Perfect! I purchased a Franco Sarto shoe four years ago that was either this model or one very much like it. I loved it so much that I wore it out! Franco Sarto does it right with this one. The heelcup grips my heel well enough that it doesn't ride up, a common problem with most high-heeled loafers. The toebox is just the right size - enough wiggle room without looking enormous. The instep is firm and properly prevents one's foot from sliding forward, as it should, rather than ignoring this and having one's feet slide forward until the toes jam together in the toebox. I spent the entire day walking throughout Heidelburg in these and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. There's enough give in the material that I can wear them barefooted or with black cotton exercise socks. With the latter they're a bit snug, but not uncomfortably so, and I felt the shoe was very secure on my foot. Even on cobblestones and walking up and down steep hills, this shoe was very stable. My only regret is that I didn't buy two or three, as Zappos is now out of my size! They're more suited for jeans and slacks than a skirt or dress.

A winner! These fit well and were comfortable out of the box. Became even more comfortable after wearing them around. I wear a size 11 and these fit perfectly.

These shoes feel great after a couple of times of breaking in. Zappos' service is also excellent.

Franco Sarto Nolan - Great shoe. Love it! Wish they had my size in brown!

Buzzing around in a Nolan - This shoe is so easy to walk in! Like someone else said, you don't feel like you are even in a high heel. It's not especially feminine, but everyone needs some balance to the stiletto shoe closet, and for work and casual dress this shoe fit the bill perfectly. It felt true to size and once again, Zappos shipped it in record time.

Great business/evening shoe - I was leaving for Vegas in a week; realized another pair of black pumps I'd just bought were NOT going to work (too tight in the foot due to slippage; pain from one day mostly sitting at a funeral). I bought these solely based on on-line reviews of comfort - 100% comfort in a high heel. I didn't even break them in and was fine, walking around Vegas and I rarely wear heels as I am 6'1".

Franco Sarto Nolan spectacular! I ordered these after reading several of the other reviews. I must say, I am very pleased! My job requires me to stand, walk, and run pretty much all day and after 12 hours, my feet still felt pretty good. They are very true to size as well, so if you are an 8 1/2 in other Sarto shoes, these should work out very well. They don't feel like you're in a high heel either.

great shoe - This is a great pair of shoes to dress up your pair of jeans. They're also comfy and easy to walk in : )

Mary Lou - This is the first time I have ever worn this brand shoe. Great comfortable professional stylish everyday shoe with good heel height. Leather is soft and do not need to be broke in. Staff at Zappos are very helpful, friendly and courteous. Service is great and shipping is free and fast and I like the 110% price protection that is offered. I have recommended other people to this site and they are well satisfied also.

Great Basic Shoe - This is a really nice basic shoe - I like the heel (not as chunky as some) and it's well balanced. I don't think I would wear it with a skirt, but it looks great with pants. Definately a "Thumbs Up"!

Absolute comfort!! I love this shoe! It's stylish enough to wear with suits, yet casual enough to wear with slacks. It's the most comfortable dress shoe with heal that I've found. I have a bunion on one foot that causes pain in certain shoes, but I've had no trouble with this shoe because the leather is soft and pliable.

Awesome shoes!!! I love the Nolans...stylish and COMFORTABLE!! As a teacher...always on the go, these are great to wear everywhere and everyday. So far all my Franco Sartos are great!

Comfortable ,Yet Classy - I find them to be very comfortable as well as classy. I can wear them all day and my feet never get tired. This is the 3rd pair of Franco Sarto shoes I've owned, and I plan to own many more.

I love these shoes - These shoes are high quality and comfortable enough to wear all day every day. This is my second pair of Franco Sarto shoes and they are now one of my favorite brands! Style and practicality - This shoe lives up to the Franco Sarto reputation--stylish and comfortable. I have consistently found that this brand is comfortable for a wider foot and is stands up well to frequent wear. Even with the heel I can wear this shoe for an 16 hour day without my feet hurting at all!

Great everyday shoe! This is another Franco Sarto excellent shoe! I wore them right out of the box all day and they were very comfortable. Perfect height on the heel, you don't really feel that your in heels. I have yet to find a Franco Sarto shoe that is not comfortable and always looks great.

Perfect right out of the box!!! I have not worn heels in *years* and these were perfect the minute I took them out of the box. I had read the previous reviews, so I ordered larger, and am very happy I did. I only wish the brown weren't so dark, or I would buy them also!

Review - Nolans - I love this shoe! I can wear it all day and have no discomfort and I really liked that they came in narrow. I am considering buying the same shoe in brown.

Excellent work shoe. Due to an ankle injury I was ordered off my flats, I had to get a tall work shoe fast. The Nolan was the perfect shoe because it goes from suits to jeans without looking odd. The shoe was perfect in every way, size, width, height, it's a shame that I will end up ruining them at work.

Classic shoe - Love these shoes. They're more round then the current trend, but they are a classic shoe that I'll be sure to wear for years to come.

AWESOME - I am a huge ZAPPOS fan! I love my Franco Sarto shoes. I have 14 pairs of Francos and no matter what style I know I can just order a size 8 and they all fit the same. They are wonderful!!! I look forward to the new styles and colors for spring!!!
