First of all, these shoes really are super cute! I got the red, blue and grey ones and I get tons of compliments. But, they are not very supportive, I put gel insoles in mine and that helped a lot. I would not recommend these for people with wide feet, they are super narrow! It took me a while to break them in, but now they are fine.

Very smooth ride! I have wide feet- C/D width- and a high arch and usually have to get a full size lager in most sneakers as I did with the Tiger. Some sneakers will then rub my heel but the Tiger fits well and snugly. My only gripe with these (being over 50) is that it could use some more padding in the sole for those several mile walks.

The other reviews gave me the impression that the Asics Gantrai would have more support than the Onitsuka Ultimate 81's. But when I put these puppies (baby dogs) on, they didn't feel too good. I figured I'd have to break them in, but breaking them in involves your foot changing to make up for the lack of support. I played a concert where I was standing for a solid three hours and by the end my feet and lower back were killing me. I didn't wear the shoes again until I bought some insoles for them, and now they fit fine. Very good for walking and I actually ran in them a bit.

Surprisingly excellent- I bought these shoes because they are fully synthetic without any leather trim, which is rare. Unlike most shoes in the retro track shoe category (Puma, etc), these have relatively stiff soles, which is actually a bit refreshing and makes them more stable and substantial. I was a little worried about the red/white/blue color scheme, but they are subdued and surprisingly attractive. I'm not a big fan of the cleats rising to the nose of the shoe, but that's a very minor detail and overall I love the comfort and styling of these shoes. I half expected to return them, but wear them all the time. Highly recommended!

A "No Brainer" Shoe- It's hard to go wrong with a simpl,e stylish shoe such as this. It feels good. It looks good. I'm good with it.

Fun shoe - Love the old school look - and no one out there has an old school Asics selection like Zappos. I can't find these shoes anywhere in this color. not as comfy as an Asics running shoe - but perfect for walking.

Killer looks -- just don't try to run - These shoes look fantastic. The outsole is very rugged and sturdy, with cool retro patterning. There is virtually no padding in the sole, so these are strictly walking shoes.

Quite Awesome - My girlfriend picked these out for me, and I'm glad I let her do it! I love these shoes, they fit very well, despite me having a wide foot, breathe nicely (much better than I was expecting), and keep my feet cool. They are comfortable, but may feel awkward at first. I am used to wearing running shoes which are by far the most comfortable shoes in the world, so it took some time to adjust to these. But overall, I am completely happy with my purchase!

Rock Out - These shoes rock and are super stylish. Get a pair now. Excellent tread.

Gantrais rule - Very good shoe as far as looks go, they are awesome. Nothing special as far as comfort goes, pretty middle of the road.

Love them! Great shoe with some serious traction. Heel is a bit high and can rub against the back of my ankle so socks are a mush. Very comfy

Looks without support - The Tigers are cool-looking, but support is lacking. I still gave it 4 stars because they have a slipper like feeling to them. But be careful, the picture can be misleading...they don't have any more cushioning than you average flip flop.

Love the shoe - The blue fabric seems to get dirty often, but it's easy to clean and get off, very comfortable shoes. Three people in my office have them and we all enjoy them.

Great Shoe! I bought the brown on brown Tigers not too long ago and I promptly fell in love with them. The first day I wore them they were alittle tight around the ankle but have broken in nicely. They are a great shoe overall and go everywhere from work to the hiking trails.

Great lookin shoe! I received my Tiger's the next day and loved the look. They fit great, but dont breathe as much as my other sneaks. Still love em!

Great looking fashion trainer!! This is a great looking shoe! Very fashionable and very comfortable. I walk alot but still wanted a fashionable trainer that would look great with jeans! This is the shoe! I bought them in the light brown/brown and have received a great # of compliments about them. Zappos shipped them fast and per usual I was more than satisfied with their service!! Found these in an review article featured in Outside Magazine. They feel great on short (3 mi.) and long (8+ mi.) runs, however they're not for those who seek alot of support to compensate for weak or fallen arches.

Great casual shoe! These shoes fit and look great. I have received numerous compliments already. They are not an athletic shoe, though, so don't have any expectations about running or working out in these, they do not have enough arch support for those kind of activities. Walking around town they are great for, though.

Great shoe! I bought a pair in Smoke Red/Ivory and man I've gotten more comments on these shoes than any I've ever owned. For a typical size 13, the shoe is a little long, but the width fits me perfectly so I didn't want to mess with a good thing. I wouldn't recommend these if you have wide feet though. I have narrow (AA-AAA) feet and they fit perfectly.

Cute and comfy shoe! This is my first pair of “fashion” athletic shoes. I have received several compliments on the appearance and am enjoying the fact that they are quite comfortable as well. The only drawback is that the top back of the ankle area is stiff and requires a short breaking-in period.

Really cool looking shoe, but lacking in comfort - I bought the brown/light brown Gantrais and they look great. They're not too comfortable though. I had buy some insoles to put in them. Other than that they are nice shoes.

Good Shoes! I got the smoke red/ivory pair and I have been very happy with them. As soon as I put them on, I knew that they would be very comfortable. The colors were exactly as shown on the site. Zappos service was great, too!

Red Onitsuka Tigers - Very comfortable and stylish shoe. I would even consider purchasing them in other colors.

Nice lookin, but not too comfy - Good looking shoe! I don’t think that I would wear them outdoors such as I hike or climb though. Make sure you order about a size and a half smaller than usual though. I first ordered a 10 and ended up with an 8 1/2 and it’s still a bit large.

Comfortable but not durable - I wore these shoes almost every day for six weeks on a trip to Tanzania. They were very comfortable for walking long distances over various terrains. However, by the end of the trip the lining on the inside of both shoes started to disintegrate near the ankles. It appears they are not really designed for heavy use.
