Good thing these have pull tabs, bc ya gonna need them! That said, they are fairly comfortable out of the box, and look great w/ jeans.

I have now ordered 6 pairs of boots for my brother's Christmas present. He normally wears a 9. We started with a 9D and 9EE. Too big. Then 8.5D and 8.5EE. Too big. Now I've ordered them in size 8. We'll see. We both love the boots, but had to size down 1 full size. Surely, one of the 8's will be the magic bullet.

These boots are great! The only thing missing is the arch support. buying inserts will take care of that issue. Initially, these boots were a little snug to get into but after putting them on a few times the boot leg portion stretches out just enough to make putting them on (and taking off, a lot smoother. They look great too. I get compliments on them all the time. I primarily bought them for riding my motorcycle but I find myself wearing them for casual dress as well. I applied mink oil to make them water resistant as well. That will darken them significanly but they still look great. I'm sure that they will lighten up again (some) as the oil is absorbed.

Last week I purchased a pair of Frye 12R’s that were on sale and I was ecstatic. I had ordered these as a backup believing that I’d be returning the Frye’s(for one reason or another). Well, I made the mistake of trying these on instead of just slapping the return label on and taking them up to UPS. I honestly can’t tell a difference between the fit, quality or craftsmanship from the pair of Frye’s. I now have 2 great pair of boots!!! These are an outstanding value and if your serious about a quality pair of Harness boots for a great price then look no further.

I've been looking at these and Frye boots for a while. The reviews pushed me towards these. Seems FRYE no longer makes the Tan (Banana Leather) Campus boots for Men which I love. I wore those exclusively back in the day. I always thought they looked cool with Jeans. These are my first pair with the squared off toe in the front. That may have something to do with the boots feeling a bit big. I took some Dr.Scholl's Gel inserts and that seemed to do the trick. Honestly, I don't think I could have gone down a half size, They'd be too tight. The Shaft seems incredibly small to me. These do fit the way boots should, with your heels coming up off the sole slightly when you walk. I like them, and I'm sure they'll be great once they break in.

Love the boots. They are true to size however they do run very narrow. I sent my original order back that were "D" width and Zappos sent out an "EE" width and they fit perfectly. I did install a Dr. Scholls gel insert and they are now the most comfortable boots I own. Zappos sent the new boots overnight even before I sent the exchange pair back. Awesome customer service.
