Buy the regular Birkenstock footbed. These are too plush and far less supportive.

The footbed was soft and very supportive. The upper felt great, if slightly too large. I originally ordered a size smaller but had to order this larger size. Ultimately returned both, in part because they made my feet sweat.

Theses had to be returned. They run much narrower than the suede ones I've had in the past.

After years of birkenstock sandal bliss, I decided to try a close-toed pair for fall/winter. I went with my usual size for sandals, except I erred on the side of regular width (rather than my usual narrow) to give me a little more room for socks. They fit pretty well, maybe a little tight in the toes, but I think that'll change with time. They're very comfortable, especially for pregnant feet that swell and shrink ALL THE TIME. The only downside is they *are* kinda ugly. Not something you wear unless you put thought into the rest of your outfit. Works for me :)

I normally take a sz 39 in Birks. I tried on the 39N in a store and it felt a little short, so I ordered the 40N from Zappos.Way too big. Like the looks but even the narrow isn't a true narrow. Had to return.

I was surprised to find that the "Soft" foot bed meant less arch support. For my plantar fasciitis, I prefer the most support, and found that the standard footbed (not these) was less squishy and therefore more comfortable for me. I'm sending back the "soft" one and keeping the regular one.

The fit and comfort was great. Love my Birks . I now have 6 pair. My Dr has recommended these. I can't say enough about Zappos. Great customer service. My daughter recommended Zappos Thank you

Beautiful suede and perfect comfort, just like Birkenstocks are famous for! I wanted the soft footbed for winter so my socks won't wear out so fast and I'm looking forward to warm and comfortable feet this season. Love!

Shoe was not as soft as I'd anticipated.

The soft footbed is amazing! I use these as house shoes and often accidentally leave the house in them because they’re so comfortable.

Love this Birkenstock! Took a chance ordering a soft footbed for the first time. At first, I kinda, sorta, missed the higher arch support of traditional Birkenstocks. But I quickly become enamored of the soft footbed. The support is sufficient. I wear an 8 in Keens, and most often an 8 1/2 in other brands of shoes. The 39 fit perfectly. And there will be enough room for woolly winter socks when the season changes. Per the info offered in the Item Information section on the shoe description, I ordered the Narrow width for my medium width foot. It's just right. I love the Oiled Leather look. I took a chance, too, on the new-to-me Boston style. It's extremely comfortable and makes easier walking at a quicker pace than my old Arizona sandals ever did. Hah...when I talked to one of Zappos magnificent customer service associates (about returning another type of shoe) I related that my first pair of Birkenstock Arizonas cost $36!

Very comfortable and soft footbed. Great for running errands. I wear them with socks.

I am in love with these !!! SO comfortable and like walking on air. Only problem was that I had to return and order a size down and get narrow width. My feet are on the wide side and that adjustment was perfect. Probably because they are uni-sex. You will not be disappointed!!

I have owned these for nearly a year and still consider myself to be breaking them in fully as I haven't worn them too much out of the house. I love to do chores and cook dinner in them as the arch support ensures I don't get a sore back. They look great. The black suede will rub off and cause some light discoloration for a while but it will go away. Definitely causes blisters on inside arch while breaking in but it's not bad; recommend wearing with light socks around house to get your feet used to them. Would gladly buy more!

I got these shoes because I often like the look of a sandal, but may be in an indoor setting where the A/C is too high and my feet freeze! This shoe offers some warmth and also looks good with low-cut socks. I initially got the black suede, but returned them for the beige color. The buckle/strap detail shows up much better on the beige. These are very cute and versatile, and with the slip-on style, super convenient. You can dress them up or down. Very happy with them.

I bought the Taupe Suede in a 36 N and it didn't quite fit. Besides not fitting, I didn't like the color. The taupe was lighter than expected and had a weird greenish-yellow cast to it. I decided to order a size down in the same color anyway because I was buying this for comfort and not style. When the 35 M shoes arrived, not only did they fit but the color was the greyish, mushroom brown I was hoping for. Wish they made more styles in 35 M.

These are my "fall/winter" Birks! I love that they fit well enough to wear with or without socks, depending on the weather.

These are very comfortable, but there may occasionally be some pain if you have bunions and wear them for a while.

I bought these as a gift for my mother in law as she's been struggling with plantar fasciitis and foot pain, and I think feels overwhelmed by shoe stores. They are a perfect fit in her normal shoe size and she's in love with them. She claims they are already helping her foot, but I take that with a grain of salt since they were a gift so what else could she say? ;) She wears them barefoot or with thin socks. I have the Mayari and Arizona soft footbed styles for myself and the Mayari in particular are my favorite shoes. Birkenstocks never disappoint. I'm a bit jealous of these clogs and may buy some for myself when it cools down again!

I have owned a pair of these for over 12 years and the bottoms are finally almost worn off in places. I know I can have them resoled, but I thought I would buy another pair. They are not exactly stylish, but they are so comfortable that I wear them everywhere.
