Great looking shoe - I found the shoe to run a half size too big. After a quick and easy return, I recieved the correct size and look foreward to wearing them.

Franco Sarto's Nolan - I am unhappy with the fit of this shoe. I always take a 7.5 and this shoe is too big. I have only worn it once and I feel that I have wasted my money. I do like the looks of the shoe though. It's just that's not true to size.

Comfortable Heels at Last - Even with 2 1/2 inch heels these shoes are easy to walk in. They have been comfortable since day one--no blisters or bad break in period for me. Look great with slacks, skirts, jeans.

Great craftsmanship and look built to last - These shoes do go with any bottom (skirts, pants, and jeans). Very classy. Do buy them if you want style. Stiff and snug fit on the heel, so highly recommend wearing with hose or knee highs on the first several wears even with a desk job. Once past the break-in period, I see these as becoming a solid favorite.

I agree in regards to the quality of the the shoes. Franco Sarto along with many other designers use to make a high quality shoe; however, the items being made in other places are inferior products.

Great shoe, but just not for me. The style is nice, although it looks a lot more polished in this pic. I would wear it to a casual office, but maybe not w/a suit. The fit is quite tight and my size was a bit small.

Too tight on my feet. Perhaps a bigger size will work. I have the lower heeled shoes and they work well.

This was a nice looking shoe. Unfortunately, I could not even get it on my foot. Not only did it appear too small it was also very narrow. Disappointing, as the style is perfect for slacks.

I really wanted to like these shoes. They look very professional and they make me taller. But they were horribly uncomfortable. I am accustomed to more "comfy" footwear though (Birkenstocks, Danskos) so maybe that was my problem. My search for comfortable yet professional looking shoes will continue.

very comfortable - I was pleasantly surprised that I could immediately wear these shoes without the usual break-in period associated with most leather shoes.

I ordered these is my usual size (8W) and they were so narrow I couldn't get them on my feet. Too bad; the style was just what I was looking for. I also ordered a pair of Trotters Quincy in 8W, and they fit like a glove and are so comfortable with the excellent arch support.

I totally agree with the other review that said these are no longer the shoe they used to be...I've been buying the shoes for years as my main work shoe, but the shoe doesn't last as long -- I used to go a whole year wearing them at least 4 days a week walking all over the hospital and now have to buy a new pair every 6 months. Wish Franco Sarto did not follow the rest and make a cheaper shoe to keep profits high!

The last few years, I've purchased several "sets" of this shoe, two pair each time, one black and one brown. They're my go-to shoe for long slacks and jeans. The first black and brown pairs I purchased were made in Brazil and were incredible in all ways. The second set I bought, the brown were made in Brazil, BUT the black were made further overseas. Other than the way the name Franco Sarto was imprinted on the insole, no visible difference could be noted. BUT, when I put them on, it was obvious they were different. They felt totally different. They even sounded differently when walking on tile floors. So, I looked everywhere for another black pair made in Brazil. Couldn't find any. So, I went with what I'd gotten. This year, ordered another set, two pair, both made overseas. And, they suck. Look exactly the same, but feel differently, even between the black and brown pairs. Each shoe fits just a bit differently. Answering the question about fit, I'd need to check three different boxes, if I could. Makes me sick that I can't get more made in Brazil.

Franco Sarto is not like before anymore. I used to buy Franco Sarto and I loved the quality, leather, and shape. But now, I do not like to buy this brand anymore as the quality and shape went down a lot.

While this is a really nice looking shoe, it does run considerably small. I have a regular size foot and rarely have issues with fit, but this shoe was way too narrow and I had to send it back.

too small - I love this shoe but it is too narrow and a bit short. I went by the customer remarks that rated this shoe as being the most comfortable shoe ever. I haven't experienced that. I will probably return it. That makes me sad becuase it is the perfect shoe for work.

Great high quality shoes but in a size 10 they look like boats or elf shoes, disappointed to return!
