We are thrilled with this backpack! My daughter is in first grade and she picked this particular one for the vibrant colors and it is true to the photo - nice and bright and very durable. Not to mention it was instant gratification; at our door step within 24 hours, thanks to the fabulous service of Zappos, as usual!

I had this backpack before but I lost it, and I decided to buy a new one. It is durable and perfect size to fit my books and laptop.

Item is what is described, but it actually looks just a little bit lighter. It's kind of a small backpack, but for me, works great! Also, straps are not that comfy.

Great bag and perfect color. Use it for day trips, travel and a "purse" when going to football games or other sports activities. Also, the color helps my husband find me in a crowd! Well made, medium sized, holds small purse, jacket, camera, book and a snack, with room left over.

Backpack is just the right size. My daughter loves the style and comfort. I would buy this exact one again!

Zappos is one of the easiest and user friendly sites I have ordered from. The product was exactly what I was looking for, the shipping free and even though we are in a very rural area, it arrived seemingly overnight. I will definitely go to Zappos when looking for whatever I need to order online.

I am very pleased with my Jansport backpack. I love the colors and design on it. It is also very durable and holds all four of my textbooks, my notebooks, and my lunch for the day. I would absolutely recommend it!

As promised the other day I am back to review the particular backpack that I ordered. I ordered my daughter this backpack knowing it could withstand all the things that she put it through and knowing that she will get tired of it-due to the pattern-before it gets tired of her. Right now she is in the second grade and this backpack is perfect for kids who don't have to bring 3-4 text books, 1-2 binders, and pens/pencils to and from school everyday. I would say it would be good for kids who are 7th grade or younger. My daughter has been using a messenger bag and I cringe every time I see her getting that bag over her shoulder and having to carry her lunch box because it will not fit in that bag. The straps are nicely padded and will not dig into your child's shoulder, the pattern I ordered-Black/White Day Dreamin-is very cute and whimsical, and I love knowing I will not have buy her another backpack until she gets tired of the pattern or until she needs more room whichever comes first. You can't go wrong with a JanSport backpack. I have had my JanSport backpack since I was 12/13 years old and 17 years later it is still going strong. I grew up overseas and my JanSport has withstood Middle School/Jr.High, High School, air travel 3-4 times a year, European trips for school, vacations, college and I still use it for vacations to this day. I never had to have it repaired or replaced despite treating it very rough and despite over packing it at times. In High School I was lugging about 20-30+ pounds of books, binders, and notebooks in it and the straps never cut into my shoulders. I know when you look at the price it is hard to bring yourself to order a backpack that costs $30.-$100.00 but you can't buy a better backpack. I have been using my backpack for 17 years and it is still in wonderful condition despite everything I put it through. I have had to buy my daughter 3 backpacks due to them breaking each year so every year I have shelled out $10-15.00 for a cheaply made bag. It was that aspect of things that made me decide to buy a JanSport for her. I know she will need a new one at some point but it won't be due to it breaking it will be because she needs a backpack that can hold more and when that time comes I will buy her another JanSport. I just want to add that when my backpack got dirty I turned it inside out and threw it in the washer. I also have to applaud Zappos for their wonderful service.This is the third time I have ordered from Zappos and each time my items were waiting for me 24-48 hours after they were ordered.No other online site that I, or my family and friends, have ordered from have ever shipped their items so promptly much less have them waiting at the house 24-48 hours after placing an order. Zappos has made a loyal customer out of me!

I have always had really good luck with Jansport products. This is the perfect size for my needs the material doesn't seem quite as durable as the first one I had for 19 yrs. But I think it will hold up just fine.

Purchased this Jansport backpack for my 5 year old daughter. It has proven to be durable, user friendly and clothes washer friendly. The colors are holding up nicely. It never looks dirty because of the dark colors. I would recommend this backpack to others.

My daughter loves her new backpack. She's in Jr. high and all of her books of different sizes fit in her backpack, but she can only fit 3 books, two spiral notebooks, and a binder. It works for her. It's sturdy and Jansport has always been reliable for me.

I purchased this backpack at the request of my daughter, who is a senior in high school. She wanted something basic and hip - apparently simple black Jansport bag is now "cool" - to carry her books, but not look like she was hefting the contents of her locker. This backpack does the job for her. I agreed to this Jansport bag because I trust the quality of the product and know it will withstand the neglectful attention it will get from an adolescent (being tossed about, sat on, overloaded at times, etc.). While my daughter can easily fit a couple of binders and an assorted bunch of papers in this bag, it is, however, a bit small for a student who needs to lug several binders and textbooks at a time.

The book is large enough to fit my daughter's school things without being too big. The color and pattern is just what she had been looking for.

I bought this for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! These backpacks are an in-between size and are more comfortable to carry. The variety in colors is also a plus. I would definitely buy another one just like this one.

Middle school age choice - This is the backpack of choice for middle-schoolers in our area. Great to be able to choose color on line without driving from store to store to find the item in the desired color. Well made -- will be used a long time.

Just a great school backpack - I bought this backpack for my 10 year old daughter. It is a roomy backpack, without too many overly specific pockets. It's good size for a middle school kid (maybe a bit big for the younger ones) and has nice padding. The material is durable and not too heavy, and my daughter really liked having so many choices of prints.

Top notch back pack. It's an average student size and use back pack, perfect for toting your stuff. The spades and skulls design is a lot of fun. This is not a large capacity style so it is not good for serious outdoor use or toting a lot of heavy books for school. Lighter duty, but perfect for that!

Great backpack - Lightweight and durable. Holds a lot more than you'd think. Loved all the colors and patterns available.

Plain and simple - I've always liked Jansports bag and I definitely like this one. It's big in the inside and the pocket is big enough to fit what I need to.

Great Backpack for Teens - Very stylish and plenty of room for all your books, binders and folders.

Simple and easy backpack - My son is a minimalist. He likes having just two pockets so that he doesn't have to hunt around for pens, pencils, erasers or anything else. Either he has it or not. The main section is a bit small from my perspective, but he thinks it's just fine for his binder and separate notebooks. (He has a set of books at home.)
