Boots do what they're supposed to do a little bit heavy. Would do better if had more comfortable inserts for added support

I used to get 6 months of wear from these boots. The last few pair have gotten about 3 months each which is very disappointing. I need to get over my brand loyalty and find a better boot.

The style is amazing for this boot. While walking around it feels amazing and every step feels powerful. The problem lies in the material choice. When I ordered by boots, they had chips in the toe area. There is also a lot of wear in the item, and I've only had them for 3 weeks. I work in a wet environment, they haven't proven to be waterproof at all. I've owned 3 other pro series, and they all have worked great. Usually after a year, I get them cleaned up and decommission the boot. Buy a new boot series and so on. I'm very dissapointed in this pro series for work use. Daily use, the boot works amazing. It feels like I walk on clouds, and I never get tired. I am a 10 wide, and that is what I ordered. The boots came true to size, but was like an extra wide boot. There was too much flex in this boot, all previous boots were spot on and still are after years of use.

Very good quality's boot, however I bought hem as a gift for my father. He needed them for work, and although they are his size, he needs to size up because of the steel toe. The associates who helped me, did not tell me this. So I'm a little disappointed.

These boots don't last I work in 15 below 0 environment all year long I work in a big Freezer and the problem I see with these shoes is that the sole cracks easy just after 4 months they cracked so I called customer support and they replaced them free of charge I wore that pair for 5 months before I noticed a crack so finally I kept wearing them cracked and all for a year the suede lasts but the problem is the cheap sole and the sticking behind the heel is tearing off at the collar behind the heel time to buy another pair but I am still holding to these til I break in my new pair so I've been with my cracked sole pair for 2 years now going on 3 this year

I am a Landscape Contractor and loyal customer. I have been wearing Timberland PRO boots for the last 30+ years. They are extremely comfortable wear, right out of the box. I would rather wear my timberlands than anything else. I only have (1) complaint. Unfortunately I have noticed a change in the quality of the outer sole. My last (3) pairs have come apart, or separated from the upper part of the sole. I do not mind spending the money for a quality boot, you tend to get what you pay for. I am very disappointed in the poor quality of the soles and my need to look for a new brand of boot. I hope they change how the soles are made.

I mainly use the boots when I ride my motorcycle, keeping my toes dry, warm and protected. However as the steel head is a bit to short, the shifter ends up grinding on the part where the steel head ends causing the leather to wear out fast and resulting in a hole on top of the boot at the edge of the steel head.

While this is the golden standard for work boots, I believe they can use a little work. I will break it down for easy reading, starting with the pros THE PROS: The insulation is warm but won't do much good if you get the steel toe. anyone that works outside knows this. The quadruple stitching on the lower half of the boot ensures durability. The waterproof membrane is also nice to have. THE CONS: Number one and probably the biggest gripe I have with this boot is the cushioning. There is barely any. The hard rubber sole paired with the little cushioning in the insole makes for a pretty uncomfortable foot at the end of the day. I have a pair of the Timberland Boondocks and those are like walking on clouds by comparison of these. Timberland, find a way to incorporate that dual density technology into these boots! And speaking of the rubber sole, if you work outside in the winter, these soles freeze up and you basically end of walking on concrete soles, again making your feet very uncomfortable. Second, the ball of the footbed to the toe of the boot is curved up. Why? Other than the fact that it looks good, why do you do it? It just makes my toes stressed and strained from pointing up all day. I much prefer them to be a little flatter and closer to the ground. These boots can feel a little heavy at times, especially if you get these with the steel toe. I would go with the lightweight composite toe if I could but this is what my work hands out OVERALL: This is a nice boot but I feel there are probably better ones out there for the money. I don't like paying for a name and this is mostly what this boot is about

This was my second pair of Timberland boots. Though I did receive them as a gift, I had picked them out myself beforehand. My first pair of boots seemed to wear out abnormally quickly, but I decided to give Timberland the benefit of the doubt and get another, more heavy-duty pair. I'll start off by saying how impressed I was with the initial quality of these boots, when I first put them on they were very comfortable and fit very well. However, within 6 months I started to notice excessive wear and tear. Keep in mind that I don't work in any particularly nasty environments. Besides wearing these boots with my everyday clothes, I also wore them while doing yard-work, wrenching on cars, and during a couple roofing jobs. I wasn't using them for work every single day, only a couple times a week. Yet within 6 months the heels had worn down significantly, and the insoles had holes in them. They were obviously still wearable so I purchased another pair of insoles and continued to wear them for another 6 months. Its been a year now and I'm still wearing these boots, I have them on right now. However, the heels have worn completely flat with no tread left, and the sole is starting to separate from the upper. It't gotten to the point where my feet actually ache from wearing these. In my opinion, if you take care of your boots and only use them for work occasionally then they should last at least a couple years as opposed to roughly 9 months. I believe that Timberland work boots are devolving into more of a fashion statement than anything else, and that quality is suffering as a result. To be fair, I've seen a-lot of people with this same pair of boots, and they still look brand new. However, these people walk around with their boots unlaced and with folded tongues, and will admit they they don't use them for work. My bottom line is, if a boot is advertised for work, it should hold up to work. Though these are nice looking and comfortable shoes, they just don't cut it as work boots. If you are considering these for looks, than go for them, if you need genuinely durable work boots, then I'd look elsewhere.

Im a girlfriend of a local 290 carpenter that works in any type of weather. We had a bunch of snow this year and my boyfriend was wirking on a commercial roof were they put down street salt so they would not fall. This front of his boot curles up and was not able to wear them again however, I called timberland and explained what has happened. I got a new pair of boots and because I had to wait 4 days instead of 2 I received $100 gift card. We also bought red wings and they fell apart. I still recommand these boots very highly and the cs was great. If you work half as hard as my boyfriend these boots will b fine!

Maybe my pair was a dudd, but I have mixed feelings. They are very comfortable and fit well. I wear a 13 wide and they fit absoultly fine. Ive had my pair a year and I use them for things like working inside in an engineering lab, to keep my feet dry in wet and cold weather, and sometimes just for comfort. They do not last though. The steel in one of mine has come loose and moves around, one of the outside waterproof seals is blown open, and the area around/behind the toe is durable. I would like to try them agian, But for any physical work I would be hesitent.

I should have heeded the warnings of others ordering the wide size boot. It can't be any wider in the toe area than a standard steel toe boot. I was shocked how pinched my toes were due to the steel toe. I have slightly wide feet, but with just ordinary socks, these were the tightest I've ever worn.

I tried these on and returned them. They are far too narrow in the toe, even though I got the widest size. Another style of Timberlands of the same width and size did not pinch my toes like these did, even though they were also safety toe. Can't say too much more about these, since I didn't wear them long enough.

These boots run pretty small (uncomfortably so, if your feet swell,) and after I really messed up my feet with my other pair of Timberlands, I chose to wear these every day, thinking they would keep them safe as they healed. I do a lot of heavy lifting, working outdoors, hiking, etc. The only time these shoes have worked for me is when I'm standing perfectly still-- otherwise they really are just too small! I suppose that's my fault for not returning them in time, but the final straw was when I went hiking today and I stepped on a rock-- if you're wearing steel toe boots, that shouldn't be a problem, right? Wrong. I swear I thought I broke my foot-- I love to hike, I've gone hiking for ten hours with no blisters, no pain, nothing. Today I went hiking for two hours and at the end of it my feet hurt so bad, I had new blisters (along with the horrible ones caused by my other Timberlands,) and I was so slow I was at the back of the pack. I really wanted to make a good impression on the people I was with, but I was just so humiliated and in pain. The worst part is, before these two incidents, I swore by Timberlands-- I always recommended them to new hikers and people who wanted to replace their work boots, I wore my last pair to death, but I've been forced to buy boots from a different company because I can't keep hurting myself waiting for these boots to magically become worth all the money I spent on them. Very dissapointed.

I bought these in a men's size 7.5 wide because I couldn't get these in wide for women's and those shoes squashed my toes together. I have a bad ingrown toenail because of those shoes. Fair warning if you have wide feet and looking for steel toe boots be careful buy the right size.

Bought this item excited. They look really good but were extremely uncomfortable, cramped, and ran a full size small. I wear an 11W, I ordered an 11.5W just to be safe, but easily would need a 12W or 12.5W. Toes hurt and steel toes do not give enough room.

Boots seem fine, but when I initially reached out to timberland customer service because after about 4 weeks of wear the boots still didn't break in enough to feel comfortable. I have wide feet, and there's no wide option. So none of their women steel toe boots are even possible for me. But customer service pretty much said I was out of luck. If customer service was better I would've gave it better ratings. But I still don't see how there's no wide fit options.
