Looks great, but a bit narrow - I love the edgy look of this mule. It's obviously built sturdily and will likely outlive me. My only complaint about this shoe is that although it states its size as "medium width" I find it narrower than the typical "medium width" and that does detract somewhat from the shoe's comfort.

Feels like a mule alright - I ordered a 9 and ended up returning for an 8 1/2. Length was adequate but they were narrow. The leather doesn't give like I thought it would and they hurt lots by the end of a day in them.

Compliments galore - These shoes look great. Have a nicely padded footbed. There is just one little spot rubbing on my big toe, but I'm taking care of that with "shoe stretch spray". They're heavy, but easy to get used to. I tried the boots on that look like this and thought they were way too stiff near the ankles, so this is a nice option if you like the boots and have the same problem. I wear a 6.5 or 7. The 6.5 fits fine. 7 was WAY too big, a large difference within just a half size. You'll like these once you get used to them and they are broken in a little.

Toe pincher - I bought these shoes at Zappos 3 years ago. I don't wear them a lot because they pinch my little toes. They haven't loosened up at all. They look great with jeans and I get lots of compliments on them. The leather is soft and high quality, but overall the shoe is rather stiff.

Beautiful but heal part slipped up and down. Very uncomfortable. These should have been either made with no back or a taller back for the heal. I could hardly walk.

This was the worse experience I have had in a long time. This first pair is still waiting for a shipping label. I cannot believe that they don't include a return label like many other shops. It says free shipping both ways but by the time they actually get back to Zappos I have to wait for a credit. Couldn't afford two purchases in one credit card cycle, don't know how I'm going to afford over this much in shoes in one month. If your printer is down, don't rely on the free shipping because they wanted to charge me at UPS to download the label from their computer. Shoes still too tight at the toe (much narrower than normal) and they run longer or larger than normal.

Ouch! I bought these last year and they are honestly the most uncomfortable shoes that I own. I wish I had sent them back, but I didn't realize how badly they hurt in the arch until wearing them for several hours.
