Great shoes - Absolutely wonderful shoes. This is not a style that I would normally wear, but I absolutely loved what I saw, on Zappos.com. They are awesome with jeans, and very comfortable and sturdy. I normally wear a 10 or a 9.5, and I ordered a 9.0 which fit perfectly. They were comfortable right from the box.

Frye Belted Harness Mule - These shoes are very stylish and the main bonus is that they are also extremely comfortable. The best feature about these shoes is that you get the comfort of wearing a shoe with the look of wearing a boot. Highly recommended!

Great looks as well as comfort - I love these shoes, so much so that I ordered the full size boots to wear while riding my motorcycle. Unbelievable comfort.

Loving my mules! This is my 2nd pair of the Frye's Mules. The major difference is the comfort level of the Black Greasy Mule. My 1st pair is in the Tan Crazy Horse and I must say that the Tan is much softer/more comfortable from the very beginning. The Black Greasy is a sturdier leather--which can make it tougher breaking it in. I enjoy the Black in that they go wonderfully well with my black leather jacket & jeans; however, I'm very glad I ordered a 1/2 size bigger than what I really need--so that I can wear thicker socks! The band that goes over the top of your foot is where it can actually hurt so keep that in mind when ordering. I've had my Tan pair over a year and they have seen many miles put on them--but don't show it. I believe the same will be true of these Black ones (once they are a tad more comfortable of course!). I'm just thrilled that this Holiday season I'll be so fashionable! I do wish that the lining was not so bright...I'd like folks to think I'm wearing a full boot--even though these are so much easier on & off! Enjoy!

Always in style! For the look of a boot, without the boot! These classics can be worn year round! They're so comfortable; you should own one in every color!

Great clog. The shoe runs a 1/4 size larger than a true size. It is comfortable for a clog wearer. This is not a shoe for people who are not used to slides. It's a mid-weight shoe and you can adjust the straps to hold it onto your foot if you want to jump on your horse. It also just looks great with black jeans.

Classic - If you've never owned a pair of Frye boots, you're in for a treat. The mules are no exception...typical superior Frye quality (practically indestructable), great fit & great practical shoe w/ a dash of rock & roll.

Best Shoe - I absolutely love this shoe. I have the black pair and the brown pair, which happens to be my favorite. They are so comfortable! Upon receiving them and holding them, I thought they were heavy. However, you cannot tell when wearing them. This shoe runs 1/2 size larger so I purchased a 7.5 instead of my normal size 8. I want everyone to know that I wear these everyday!

Very cool mule - Absolutely love this shoe! When I first wore them, I wasn't wearing socks and had a bit of rubbing on my pinkie toes. Second time I wore them with light weight socks and it's all good. They fit great, look awesome and are made so well that I know I'll have them for a very long time.

1 year later still my favorite shoe - I bought the tan pair 1 year ago and gave it 5 stars then. Just to offer some perspective I wear these to work with chinos every single day. I don't walk a lot, but I do walk some long distances. Aside from being a bit heavy, they are awesomely comfortable, extremely good-looking, and are wearing extremely well with the usual Frye quality construction. I get a lot of compliments but none compare to how much I love these shoes. When I get home, I usually wear them out again in the evening, and they are awesome with my jeans. The only thing I don't particularly enjoy is climbing a lot of stairs, because they are a bit heavy and because they are mules, but I still prefer them to any other shoe I own and I live on the 3rd floor so I’m clumping up and down a lot in spite of their weight! They feel more secure on my feet than any other mule I’ve tried - I usually can't stand them. The only reason I ever take them off is that they are too open in the back to wear through the winter in New England. These were very expensive for me but worth every penny.

SO fabulous!!! I'm not sure what possessed me to buy these. I looked at them for months, attracted, but they are so different than my usual more girlie shoes. I love these!! It's clear I'll have to mention them in my will because they are so well made they'll definitely outlive me! I don't know why, but they don't look clunky on -- just cool! FYI, I'm a pretty standard 10M, and I can wear these without socks but will have plenty of room to wear them WITH socks in the winter. They almost feel like they were sized to accommodate socks.

Bold look yet feminine - I was impressed when I found these boots-mules, both in the same shoes. I love their bold look, sleek at the same time, (not having to look like I am going to ride a horse). So versatile in look that could be worn with skirts, dresses, jeans. And from the very first view when opening the box: great quality, in manufacture and the look of the leather, and everything. Frye got me for future models.

Cool Boots!!! These boots fit nicely. They don't seem too heavy, relatively easy to slip on and off. They look great with jeans--you'll look cool without the "bulky" feel. Easy to slip on and off. I only wish this shoe had a slightly higher backing (near the heel) so I could walk/move a bit faster without worrying about shoe slipping off my foot.

Nice Mule! Great looking shoe that is easy on and easy off. I wore them for the first time to a reception and did a lot of standing and they were pretty comfortable. They're kind of heavy, but I think they'll last forever.

Perfect from day one - I had wanted some boots for a long time, and when I finally decided to do it, it was spring and I wasn't sure I wanted to wear full boots all summer long. These mules looked like the perfect alternative, and they are. They fit great from the start, and they look great. Now that I know I am happy with the fit and quality (which is top-notch) I will buy the full boots in the fall without hesitation. Brown, this time, I think.

Black fits MUCH better than tan in same size!! I took a chance to order these in black when they came in my size (half size smaller than my Frye 12" harness boots), as the tan crazy horse color which I love, didn't fit my foot well... IT WAS SO BIG across the instep, and I already have a wide foot... but the black ones are great... maybe there was some variation in the leather, or I don't know what, but I really like these even though they are a bit heavy... at least I don't have to work so hard to keep them on as I did with the tan color (that can be bad for a bad foot)... They are very sharp in black and will be cooler for the spring and summer than the taller harness boots... (If the tan had fit I would have kept them too)... oh, well, I still love them and Zappos is great for making it so easy to exchange/buy/return...

I love them! I have worn these mules numerous times since I received them a couple of weeks ago. They are extremely comfortable and stylish, and look surprisingly good with long skirts as well as jeans. Ordering a half-size smaller than usual worked for me. I do not find these shoes to be too heavy; I like their feeling of stability.

Great look- The shoe has a great look with pants of all kinds. Dressy and casual depending on what you are wearing. Definitely order a half size down. I wish that I had known this when I bought the regular harness boot a couple of years ago.

Perfect. I already have a pair of harness boots from shellys of London- but wanted these bc they aren't so bulky- but still have the look. I love them. The first day I got them I wore them all day walking around the city. The next day I did the same. I haven't had a single problem with them- no blisters- no ouchies anywhere. They feel like they have some kind of arch support- and the little lip at the back keeps my foot in the shoe snugly. I dint hesitate to buy these bc of Zappos awesome customer service. I knew if I wasnt into them- they could go back- and I wouldn't pay for shipping. And I like that. It makes a world of difference. Also- Size wise- I am a 9 1/2 and I got 9 1/2 in this shoe- its a perfect fit.

These shoes are larger than marked; I have to wear 2 pairs of socks with them. They are also very heavy. With that said, they look so great I just love them.

Whoa! Got my new Frye boot/mules today and boy are they cool!! I love them with jeans because, as many of the other reviewers have said, they look like boots without the tops. Therefore, they can be worn now, as the weather begins to cool. They do run half a size big, as I normally wear a 10 and the 9.5 fit like a glove. I do not feel that they are all that heavy; if you are a cowboy boot person like I am, you won't notice a thing!! Take the plunge!!
