

I get lots of compliments but... I get lots of looks and compliments. If you are a toe fidgeter like me these shoes rock there is a massive amount of toe room and the width is good. On the other hand my feet seem to sweat more than usual? The toe rubber is starting to split so I might call KEEN and ask them what’s up.

Sweet Keens - Like most Keens, excellent comfort, very light and true to size. I wear a 14 to a 15.5(49) depending on the brand of shoe, so finding shoes can be difficult. Received them immediately. Service was outstanding. The only reason I didn't give the shoe a 5 overall was that top(opening) of the shoe is pretty stiff on my ankle. I am assuming though that it will get more comfortable as I break them in.

Overall a great boot! I have a friend who has been wearing Keens for some time now and raves about them, so I decided to give them a try. I was a loyal Doc Marten owner until they stoped making them in England. Since then it has been hit and miss, until now. The fit was perfect, I really liked the wider toe bed that this boot offers. True to size, and as other buyers have already stated very little break in time. I spend about 8 hours on my feet at work and there was no fatigue. They are well made and very water resistant in the snow and ice. My only gripe with this boot is that the sole needs to be a bit softer as it makes quite a sound when walking on smooth concrete. They also could have put a heavier insulation inside for colder weather, but our winter has been excessively cold since buying these so I may be overreacting a bit. Otherwise, this shoe and any other by Keen is worthy of the price. I will be buying the low cut version of this in the spring. Go with Keen's, you won't be disappointed.

Mike from Everett WA - Shoes were as expected, comfortable, water resistant, and well made. Single complaint is that they squeak a bit. Not a big deal outside but noticeable and slightly embarrassing indoors.

Keen Brooklyn Mid - Size was true to size. I work construction; this shoe is comfortable while working on ladders, not sure how they will be with digging with shovels. Work great climbing ladders. They fit like a glove the first time, which is a first. Will be buying another pair of keens from Zappos.

Keen Brooklyn Mid - Out of the box they felt just like the Bronx by Keen. The sole, footbed etc. are similiar. After wearing for short time periods, they seemed to restrict ankle movement to some degree. I also find the top of the boot or bindings dig into the lower leg a bit. This may go away with wear and use, but I'm not sure at this point whether I want to do so or return them and get another pair of the Bronx model which is definitely more comfortable and foot friendly in my case. Tough decision as the boot looks good and I like the high look especially for the winter. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying them. They are a well-made and light weight boot. If you are like me and can never find the right shoes that fit in a store, Zappos service and shipping convenience is the best way to go.

A good boot - A good hiking boot, it's comfortable to wear out of the box and stylish enough to wear around town. It doesn't breath that well however.

Great Looking but A Little Flimsy- This boot looks great, but the black leather is not as stout as the brown Brooklyn low tops that I have. The leather around the eye is not Nubuck as they are in the brown version, and the uppers are more decorative than supportive. Overall though, this is a good looking shoe. Just don't expect to do any hiking in them.

Squeak Squeak - Like a few other reviewers have said, this shoe squeaks. It's so loud, it's hard to wear them around the office. I won't buy another pair. Otherwise they are fairly comfortable.

I have three pairs of Keen sandals that I love, but for some reason they used a much less substantial sole for these boots than my sandals have. You can easily bend these boots to a 90 degree angle. If they had put the firm, supportive, and protective sole they use on most of their sandals on this boot, it would be more comfortable and something you could actually hike in or walk across a construction site with in confidence. Strange and disappointing that for this boot, they went lighter. As usual with Keen's, though, I love the fact that, unlike most shoes, they are actually shaped like the human foot. Counter-intuitive, huh?

Squeaky! I bought these a year ago, and they're extremely comfortable. However, the developed a pronounced squeak after a few months of use -- enough so that it would make me self-conscious walking up and down the hallways at work. I couldn't figure out what it was coming from, except perhaps the flexing of the sole. I really liked them otherwise, so I'm not sure whether to try another pair or not...
