These are like the original from 40 years ago. They are still well-made and hold up well if you take care of them. Best if you don't slip on and off - but tie and untie, to avoid stretching the shape out. Best is you don't bend them when crouching down - this ruins the smooth top - but does not damage the shoe otherwise. The leather lining is what makes them so special - always a pleasure to wear - an experience in walking. The trademark sole is extremely sure footed and great all around. Nail on #6A plastic heel plates at the 4 to 5 o'clock position on heel for extended life - I replace these about once a month - do it from the get-go and they will remain level between foot and ground. To avoid odor problems, use inexpensive foot powder in shoe as needed. Use shoe trees to maintain shape - these shoes are comfortable at the expense of rigidity. They are made of natural materials at the expense of synthetic practicality. Timberland needs to investigate why the inner sole feels a bit lumpy under the leather lining - this never occurred in the past. Style 30003020.

The burgundy color was my favorite and I wore it as a winter shoe here in NC. I bought my first pair in Maine during a vacation in the late 1980s. Young people used to ask me where I got them and often said Dr. T. wears "Tims". I guess that meant I was cool. I think they feel better the more they are broken-in. When my first pair finally gave out, the soles came off, I figured Timberland didn't make them any more. I bought my second pair when I saw them in a store display, the burgundy color again. The only thing I don't like about them are the leather shoe laces because they are stiff for a long while. There is good support and cushioning around the heel, which is good since I have a narrow foot.

Excellent well made shoe w/quality leather and other materials. I actually owned a pair of these 25 years ago. Well made. I think they take a little breaking in as all leather boots generally do.
I would like to compliment the service as well as the product. Timberland provided me excellent customer service!

I've worn this same style of shoe to work for the last twenty years. A pair usually lasts five years - a LONG time considering how many walking miles I put on them - and then I buy a new pair. Timberland's service, reliability and care quality are second to none.

I am really into shoes and these are quickly becoming my favorite for both style and comfort. The shoes look great with slacks or jeans, for daytime or evening. Timberland quality is built into the construction of this rugged shoe, yet the first time I put them on, it was like putting on slippers. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a versatile, great pair of shoes!

I've worn this shoe for over 20-years as my go-to casual with jeans. I had my last pair re-soled twice before I began to look for a new pair. The vibram lug sole and sturdy leather construction make it the perfect shoe for the gun club and almost any outdoor activity. Works well on "casual Friday", as well. A little shoe polish and a brush . . . these shoes will actually improve in appearance as they age. Good shoes. I hope Timberland keeps making them for me.

Since I got my first pair back in 2008 I just recently bought my fourth in the burgundy colour.
The other three pairs of 3-lug classics I already own are in dark-brown, marigold, and black.
These shoes are so stylish and comfortable I tend to wear them every day to the office or for casual occasions. They go well with just any type of trousers, chinos, jeans, cargo pants, etc. And they are very durable and keep their shape over the years despite being worn regularly.
Definitely a superb product; keep it coming Timberland.

I bought a pair of these back in the 1980s & wore them for 15 years until they finally wore out. I wanted to replace them at that time but the quality just wasn't the same. Although these are not made in the USA anymore, the quality seems to be back to the old USA-made quality. After so many years, I'm very happy to have my shoes back!
