I love my PF Flyers. This is my second pair. They are comfortable, but not for walking in all day long because it slips in the heel a little bit, but I have narrower feet. They are adorable with rolled-up jeans or shorts. I love the retro style.

Great shoes. Much more support and comfort than Chucks. Be sure to size down.

Very comfortable shoe. Much more than Chuck's. However, they squeak terribly. Don't know if it's just me, but it hasn't stopped yet. Four stars because of the squeak.

I just got these today. I wore them outside already to break them in, so there's no turning back now! Here's my feedback so far: I ordered a Women's 8.5, Men's 7, and I usually wear an 8.5 or 9, depending on the brand. I have really skinny feet with almost non-existent arches, and I need a wide toebox. Strange, maybe, but this has made it hard for me to wear Converse All-Stars or Chuck Taylors before. I love how much padding there is, for a non-athletic shoe. I had some issues when I first put them on, with the saddle (the area across the top of the shoe where the laces hit). It was tight enough but I wish that the tongue of the shoe was either padded or longer. Maybe I'm crazy but that's what I was hoping for. While walking, the shoe seemed to start to fit my foot a little better. By the time I got home, I wasn't even thinking about my feet. That means these are winners! I was just looking for something easy to put on for running out to get groceries or walking my dog. These are great for that! I'm not sure if I will ever wear them to work -- we'll see how these shoes feel after a day of shopping or something before I do that. So far, I like them, and I would recommend them. And Zappos is my favorite!

I'm a return PF Flyer buyer and love that they have more support than Chuck Taylors. These run true to size, perhaps a bit big. And I love the red detailing. I highly recommend. (I give these four stars because to me five stars means "perfect," and that's incredibly rare.)

Well, about what I expected. Just a good every day knock-about. Sole and heel cushioning is not great, a throw back to earlier times. I definitely prefer my Nikes if walking on rougher surfaces. Arch support is minimal even with the supplied insert. After reading other reviews about toe room I ordered both my regular size 12 and a 13. Kept the 13's, returned the 12's because of that toe factor! Construction appears quality, even if imported. In spite of shortcomings, yes, I would recommend and would probably buy it again, particularly considering Zappos generous buy-it, try-it policy.

Not surprisingly, these were really comfortable right out of the box. Cute too. The only mini issue I have is that they are cut a little low at the heel. Something to get used to, however, not bothersome enough to make me return them. A good buy for sneakers.

I love the look of these shoes. I have average width feet, but these tend to rub my baby toes on each foot, so in the future, I might try a wider size. They have a tiny bit of arch support which I like. No blisters with these shoes! I like the darker color, but these were on sale and are still adorable. You can also take out the insoles and put in your own really easily. My old PF Flyers lasted about seven years and I wore them pretty often. I am pretty hard on my shoes, so I take that as a well made pair of shoes. My husband did not like them due to not enough arch support though. He did think they were quite stylish.

As I expected, the style is exceptional, and a classic look that harkens back to yesteryear. Unfortunately, the simple canvas uppers did give me some heel blisters, which I'm hoping is just a symptom of the breaking-in period. I look forward to wearing these as a nice addition to my wardrobe!

These shoes are really cute, really well priced and, ultimately, pretty comfortable - altho' I inserted my own orthaheel inserts as I need a lot of arch support. Probably if you have nice young feet, they will be comfy right out of the box, but I have (yuck!) bunions and arch issues, so they took a few wears to get comfy - and I still have to wear them with little socks. All that being said, they ARE really cute and I love them!

Comfortable and nice looking shoe. Looks better than Converse on someone with longer feet like me. Converse just has a longer look because of a 'skinnier' shoe and I think more eyelets. However, as someone else mentioned, the insoles are really not good. They're thick, but very low quality. I replaced mine with good ones and now I am comfortable!

These are way more comfortable than Vans or Converse. But I suggest you size down half a size because your feet may flop around a bit. But other than they are one of the best shoes I have ever bought.

The shoe seems to have a very nice construction and a classic look, yet they were at least an entire size too large.

Really happy with the shoes. They look great. I returned the first pair because they were a little larger than I expected. But other than that, they are great.

Comfort wise, these have better arch support and are wider than the Converse. However, after a couple of wearings I realized I simply did not like the all black (I thought I would) and at 8 1/2 the shoe is way too big. These are personal errors in judgment and not a problem with the shoe itself.

Disclaimer: my feet are flat, wide, and have bunions so I am pickier than average. My boyfriend swears by PFs so I decided to try them out. They're super comfy to stand around in, but I don't think I'll be a repeat customer since I feel like they don't hold on to my foot well when I walk. The sole feels stiff (even after a few months) and I guess the shape isn't good for me, so they change my gait a bit. Your mileage may vary. Basically I just wear them when I know I won't be walking too much and want some easy/good-looking slip-ons.

They are really cute and I like the vintage look - the size was just right but they run a little narrow though. I have wide feet and felt because they are mens shoes they would fit wider and its not the case - they felt like a womens width.

I thought the shoe was a little wider than I expected, but that was good for me. I had hesitated to purchase because I needed a wide shoe, so it was perfect for me. I found it difficult to adjust to a shoe which was so flat, but I'm okay with it and will buy another pair. Had a hard time finding the proper inserts for it to fit my foot, but it's very comfortable now.

I love these shoes, wear them almost every day. I also own the Hi tops and those are awesome as well. Stiff at first but, give them a week and they will feel great.

These shoes are very comfortable, but my heel keeps slipping out of them. I will return them for the high-rise.

For old-timey canvas sneakers, these things have better-than-average arch support, thanks to PF's Foundation Posture (or whatever) insole. The fit is a bit snug, but no more so than its Chuck Taylor or Ked's cousins. A bought my normal size and my foot plus a thickish SmartWool sock fits inside just fine. Look-wise, these things have got just a bit more oomph than your run-of-the-mill all blacks. The sole is also on the stiff side, which suits me fine when I jump on my bike! Only thing I can't comment on is how long they last. The grommets on the upper feel sturdier than on Chucks, though, and the beefy laces are a plus.

It's a good looking shoe and pretty comfortable as well. The back of the shoe is a little shallow, so I found that my heel would slip up and down as I walked unless I tied them quite tightly. The laced area can then pinch a little sometimes, but overall, it's not a deal breaker, and I much prefer the shape and styling of this shoe to a Converse.

I like these better than Chucks because they don't slip on wet or slippery surfaces like Converse do. I also appreciate the little bit more arch support PF Flyers offer.

I have wanted a pair of these since watching The Sandlot many years ago. They are a nice alternative to the commonly available Chuck Taylor, and come in many more color, material and height combination. I plan to purchase a few more pairs to round out my collection.
