I was worried that the boots would not fit properly, they fit good and feels like no break in is needed. "Great boots." I would recommend this to anyone. Zappos great service and speed in the delivery, especially getting it out here in Guam so fast!

These boots - and Zappos' customer service - rock! I own a pair of H+H harness boots in black that I love. I discovered these while looking for a brown pair and liked the look. After reding the reviews here and on other sites I decided to give these a shot. I also took the advice of many of the reviews that I read and ordered a 1/2 size smaller than I normally get. I went through a lot of trial and error with my existing boots and ended up in an 11 1/2 EEE. For these I ordered 11 EEE. They arrived 2 days later and sadly were too tight. I followed the return instructions on the website and 2 days later I had a pair in 11 1/2 EEE which fit perfectly. I'd suggest that if you wear a wide width you consider ordering your normal size. These boots are really comfortable and appear to be well constructed; I consider them to be a good value for the price. It's impossible to write an accurate review on a new pair of boots, but these appear to live up to their ratings and I am looking forward to getting many years of enjoyment out of them.

The boots are very nice looking and good quality; however, the insoles could use some more work. Very comfortable after I provided my own insoles.

Bought these for my husband for Christmas. He loved them. Had to exchange them for a smaller size, as the style is wide to begin with. As usual, Zappos handled my return promptly, without fuss, and without S&H charges! We are both satisfied customers!

Got these for my husband for Christmas. He says they are "awesome!" Wore them straight out of the box for a week long vacation to see my parents and they were comfortable the entire time. Look great with jeans, obviously high quality. Highly recommend.

These are very nice boots. Exactly as advertised and very comfortable. Good construction. BUT THEY ARE MADE IN CHINA. Durango website mentions Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic factories. Nothing about China.

I've been shopping for a new every-other day pair of boots, and the Durango DB594's won. Shockingly comfortable right away without need for the need for any breaking in period. While the front/top view may seem a bit boring compared to western boots with stitching, the profile is striking and makes a serious statement with the harness. The only two caveats with these boots are: A) They're unnecessarily tall for anything other than riding. You will definitely need over-the-calf boot socks with these or they will annoy the heck out of you around the calf. B) The color is described as "Distressed Brown" on Durango's site ("Gaucho" on Zappos). They are anything but distressed. The color is extremely uniform over the entire boot, with no signs of anything one would consider "distressed". It does seem like over time they will scuff up and look like a worn in pair of boots though - I guess that is the breaking in period for these.

I rate this a 4 star basically because I wear a 4E because of high arches and these only come in a 2E. The comfort level is ok, but I haven't worn too many boots that were as comfortable as a shoe. The on the foot is ok, would have given 4 stars if my size was available. The fit has a little more slip on the heel than i would like to have, but this is probably because I had to order a size larger to make up for the smaller width. Lastly the extension on the leg is a bit snug for me, a little tight getting the foot in. The style is a 5 star. The length on this boot also is a half size larger than what you order.

However, few areas where these boots have really suffered in terms of quality. Within a few months the little heel cushion piece of leather inside the boot comes loose and off. Both mine were off and sliding around the inside of my boot in a couple months. And the riveted leather harness strap gets really stretched out and floppy. Neither of these conditions used to be the case when I bought these years ago. Newer versions just lesser quality. Now own Frye harness boots which are much better quality - but then again, twice the price.

Haven't worn them anywhere yet so I can't speak on the comfort of the boot but I'm definitely disappointed in the color. They're just plain brown when the pictures advertised a brighter more reddish brown. I know you can't really choose with hides & leathers but I guess I was just hoping that the pictures were a more truthful depiction of the actual product.
