While I love the casual yet dressy look, they run on the small side and can irritate my son's feet. I buy a size up for the spring/summer when he doesn't want socks. In the winter, I have to put thin socks on him.

Ordered these in a 13.5 for my daughter. (I ordered a pair of Nikes in the same size at the same time, and they fit perfectly). The Vans were so small she couldn't squeeze her foot into them. Sent them back and ordered a full size larger. Now they're too big. Sending them back again, but now the kid doesn't want them anymore. It's too bad -- they look nice and I was hoping to get her slip-ons for summer camp. Anyway, I would recommend ordering a half size up.

I thought my 5 year old would love these, and having bought a previous pair some time back I thought the size would be fine. I always remember the last pair being kind of too wide but these ones seemed too narrow for his feet. He isn't a huge fan of wearing them and has a harder time getting them on. They do look adorable and I like the slip on for him.

Order up a size! This are difficult for my 6 year old to get on when new! I hope they will stretch a bit. He loves them, but they literally were a size too small when I ordered what he wears normally.

I was looking for a canvas type shoe with easy slip on feature. This is it. Love the look, comfort and ease and will wear them a lot I know. Great for airport wear too.

Loves shoes - My son absolutely loves his shoes. His only disappointment is that the rubber is coming unglued from the canvas due to the bending motion of his foot. I think this is common in a shoe with the rubber sole that comes up high onto the shoe itself. Otherwise, he absolutely loves them! Thanks to other reviews, we knew to order his shoes one-half size smaller than normal. They were a perfect fit.

Nice shoe - My daughter had trouble getting this shoe on over her foot. I'm not sure why -- I got her to try again after a couple of hours and she had no problem. The vamp is long and the hole is not very giving, so they don't actually slip right on. But I think this was mostly her, not the shoe. I feel like the fit is actually good; maybe her foot was puffy? Anyway, once she got them on, she likes them very much! They do seem to run long though.

Vans Checkered slip-on - Very trendy. All the middle schoolers are wearing these. They are hard to put on at first but loosen up after a couple of times.

They truly are classic - As a Southern California native, I've always loved Vans slip-ons. They don't last forever or have much for arch support, but they are easy to slip on when you want to run out the door. Love the warp chex patterns - glad to see them back.

Vans - We love Vans!! They do not last a long time but they are perfect for a growing foot.

Not enough cushioning, good walking shoe, not a good skating shoe.

Ordered a half size up based on the reviews but it was still too small

These are really cute but run very small. My daughter usually wears a size 3 shoe but she couldn’t even get that size on in these shoes. I returned and didn’t exchange, but I’d recommend to order up a size or two.

The design is wonderful, my son picked these out & was so excited to get them, however even ordering a size up, we would not even get them onto his feet. They are narrow and too small. He wears size 11 and we ordered size 12. They run extremely small (or at least this pair did?) so keep that in mind when ordering.
