I liked the shoes but the toe area is not high enough. The leather presses down on my toes too much which made them very uncomfortable. And no, I don't have abnormally large toes.

I'm an 8M just shy of a wide, so I got the normal width based on all the reviews here. When the shoes came out of the box I had to laugh - whose feet are seriously THAT narrow? My feet are a good 50% wider than the shoe itself! Somehow, I managed to cram my dogs in there. Confident in the other reviews stating the leather would stretch I wore them to work one day (bringing along another pair for backup. I love you, Hush Puppies). I couldn't get through even 30 minutes of that torture. If they were wider they would have been a smooth heavenly fit. Thankfully Zappos has a great return policy. But if your feet are in the no man's land between widths... ORDER WIDER!

I bought three pairs of these shoes because I was having trouble figuring out the appropriate size. When I bought my normal size, they were way too big. I then went a half size down and they still slipped and had little puffs of air coming out from the shoe where it covered the top of my foot. So, I ordered a half size smaller than that and those were way too small. Overall, it's a nice looking shoe that is comfortable. However, I'll be returning all three pairs and my search will have to continue. But, Zappos is amazing with shipping and returns, so I'll continue to shop with them!

I originally got these in an 8.5 wide and a 9 regular and both were too small. So I ended up getting the 9 wide, which did fit. Style Review. These shoes are attractive and pretty comfortable. The leather is a good quality and the heel is an ideal height if you're looking for some lift but don't want to be tripping over your heels. Size Review: These do seem to run small, although that is obviously a matter of opinion. When measured at a shoe store, I was told I am a "B" in Width and do not need a "Wide" or "D" size; however, I have found it never hurts to opt for the Wide option. In the case of these shoes, it was 100% necessary to opt for the "Wide." Normally, I am anywhere from an 8.5 regular to a 9 wide. For this shoe, I required a 9 wide. Also Worth Noting: All three pairs of these shoes (all the same style, different size) made a farting noise when I wore them but I did wear them without socks when this happened, so that may be why! Overall - I would recommend these shoes to a friend but I would suggest you buy on the larger size.

I bought this pair of shoes for the style, but the comfort did not measure up. Even after a brake in period, they are still too uncomfortable for wearing all day long. There is nothing to stop your foot from slipping forward. But it is a great looking shoe if comfort is not important.

Though a classic style to wear with slacks, in a size 12 a boot style might be better. Quality construction though:)

They are really nice shoes for work; however, the size runs big. Need to return for a 1/2 size smaller.

Very professional, sharp looking shoe. Unfortunately not wide enough for my very wide feet. Too bad, I'll be sending them back. I bought. I bought Naturalizer Foxy and they fit much better - those I'll keep!

Eh. I bought these shoes for work and they do the job just fine - and are pretty comfortable. However, they don't look very good on me. I have very large feet and something about the shoe makes them look even bigger. I wear them, but for me, they are not flattering. Might be different for you.

Narrow toe box. Love that it has leather upper, since Franco Sarto has been cheaping out on the synthetic uppers for the past few years, but it looks comfier than it feels. Not my favorite of their shoes, but it won\'t languish at the back of my closet, either.

This is probably the best watch I have ever owned for the purpose of exercise. Very easy to operate and looks really cool as well. I like the countdown mode for doing ab workouts and speed work. Would buy again if this one ever dies!

I use to love these shoes (brown and black). I have been buying these shoes for over a decade. The last two pairs I have ordered were not the same quality as previous purchases. I wore a pair twice and the inside started breaking down. I will not be buying these shoes again. In addition, when I started ordering them they were around $75.00. The quality went down and the price went up.

My pair was damaged upon arrival, so I sent them back. They were pretty and I’m a huge FS fan. Would have looked great with slacks or stockings and a skirt.

I ordered size10w. The wide is more like a narrow-medium. Due to bunions/mild hammertoes, I need wide toe box shoes. I wouldn't consider the toe box to be square enough for bunions. Although I don't wear heels anymore, I really would like to have at least 1 basic dressy pump for whenever a "must wear" dressy shoe occasion arrive. Great sturdy heel height!

Loved the classic look. I ordered a wide width but they still are tight, unfortunately too late to return. Hope I can get them stretched out because they were exactly what I was looking for to wear with dress pants.

These are the most uncomfortable shoes that I've had in decades. I usually love Franco Sarto and I own several different styles including a pair of 4 inch heels that I could dance in all night long. These shoes fit in length but they crush the top of your toes and it gets worse as the day goes on. The leather or plastic is really stiff and these are not up to the usual quality of this brand. They are a perfect looking work shoe but I haven't had to break in a pair of shoes in so long and it is hard to believe that they will become comfortable overtime.

This shoe was a little tight in the toes and the heel wasn't high enough for my taste. I love Franco Sarto shoes but over the years they seem to make lower heeled styles. This would have been sharp with a taller heel!

Shoe was tight and the fabric was not forgiving at all. Very stiff!!

Way too narrow

I saw "black calf" upper and thought this would be soft leather. It is actually very stiff and doesn't seem to give much. The toe box wasn't very high and compressed my toenail. I tried an 8 W (my usual is 8 M). Width was fine though. The toe box needs more height.

I have had several pair of the Franco Sarto Nolan and have LOVED them. I can no longer wear them. I ordered both the medium and the wide. I had to send them both back. For some reason they are both too narrow. I am so disappointed!

I wear a 9.5 regular or a 9 wide so I ordered these in a 9w since they were available. They were way too small, and very narrow. I checked to see if they had sent the right size because I thought these couldn't possibly be wides, but they were indeed. On top of that, the way the shoe is built makes it look very long- not what you want when you wear a 9 to begin with. I sent them back.
