These boots rock! I tried both the 8 and the 8 1/2, because I have a wide foot and often have to go up a half size on Medium width boots, especially with winter bulky socks, but these were great in the 8, so great that I ordered another pair!

Couldn't be happier - I received these boots two weeks before the bad weather hit the east coast and the timing couldn't have been better. It took a little while to break them in (hence the 4 star comfort rating), but now they feel like putting on bedroom slippers. There is a half size difference with my feet but the fit is great on both! I'll be wearing these all winter/early spring. Zappos is a pleasure to work with too!

Winter in Paris - I bought these boots for a cold-wet trip to Paris. They were very comfortable and dry for the long strolls each day.

These boots rock. I will buy at least one more pair- I bought these because I needed a boot that I could wear to work on the long commute. I'm a broker, so I have to put on a suit every day, and I loathe wearing my cap toes to and from the office (oh, the pain!). These double gore boots are SO COMFORTABLE, and I've even been able to get away with wearing them in the office. They look great with jeans, slacks and even in a suit (if you keep them shiny). My running shoes felt less comfortable after a day in these babies!

Killed two birds with one stone - I was looking for a double gore boot to wear with casual attire and I was also looking for a work boot. I found the Timberland double gore to be stylish as well as sturdily built. The best thing of all is, because the boots are so well made, I can use my yearly $125.00 work boot allowance to pay for them!

Timberland Boots - Boots are of good quality leather and are very comfortable. They have good ankle support, and are a good walking boot.

Kickin' boots - A great pair of boots, can be worn casually with jeans and dressed up to slacks and a button-down. Beautiful leather and classic styling that will still look modern in a few years. Had some problems with blisters on my heels the first few times worn, but I am very glad that I was patient.

Great boot for the winter. This boot is one of the finest products that I have ever owned. It will mold to your foot after just a few hours. Absolutely waterproof, great fit and solid construction. As a salesperson I am on my feet all day and often in the snow and cold, this is a great boot!

Great Boots - These are great boots. They're comfortable and have so far kept my feet dry. I don't like tie shoes and these boots are great.

The boot is higher than some of the others I have worn and the support is a real plus. I had an accident some years ago and my foot is hard to fit, but these were comfortable immediately.

Cool boots - A great looking boot, clean lines, nice leather. The fit is also very comfortable for the "average" foot. Though my foot, being a bit wider, I "do" wish Timberland would offer these in a W. For me, I just used some shoe stretchers (available for under $10 at Target), and my wide feet were stylin'. You won't be dissapointed, even if the price is kinda high. The goretex thing is a big bonus. I would have bought these for the look and comfort alone.

I first saw these boots on the show "Californication" - great show by the way - and I was curious what they were. Luckily, a fashion/tv reporter did an article on the fashion of the show a few weeks later. I wasn't disappointed. These boots look great, comfortable, and go with almost anything! Seriously. You will get comments from people the first time you wear them. They are unique without being pretentious and go great with jeans or casual slacks. They are a bit heavy when you wear them the first time, but that is easily adjusted to after a few times. Overall, excellent - I will buy again. Timberland: Don't do anything rash like discontinue them!!!

Great boot - A great looking, all-around boot. Comfortable enough to wear all day and sharp enough to wear out at night. Order 1/2 size smaller and you should be all set.

Good boots! For wide feet this boot is really comfortable (ordered the wide size). Looks good under pant legs. Roughed up leather is put-offy at first but really starts to look better with wearing.

New "go to" boot - I've owned Blundstones for years, but lately the fit doesn't work for me. These are more spacious across the instep and therefore more comfortable. They also have a leather pull-on loop in the back which is easier to grab than the fabric doohickey on the Blundstones. Cooler all around look - jeans, khakis, etc.

Nice boot - Nice looking boot; pretty comfortable, but a little warm for year-round wear. I ordered 1/2 size lower (based on other reviews) and fit is good. Shipping was super-fast thanks to a next day upgrade.

Runs a bit big compared to other brands - I really like the comfort of this shoe. But the size 8 I order in medium width had way too much room and felt like they might actually rub a lot if walking fast. I normally wear an 8 medium in J & M, Keen, and Stonefly FWIW. While I found the comfort great, I did not like the look enough for use with much other than jeans. The non-gloss black is a more casual look in person than I thought it would be. No worries though with Zappos, I actually found a lace up Timberland to try instead. Yes also very casual but I know that going into it and that style will work for my intent, hopefully that fit will be a bit better.

Warm and cushy stylin' boots - Very comfortable boots with more support than I've experienced with Blundstones are Doc Martens, but a little too warm for the later spring weeks. I see these kicks working well with jeans or casual work clothes come early fall and winter. I needed dressier black boots and these fit the bill. The price is right!

Good boot - Great slip on boot and looks great. I have high arches and narrow feet so had to add a new insole (as I do w/all my boots). As always w/Timberland had to order 1/2 size smaller than normal.

Great Boots! After considering other slip on boots such as those made by Blundstone I decided on the Timbeland Torrance Gore Suede and have been very pleased with the style and comfort. I would agree with others, the sizing is a bit larger than what I usually find in a 10.5. Based on other reviews I first ordered a size 10 but found them a bit too snug so exchanged them for the 10.5 which while being a little loose fit the best and have been very comfortable. I live in the "Great White North" and have found them to be very comfortable winter foot wear with good traction in ice and snow as well as being waterproof. I also agree with other comments expressed about the material used around the outside perimiter of the heel. It seems to be simply glued on and does not wear very well and has started to peels off. I would recommend this boot and will probably purchase another pair. They are great "**** kickers" as well as being stylish enough for street and casual work wear.

Heel of shoe to hard - not enough shock absorption - The inner sole requires more padding around the heel to absorb the hard, rubber heel associated with these shoes.
