Cartoon? I gave these to someone as a Christmas gift. They ABSOLUTELY loved them. They fit so much better on someone with wider feet. He said although he loves the traditional chucks, he found them a little tight at first, these were NOT. They were so comfortable right at the beginning. He definitely recommends them for people who find traditional chucks a little "skinny". The only thing he found kind of "funny" and it wasn't really a dislike, was that he said they were kind of "cartoonish". Our daughter said they were kind of 'Frankensteinish'. So they are totally wider/rounder than a traditional Chuck, so just know that when purchasing these. Word!

Great shoes - I've always liked the general look of All Star Chucks, but never found them to be comfortable at all... All Star Loose Fits have solved that problem with extra toe room and pretty good arch support that the originals were lacking very much. They look a little weird at first, due to their extra wide toe, you get used to it. In fact I like that they look a bit different from the originals, while keeping the classic style.

Really wide - These shoes look a bit like clown shoes - my daughter gave them to her brother (they look cute on a young boy).

A Classic Made a Little Better - Cute and slightly more comfortable than its regular All Star counterpart. I cannot imagine buying another pair of regular All Stars ever again knowing that the "Loose Fit" exists. Generally, Converse shoes are not comfortable enough for urban feet; truly the price to pay for that classic look.

Cute Shoes - These shoes go with everything I wear, and the wider toe base doesn't detract from the look of the product. They are very comfortable, but after wearing them out for the first time, the back of the shoe (which is stiff) dug into the back of my feet (making the trek back to my car very painful). The price tag is a lot, but I could not find these shoes in stores. All in all, great shoes!

It took me a while to get used to the wide look of the toe box but they are so comfy! The only problem I had was a blister on my heel the first day I wore them, but they have been great ever since.

Not the typical Converse Shoe - The fabric of the shoe looks good. Beware if you wear the shoes without socks--the tongue moves around a lot. This shoe has a totally different feel then the traditional Converse--more cushion and more room in the toes. So far they have been difficult to break in.

Great twist on an old classic - The wide toe box makes this shoe really comfortable. The originals have too narrow a toe box for me. They also look really pointy on my feet. I wish they have more colors. Remember to get 1 size smaller...I wear 10.5, but had to get this in a 9.5. Perfect fit.

OK shoe overall - I thought they were a tad bit heavy feeling. But the canvas material is nice, as is the gray color. I like the idea of having a bit more room than the original All Star.

They look a lil' weird, don't they? I was about to forego Converse sneaks forever-- not so much for how un-original they now make me feel (urban uniform) but because they're not really that comfortable- not until you break them in for like, a year, and for me, at that point they're ripping at the seams. Too narrow! So, this wide fit seemed SO perfect-- truth be told, though, I would NOT have purchased these shoes had I seen them in person-- because they look so much wider (I think the white @ the toe should be foreshortened) and I waver between thinking they look cute and thinking they look retarded. I still went through some pain wearing them brand new (though they are roomier, and it is nice), and haven't worn them enough to be pain-free quite yet (the top of the heel cuts in). But I do think when I wear them s'more they'll look less weird and be completely cute-- I just got to get over the self-consciousness the extra width inspires (in me, and potentially you too).

Something about the tongue... I love Chucks, and these are pretty good. They feel very cushy. Their "loose fit" quality causes the tongue to move around more than regular Chucks, so be prepared to have to adjust it. The wide toe box is definitely a different feel from standard shoes of this type.

Converse All Star Loose Fix Ox - After wearing a different type of shoe for a year, my feet had apparently widened so I was thrilled to find that there are Chucks like these. I was amazed at how much better "built" these Chucks are compared to the regular ones. I'd worn the old style for at least 10 years and never had a pair last me more than 9 months because the material would pull away from the toe... then came the duct tape and yadayadayada. Anyhow, I don't think I'll have that problem with these. The canvas is REALLY heavy and the construction seems to be better. But of course, time will tell. Since these shoes have such heavy canvas, the break-in time is a lot longer. I used to be able to break-in my old Chucks in under a week and that was with minimal walking. I walked all over S. Korea and Japan in these things for 2 weeks and that didn't even put a dent in them.

Comfy - These shoes are comfy, but definitely not your classic Chucks! They are a lot wider and kind of make your feet look huge! But I do like that they are comfy. If you have wide feet they are a blessing.

Pretty good - Much better than the original Converse All Stars. They are a lot wider which in my opinion looks a lot better. One thing I did not like is that the canvas was very tough and itchy but overall a good shoe

Wide feet love these shoes - Always loved Cons, but my wide feet could never fit comfortably. Hooray for Loose Fit! Be warned; they look almost cartoon like out of the box....Chuck Taylor's short, stubby cousin. But they're immediately comfortable, and plenty of room for my support insoles. Nice canvas material, too. Sturdier than original cons.

Big foot- These are great shoes. Much like the Classic All Stars. These are different in that they have a big boxy toe. This gives the dogs some breathing room but also give the shoes a slightly exaggerated look. As if you were a character on Fat Albert. I think they are cool and they have become my new favorite everyday shoe!!

Sweet kicks- I love this shoe. Maybe not the most comfortable I have ever worn, but as far as looks go they rock. I have received numerous compliments already. The wider, more rounded toe is what caught my eye; compared to the slim Converse's which do nothing for my feet. Overall, great purchase, well worth the money.

Check my Chucks - These are a cool twist to the original Converse All Stars. The toe is wider so you have more room and a slightly different style of shoe. Make sure you check out the multi-view of the shoe before you buy it so you know what they look like, you can't tell the difference from the single picture!

New school meets old school- I love these shoes. I bought a second pair right after I got the first. The footbed is 100% improved from the old Chucks and the wide toe makes this a really comfortable shoe for people with wide (or even normal) feet. I had to buy them 1/2 size bigger than my other Converse shoes.

Look wide - My son loves Chucks but when he got these they looked very wide. They are the same size as his other Chucks but when you hold them side by side you can easily see how much wider they are. Chucks are still one of his favorite shoes so he kept them anyway. I was a bit disappointed that the size did not stay consistent with the shoe.

A great everyday shoe... Casual, fun to wear on a daily basis and goes with almost everything.

Converse loose fit review- The new Converse Loose Fit attracted me because they looked a little wider than the conventional Chuck Taylor's. After receiving them, they proved to be just that in look and in actual room inside of the shoe. Using the "loose fit" idea on shoes is a brilliant marketing tool. I would consider buying another pair if you had a full selection of colors. So far it seems you only have two colors available.

Finally, wide Converse (almost) I have wiiiiiide feet so I usually buy Converse a half size larger. These are only wide in the toe, but it definitely helps. Plus, they actually have some arch support! Regular Converse do not. These are much more comfortable in every way AND they still look cool. (Or cooler)

Nice new style from Converse - The new Loose Fit from Converse is much wider in the toe box than traditional fit Converse. It gives the shoe a cute new shape and makes it look more modern. As with the old style, the shoe rubs a bit uncomfortably where the laces start at the bottom. The arch support is much better in this new style than the old. Overall I like this new fit much better!

Not quite what they appear to be. I like the look of the Converse Loose Fit Ox, but they unfortunately weren't a good fit for me. They were definitely bigger than my size and I couldn't wear them for extended periods because my feet started to hurt.
