today the temperature is around -15C, but this boots keep my feet warm when I was outside, and I only wear a very thin sock inside. I like the shoes very much.

I bought these to wear for the cold season. Last year I had a make shift pair of Sheepskin boots and I slipped so hard I fractured my left hip bone. I do not want to fall this year so I picked this boot with the rugged bottom

I have been wearing classic Uggs for years now. I actually got these boots from a friend who was moving from our cold climate to a year round warm climate. She had only used them for one winter, so did I ever score! I wore them for the first time today, and my feet were just as cozy and warm as they are barefoot in my Ugg classic. The big bonus of these is that they are waterproof! Was I ever excited to be able to have cozy warm feet in the ice and slush without fear that I was going to slip (Ugg classic soles are not meant for traction) or ruin my boots with one drop of water. I did wear a thin sock with them and it was perfect, but I'm guessing I can wear them barefoot too. Next winter I will re-Ugg them with new insoles like I do all of my Uggs. I would be just as happy with these had I spent the money, but at free/gift these were a score for sure!

I am a true size 8 and I ordered the 8 1/2, based on other reviews. I couldn't wait to try them on at my office and I'm not wearing socks. They feel big. I'll have to wait until I get home to try them on with socks. I don't typically wear socks with my other Uggs, so this sort of bothers me. I love the feel of sheepskin against my feet and would prefer to wear them without socks. I tried to order the 8, so I could compare them, but the 8 is backordered. I love the boot and will definitely keep them (or wait for size 8), once I decide on the sock/no sock issue.

These are an amazing boot! I've had mine for 3 years now needing replaced, slight tear. I wore them every day all winter long! Love them.

I usually wear an 8 in Uggs so I bought an 8.5 but even with very thin socks, it was still too small. Will be returning these.

I own about 6 pairs of Uggs in various styles. For each style, I wear a size 8. I am an 8 in other non-Ugg brand shoes. The Adirondack Boot II is the latest addition to my Ugg "collection" and the size 8 is true to size. I want to note that I wear my Uggs without socks...always have and the fit was perfect. If you plan on wearing the Adirondack II boot with thick socks I would recommend going up a half size but be warned...the heel section of the shoe may feel big. I originally purchased a half size up base on reviews...but I should have known better (I already owned 6 pairs after all). The 8.5 was too loose fitting forcing me to wear socks (or sizing down) and the heel section was strangely large. Love the boot!

Love this boot, it's cozy, stylish, waterproof and easy to slip on. I am a solid 8.5 in regular shoes and wear a 9 in running shoes (Asics, Mizuno) and tried both the 8.5 and 9 in this boot. I was concerned there wasn't enough room in the toe in the 8.5, though my toe didn't touch the end, so tried the 9. The 9 felt huge and clunky, like a snow boot, while the 8.5 feels like I'm wearing high-top sneakers. (I wear my Uggs without socks -- they insulate better that way, without the sweaty foot factor.) Keeping the 8.5's. Thanks, Zappos, for the free returns -- nice to feel confident in your choice when you are spending this much on a boot.

This is my second pair of Adirondack boots, I love them! First lasted 6 Chicago winters! I'm spending a lot of time outside with the kids and those boots are comfy and warm, perfect for a slush weather as they are waterproof ! Got a pair for my husband 3 years ago and he loves them too.

Beautiful boot. I take size 8 in other Ugg boots and this boot was true to size. Not sure why other people feel differently about sizing. Does not look clunky or too big on my feet. I'm ready for the snow and slush.

I'm nothing but happy with my Adirondack boots. I used them everyday all winter to walk to work in Northern Ontario Canada. They were warm and comfortable with a pair of nice wool socks. I'm always recommending them to my friends

I normally wear a size 6 1/2 standard width in just about every make of shoe and boot but with this boot I got talked into a size 7 because they didn't carry a smaller size. I wore those for a season and they seemed too bit and clunky, although I loved them. I broke down and ordered a size 6 1/2 from Zappos in blue (the others were in "otter" which is a brown). The size 6 1/2 was a little tight through the area below my toes but they felt more supportive and not clunky. I have read remarks that seem to indicate that the sizing is just not consistent and can vary by size, color and which way the wind blows but it has so much lush, soft, cushioned lining that after you wear them for a season they conform to your foot and all the padding gets smashed down all over. This isn't a bad thing, the 6 1/2 ended up fitting perfectly after a bit of use. And you can always buy new or more bottom liners to add to the cushioning. One important fact...I don't wear socks with these boots, I just don't need to, they seem to have built in climate control. If you want to wear heavy socks increase the size by 1/2 size. These boots aren't like typical Uggs, they are made to last a good long time with great traction in ice and snow. They won't "break down" like so many other Uggs do fairly quickly and the warranty is even longer. The first pair I have had for 2 years and wore them exclusively in the winter. They are completely waterproof (well I haven't gone swimming with them but they do get wet), easy to put on and take off (although after wearing them walking in snow for over a few hours I either have to unlace the left one or use a boot jack (or my husband) to help get it off. Your feet will love how they gently hug you into them and the lacing isn't extensive. I love them and I am glad I have 2 pair.

Got these for brutal New England winters. The classic tall Uggs were pretty, but not functional in the slush. They're great quality. I went up half a size but they were too loose. So in my opinion they're true to size. In the classic tall and short Uggs I'm an 8 but in these I got a 9. In normal sneakers and heels I am also a 9. Plus one day shipping - you're awesome Zappos.

Just ordered my second pair. My first are still in good shape after 3 winters, but the tread was wearing, and I wanted good traction. I'm telling you, these are the warmest, driest, most comfortable boot I've ever owned. They laugh at Vermont winters!! Mine are on back order, and I'm glad I ordered now (late Sept) before the weather turns. Yes, they are costly, but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a good winter boot, look no further!

I am generally a size 8.5, so after reading all the reviews saying these run small, I was set to order a size 9. 8 was the largest size they had in stock, so I took a chance and ordered an 8, and they fit perfectly! Not only that, they are so stinkin' cute. Can't wait for it to be cold enough to rock these.

I literally wore these boots to death over two winters. I live in the Northeast, am outside a lot for walking my dog, skiing, sloshing to work, and turned to these boots every day. They kept my feet warm and dry, and were super comfortable for multiple-mile long walks with my dog (although a note that I added insoles for arch support as there is minimal). I went online today to buy another pair as mine are starting to fall apart a bit. They're sill waterproof, but the plastic frame on the inside has worn through the fuzzy lining and is rubbing on my heel. I love them so much that I just covered the plastic edge with moleskin and kept wearing them the rest of the winter, but it's time for a new pair.

Love. I could have not picked a better time to buy them either. I live in Chicago, now known as Chiberia, so after this brutal winter I've never been so happy a pair of winter boots. Some people might think they look "chunky" but they honestly look good with anything. Although they are a bit pricey, worth every penny and will last me years to come!

I love these boots. I needed a pair of hunting boots and the ones I tried on were not comfortable and I didn't know if they would keep my feet warm. I bought these boots because I knew the sheepskin lining would be warm. They are wonderful, never have cold feet and they keep me dry in all snowy, wet conditions. They are comfortable, I could wear them for hours and never feel them. If you have worn boots that are not comfortable you know what that means. The other day I put on my old hiking boots because the weather is warm and dry but they were so uncomfortable, I changed into the UGGS instead. I walk the hills in them and do notice that the section around the ankle is not as supportive as other hiking boots as they will buckle a bit but I can accept that with all the other positive attributes. I have worn 2 pairs of socks and do not feel cramped but also one pair of socks and do not feel like they are too loose. The sheepskin lining cradles your foot. These boots are highly recommended if you are looking for warm, waterproof boots. I also love the fact that you can wear them rolled down showing the sheepskin or roll them higher for more support.

These are truly good boots for snow - they are warm, comfortable, and truly waterproof. The traction is good too. I wear a size 6 in regular UGG boots, but I had to switch to a 7 for this particular model. I got it in black, and plan to get another color. Now I know why these boots are sold out in a lot of the online stores - these boots are a must in the winter. Good job with this model,UGG.
