I ordered the same size that I wear in every other pair of Birkenstocks that I own. Upon removing and standing on the footbed, I saw that the size was perfect, however, the clog flopped around on my foot, and, when I walked, the tips of my toes hit a ridge at the end. I am on my feet for over 12 hours a day at work and am required to walk quickly, and occasionally run to help a patient. Floppy shoes just will not work for me.

I did not think these shoes had enough support to be work shoes. I thought they ran wide and my feet are wide! I returned them and bought the traditional backless Birkenstocks instead.

These shoes are Unisex sizing. I ordered a women's 9.5, and the shoes are marked Womens 9.5, Mens 7. There are really wide, and the instep is really big. I wear Birkenstocks all the time, so the length fit fine, but I have very narrow feet and a small instep, so I can almost never wear mens shoes, which are sized much bigger overall. These shoes were completely clownish on me.

I don't know why Birks can be either fabulous or not so good. The sizing seems inconsistent. In order to get the proper length, I found this shoe to be too wide. One size was too short and the next size up was too wide. Overall stiff with an uncomfortable fit. I have other Birks that are wonderful, but not these. I will only buy the styles with some width control (straps) to improve fit, from now on.

Im on my feet all day working in a hospital. These are the second pair I tried. They were giant and I ordered a size down. They just were not comfortable for me! I need more support I guess

Usually wear a 8 in running shoes. These fellas here are pretty big even if being used just for yard shoes with socks.

They did not feel comfortable at all, hard and stiff, not worth the money.

I always wear size 41 in Birkenstocks. Tried 41 in this shoe and way too big; then size 40 and still too big. Doubt if 39 will fit. Oh well.

The clogs were much wider and bigger than expected. I did get a larger size because I would be wearing them all day, but they were way too big and wide for my feet. I feel even the next size down would still be too wide.

They were easily a size too big and being slip on shoes, this didn’t work out very well. I step and the shoe slipped off my foot.

Love Birkenstocks but this shoe wasn’t what I expected. They are EXTREMELY wide shoes overall. I ordered my usual size and certain parts of this shoe were completely off. The length of the sole were accurate but other parts like toes, arch area, heel area all were so wide that if I lifted my foot the shoe dangles off. Maybe the width was meant to accommodate possible swelling from being on your feet but it’s overkill. Returning and waiting for my Calzuro order.

Way too big! Ordered a women’s size 9/40 and they were flying off my feet. My husband tried them on, he wears a men’s size 9 and they were even too big for him. I’m guessing that maybe the size was mislabeled?? I checked everywhere the size was listed on the shoe and box, and it said Ladies size 9, men’s size 7. So they were about 2 sizes too big. I really don’t know how to rate them, because I don’t know how a pair that fits feels. Sending them back.

These shoes confused me! They were like clown shoes. I have the Mayari in 39 that fit well but maybe a little roomy. I fit in shoes that are 7.5-8.5 normally, so I went with the 39. My foot was swimming! Then I ordered the next size down in 38. The length was better but the width and height of the shoe was still comically big. The 38 insert also shifted and wiggled in the shoe when I walked in them that just felt off.

I have tried many shoes for working in a busy hospital. I'm on my feet for 12 hours or more on my shifts. These shoes are heavier than most I've tried but still doable. The arch support is not what I expected from Birkenstock. I feel it's not the best support. My left foot is my widest foot and the one to cause me many problems finding shoes to fit since it was broken several years ago. The left shoe fits perfectly and the right shoe is much tighter, even though both shoes are marked the same size. I will be wearing these at work because they are expensive but very disappointed in them. I like the slip on style and they don't look as bad as some I've tried, but I would not purchase these again. I had a chance to try on professional Crocs at a store after I purchased these and I agree with another reviewer. I would purchase the professional Crocs over the Birkenstocks. They are soft and comfy and better arch support. I'm disappointed in my Birks.

Really wished these would have worked out. A surgeon I work with has worn them for years. His current pair he has had for six years. I ordered size 40 and 39. I typically wore 40s in the past but found these to be rather large especially width wise. I felt like i was swimming in them when i walked. When walking my feet for slide all the way to the front of the shoes (both 39s and 40s) and my toes would get squished. I wear prescription compression stockings everyday so i am not sure if they make the shoes more slippery for me on the inside but typically i have not had a problem with that when i wear danskos, el naturalistas, or asics.

As much as I wanted to love these, they didn’t work out for me. I got my usual size in Birkenstocks, which seemed fine, however, I don’t know if it’s because of the way this shoe is built, but my feet kept sliding forward while walking. At the end of an 8 hour shift, my toes were pretty sore.

These were HUGE! Could not be worn in a hospital environment that requires your heel to be covered.

A chef for over 30 years, I bought these for work. Cork-soled Birkenstocks are great off the job. So when I read the manufacturer's description for intended use, that these were "certified and comfortable" and "industry standard" for professional kitchens, and especially after reading many reviews here, I ordered them. The molded plastic has virtually no cushioning. These are not comfortable. I have the exact same size in a cork-soled shoe, but in these my middle toes bump the inside of the shoe at every step, resulting in soreness. The soles of my feet are buzzing even a day later from the impact (I work on a tiled floor) due to the lack of cushioning. I am keeping them because I already wore them one day andI believe they would be good for short term use gardening. But now I must again search for a shoe good enough to wear to work.

I've never had a problem with Birkenstocks before but these were instruments of torture. After three months I'm giving up on them. My arches scream whenever I wear them. Must be a bad combo with my feet.

I thought I had found the perfect shoes to help my painful feet after long days of standing. Unfortunately, these shoes did not fit correctly. My toes fit against the front of the shoe, but the shoes were way to wide, and kept slipping off my feet when I walked. I would imagine that many of these reviews recommending the shoes were written by either men or women with wider feet than myself. Unfortunately, I'll have to try something else.

While the shoes were much larger around my foot than expected (I ordered my usual Birkenstock size, yet my feet were swimming in these shoes), my concern and reason for returning these shoes is that the foot bed did not offer the usual Birkenstock support for my arches or under my toes.

Don't believe what you read in all the reviews, everyone is different. I purchased these being a chef working 12+ hour days. They claim they are non slip....I've been ice skating in my kitchen the last two weeks. I've worn these for two weeks. My feet still kill me every night after work and I almost fell a ton of times. I was wearing Skechers clogs before this and they were much more comfortable and were actually non slip.

Really disappointed as I needed a pair to keep in the office, and these make a flip-flop like noise sound everywhere I walked (and my office has carpeted floors!)

I normally wear a 41. In this shoe, my foot was swimming in it, so I exchanged it for a 40. In the 40, my toes felt fine, but the arch support felt like it was closer to the ball of the foot than it should be, and my heal popped out every time I walked. I feel that going down to a 39 would have been too small in the toe. I returned and purchased a different style.
