After 18 months, the strap padding seam is ripped. It is not even a "load bearing" is ripped. I have some LL Bean backpacks used lot harder than this and are still in great shape. Manufacturing by cheap labor in 3rd world countries is not a recipe for quality and durability. Yet we pay 1st world prices for it.

I used this backpack for work and take it on day hikes, it's better than I would've guessed lots of pockets and organization while still being comfortable

This backpack is great. There is one big issue though.
The straps are insanely squeaky, and make using this backpack almost unbearable on a daily basis. Not sure how to fix this issue.

im in medical school and travelling from rotation to rotation in hospitals across the nation, and this backpack fits everything i need, from stethoscope up to work out clothes so i can go to the gym in the evening

This is the second Borealis backpack I have purchased from Northface. I have had my other one for almost 4 years now and it's nowhere close to being ready to retire. I just wanted one in another color.

I've had this backpack for so long that the exact design I have isn't even made anymore. I bought this backpack when I was going into 5th grade and I will be graduating college in two months. This backpack has truly gotten me through everything, I'm honestly sad to part with it. I even burned it by accident once and that thing is still kicking. I really would recommend it to everyone a hundred times over. I will never buy a different brand of backpack

I am in love with my new backpack. I rarely make big purchases, but this is 100% worth it. I use it for school, traveling, hiking and camping. My favorite thing about this bag is the laptop compartment and the small fluffed pocket in the front. I know this bag and I will be together for years and have a ton of adventures ahead of us.

Would like to see new color options.
Love the organized compartments, sturdy water bottle pockets (although difficult to access when you're wearing the pack), heavy duty material without weighing down the bag. Super quality. Great for airplane travel under the seat.

Love the durability, pocket organization, great storage capacity and without getting too heavy. Like the new non-mesh water bottle pockets-so hopefully they will hold up to everyday use. Wish it could be easier to access when wearing the pack so you didn't have to take the pack off to slide a water bottle in/out. Would like to see new color options. Otherwise love this pack!!
