Once upon a time I bought a pair of these (at an Army PX, of all places) and wore them until they disintegrated, which took about five years. I searched the world over for a new pair, but to no avail. So, I wallowed in self-pity and despair, an empty shell of a man, until one day I discovered Zappos.com and found they carried my much-loved Simple OS. They are still every bit as comfy and good-looking as I remember, and Zappo's had them at my house within two days of my order. And they lived happily ever after. The Simple O.S. 2050 is the best sneaker you could ever grace your feet with. They are lightweight, highly comfortable without any break-in time, and extremely durable. They have a sole unlike any other I've seen. It is super-sticky and will not slip on ice, wet tile, etc., and the tread will outlive your dog. Outstanding shoes. Buy them once, you'll never want to stick your toes in anything else.

Neat-o Sneakers - I bought these sneakers for my teenage daughter and she loves them. Her foot, thanks to extremely dominant genes for, is very wide and the shoes work out great for her. Always a fan of Simple shoes I am not surprised, but nonetheless quite delighted! Very groovy shoes for boys and girls!

Old Faithful - These are the fourth pair of Simples I've bought for my husband. He literally wears them until they fall apart. No break-in required, they're comfy from the get go. Not too mention very cool looking. Thanks Zappos! Thanks Simple!

God's one true sneaker - I wear these sneakers almost every day and I love them. The fit is perfect (I wear size 13), the stitching is solid, they look great. I had a pair that I wore constantly for 2 years until they were nearly destroyed. I plan to do the same with this pair (and then order another pair!)

Old School Simples - I'm a long time fan of Simple Old Schools. I recently moved to LA and was extremely disheartened to find that no stores here seem to carry them. In San Francisco, where I moved from, they were popular and widely available. Anyhow, I was thrilled to find that Zappos had them in a variety of colors and sizes. The shoe itself is great -- sturdy, stylish and super comfortable. Thanks Zappos!

Ahhh...My Simples, welcome home: I wore simples for years and then could not find them for the last several years. What a pleasure to find these comfortable, attractive, "simple" shoe again...and they are cheap...and arrived the very next day! They are kind of RETRO cool !!

The perfect shoe. I am picky. Seven years ago I bought a pair of Airwalks because they looked simpler than any Nike pump-inflated heel-bubbled doo-dad endowed monster. I wore those sneakers for seven years, and wore them thin, because I could not find a suitable replacement. Then Simple came into my life. (forgive me the melodrama, but I married this shoe - I bought 10 pair). It's suede on canvas - so light and comfortable! No interior lining to pill up and soak in sweat! And the design is perfect. It is simple and honest; subjectively, better than thousands of other sneakers I have seen. The O.S. Sneaker by Simple (stands for Old School) is their flagship product and inspired countless knock-offs. Do you feet a favor and own the original. I do. I have ten pairs colored Sand. I hope to be wearing these when I'm eighty.

I recently purchased my second pair of Simple's OS Sneaker 2050. I bought my first pair four years ago and have worn them regularly since. Even though they don't look as good as my brand new pair, they still feel, well, as good as a well worn pair of sneakers, and I haven't been able to bring myself to part with them. Comfortable and classically casual, these are the perfect shoe for any everyday dress down occasion.

Simples are the only shoe to wear! Great fit, style, and comfort. Old School is Old School.

The best shoes ever - I had a pair of Simple shoes about ten years ago. They were by far the best shoes I had ever owned at that time. They out last all the other brands and were so comfortable I kept wearing them until they literally fell off my feet. There was a long period where I had trouble finding them, but I heard they were making shoes again, so I looked them up on the internet and got the first couple pairs I could find. Let me tell you they are as comfortable as I remember them. I'll never stop wearing Simples.

Finally found them - I had been looking for a pair of these shoes since I was in High School. I had a pair then and really liked them, but someone stole them from me, and I could not find them in any local stores. Thanks

I hate the look of most athletic shoes... ...but these look nice! :)

This is the one and only - These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have owned them for the past 15 years and I will buy them for another 50 if I can. The longer you wear them, the better they fit. They look great and they feel great. What more can you ask for?

The one true shoe - This is the second pair of Simple sneakers that I buy. These shoes last forever; the previous pair lasted for over three years. Best shoes I have ever owned.

Simple Old School Sneak = super fantastic - To be honest I don't even know how many pairs of these I've owned as I've been sportin' them since the mid 90's. I currently have three pairs of this sneaker and three or four other types of Simple shoes. They put out the best shoes I've worn which is why I continue to go back. Try em, you like em!

Great shoe! I bought my first pair five years ago and they lasted me as my everyday shoe for over 3 years. When it was finally time for a new pair I couldn't think of any better shoe. I am now on my second year with these and they haven't felt better. These are so comfortable to me, I wouldn't want to run in them, but I can walk for hours without being sore. I wish I could find simple shoes in more stores, they are really a quality shoe.

Much loved shoes - This is the second pair of O.S. shoes I've owned and I'm very happy with them. The first pair lasted a long time (2 1/2 yrs) considering the price paid and the abuse I gave them.

Great shoes - Good feel, true to size. Love the style. Zappos is the fastest online company I've bought from as far as shipping...and you can't beat their prices!

The best shoes!!! I have worn Simple shoes for about 7 years now. These are the only shoes that I am completely comfortable in. No other shoe feels or looks this good.

Simple O.S. Sneaker - Shoe is great. Used to wear these years ago and forgot about them. The shoe is still quality through and through. If you want a causal shoe that you can dress up, then buy the "Old School"!

Great sneaker - I recently purchased a pair of Simple Old School Sneakers from Zappos.com. This is actually the fourth pair of these I have purchased over the years, so needless to say, I really like this shoe. Classic, retro style with great comfort. Perfect for walking, hanging out, or doing whatever you do in your favorite casual sneaks. Probably the most comfortable sneaker I've found. The sizing is consistent with other sneaker brands I have (Puma, Nike). Try a pair of these if you are in search of the perfect everyday (and all day) sneaker. Zappo's online ordering is quick and simple, and my shoes arrived 36 hours after I ordered. Zappo's means business, people.

Awesome Sneakers - Two friends turned me on to Simple's OS Sneakers last year. Since getting the chance to wear them, I'm hooked. They're comfortable and easy to wear with anything to anywhere. Highly recommend these to anyone.

An Old Skool Favorite - This is 'simply' a great shoe. I had a pair six years ago that I wore out so much that the backs of them completely tore off, and they became slip-ons. I have been looking for a pair of these that fit my size 14 foot for some time, and Zappos actually had them in larger sizes than that. It is a great knock around shoe, and you can even get away with wearing them with khakis if that is in your wardrobe. I definitely recommend picking up a pair of these.

Great shoes - The shoes are great. Like others mentioned, I didn't have to break them in at all. I really like them. I do usually wear a 9, and ordered a 9 when I got them. I had to send them back to get 9.5's.
