For old-timey canvas sneakers, these things have better-than-average arch support, thanks to PF's Foundation Posture (or whatever) insole. The fit is a bit snug, but no more so than its Chuck Taylor or Ked's cousins. A bought my normal size and my foot plus a thickish SmartWool sock fits inside just fine. Look-wise, these things have got just a bit more oomph than your run-of-the-mill all blacks. The sole is also on the stiff side, which suits me fine when I jump on my bike! Only thing I can't comment on is how long they last. The grommets on the upper feel sturdier than on Chucks, though, and the beefy laces are a plus.

Guaranteed to make any kid run faster and jump higher. Great for pickling the Beast. Very happy with the shoes!

It's a good looking shoe and pretty comfortable as well. The back of the shoe is a little shallow, so I found that my heel would slip up and down as I walked unless I tied them quite tightly. The laced area can then pinch a little sometimes, but overall, it's not a deal breaker, and I much prefer the shape and styling of this shoe to a Converse.

I like these better than Chucks because they don't slip on wet or slippery surfaces like Converse do. I also appreciate the little bit more arch support PF Flyers offer.

I have wanted a pair of these since watching The Sandlot many years ago. They are a nice alternative to the commonly available Chuck Taylor, and come in many more color, material and height combination. I plan to purchase a few more pairs to round out my collection.

Cute and comfortable shoe. Slightly heavy on the foot, but for moderate wear, it's fine.

Great sneaks, true fit and very durable. Originally produced by BF Goodrich and now by New Balance. Not much in the way of arch support (even though PF stands for Posture Foundation) so you may want insoles or orthotics.

I bought these shoes because I wanted canvas sneakers (I'm allergic to potassium chromate used in dying leather) that have good support. I love the retro styling, and they're very comfortable. The only reason I didn't give these shoes 5 stars is that the green lining bleeds into my socks, making them green.

Mostly I just love these shoes for the retro styling. They seem just a little narrow in the forefoot, so they're not a shoe I would wear all day everyday but they are fun for occasional wear.

Very comfy soles/support, and the color matches anything. Only thing I'd change is they rub a bit on the outside of my toes if I wear w/o socks. Not sure if they come in wide, but that would've been better.

These shoes are great. They feel true to size and are comfortable casual shoes. They are exactly what I was looking for. They aren't a cushy sneaker though. If you're looking for something with a lot of support and cushion, this isn't the right shoe for you. I think of them like flip flops for winter.

I had these sneakers when I was a kid; I don't remember them being so hard to break in. I ordered a half size larger because of the reviews I read; It was not necessary. I think they are sized correctly, because I ordered another pair in my regular size and they fit better. But, again, they do take a while to break in.

I used to wear these shoes as a kid and had no idea they were still being made. So I was thrilled to find them and have received numerous compliments about them. That said, they are not the most comfortable shoes in the world, flat and somewhat board-like, just like Chuck Taylors. Sure, the styling can't be beat, but be prepared for the gumming around the the white banding to pucker and separate a bit, but not completely, from the canvas. I do still love them, though, but much more so for the sentimental value of wearing what I wore as a kid, and the awesome retro styling, than for the comfort. I found them true to size, though many here say to order a 1/2 size up.

Wow, it's deja vu all over again. I now own the same sneakers I had to have at the age of 8 that would help me to "Run Faster, Jump Higher". Haven't tested the old tag line with the new Center Lo Re-Issues, but they do look cute with either jeans or a skirt. Comfortable and have decent support to boot.

PF Flyers - The sneakers look and feel great. I received immediate complements from others on the looks although one person thought they were Converse sneakers. I did buy 1/2 size larger based on other reviews and I'm glad I did. The sneakers fit slightly long, but I do not feel I would have fit in my regular size. Overall good buy although a little overpriced.

Makes me feel like a kid - They look great. They are much more true to size than the other brand of canvas sneakers I looked at. There not the most supportive shoe I ever tried on, but there way fun.

A little break-in goes a long way - I love the look of these, but the break in time caused a nasty blister. While they are long enough for my feet, they were narrower than I hoped and it took a while to get them comfortable. But we're there now.

Classic style gets noticed - Much more comfortable than All-Stars, these PF's always get noticed. Guys you know what I am talking about...guys always look down to see what kicks yr throwing, and these stand out immediately. I went to 10.5's (usually a 10) as suggested my many because my foot is a bit wide. I made a good choice.

NICE! They arrived 19 hours after I placed the order... TOO cool. They are exactly what I wanted and what I was looking for. When I first put them on, I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with the fit. They seemed a little narrow with not so much arch support. After wearing them for a couple of hours, they were fine... not like my Keen's, but decent. Now, the only thing that I don't like is that because they have these ridges that run down from top to bottom, those tend to wear from your standard walking motion on the front and back. Good overall kicking around shoe.

PF Flyers - I really love the shoe, I ordered it in red but it's closer to burgundy and would like to exchange them. Of all the canvas shoes I have this PF Flyer has got to be the most comfortable.

Retro-cool - Just like the ones I wore when I was 6. You can definitely "run faster and jump higher." All the details are maintained to the original. Way cool!

Not perfect, but better than others - I teeter on 6 and 6.5 and 6.5 was definitely better for this shoe (I find usually better to go up for canvas shoes, Cnverse etc). The lauded support is non existent. I've been wearing the all blacks for work where I walk a lot and after 3 weeks, they have started to squeak a little and rub a bit at the back. Hopefully they'll break in a little more. Tends to happen with low ankle socks only. Wow, this review sounds like a dirge... they look great!

Love these. I love how these shoes look. I wouldn't wear them for a marathon, but to kick around in, these are great shoes. I can't wear Converse because they squish my toes. I ordered 1/2 size bigger on these PF Flyers and they are perfect. No toe squishing.

A Bit Stiff - I'm a size 7, but I had to exchange it for a 7.5. The 7.5 fits well, but I can't really tie the sneaker like I would any other sneaker. The fabric and sole is a bit stiff. I had to tie the laces a little loose. If you don't, the fabric tries to fold into the top of your foot, which it can't do because of something called bone. Other than that, the red is a nice, bright red!
