Thank god for Zappos, honestly!! Everywhere is sold out. I mean everywhere. Especially the Taupe's. THANK YOU ZAPPOS FRLL. I love this website for a reason. I live in Canada but I used Planet Express to ship it from USA to here and it was very much worth it for these guys. Perfect fit for me, I like wearing them with looser jeans and some socks, socks really help it fit snug! I'm a 7.5 women's regular and its very much true to size.

I'm a Birkenstock girl and I love the Boston clog. I wear a size 37 in all sandle Birkenstocks but in any of the closed toe shoes I wear a 38. Zappos is the only place I buy shoes. Fast free shipping and easy returns.

I love these Birks. I've never been able to comfortably wear Birk sandals, but tried these because my husband has a pair that he loves. I read that these Boston clogs are good for plantar fasciitis, which I am plagued with right now. I've worn these all day every day since I got them a week ago and am very pleased with how comfortable they are and that I can walk pain-free in these clogs most of the time. I love them because they are almost like slippers for wearing in the house, but with lots of support. Mine are suede and because there is no smooth leather liner on the inside, when I wear my thicker wool socks they can be hard to slip on because the suede grabs the wool. Not a deal breaker by any stretch. I wear a 7.5 regular width in US women's sizes and the 38 Narrow fits perfectly (I read that women should order narrow in these so I did). The toe ridge feels good, unlike in the sandals which is what makes it difficult for me to wear Birk sandals. I don't have that problem with the Boston -- maybe because I wear socks with these. These are a winners for me!

It took me awhile to figure out the sizing for the Birkenstock Bostons. What I discovered is that, unless you have a wide foot, you should order your typical size but with a "Narrow" width. I am typically between a 6-6.5 and first ordered the size 37 (6 - 6.5 equivalent). I didn't realize the only option for this particular style was in the "Regular" width. The shoes were huge! I returned the 37 and ordered a size 36. The 36 fit my foot too snugly, with my toe touching the front of the shoe. I then went to a shoe store and was able to try on the Boston style in a 37 "Narrow" and it fit perfectly. Very comfortable and granola-chic. Unfortunately, the size and color of Boston I want is not available on Zappos or the Birkenstock website. I wanted to share this saga to hopefully spare others from the challenge of identifying their proper size in this shoe.

I normally wear a size 8 shoe and Birkenstocks size 38 are a perfect fit. They are so comfortable and as I get older I’m wearing them a lot more! Can’t beat ‘em.

I am a true female 8.5 shoe. 24.5 cm. I ordered the 39 narrow in the suede type of this shoe. it fit perfectly. I am so glad that I followed the advice of other people on here- unless you have a super wide foot, order the narrow. I’m wondering if because these shoes are unisex, that “narrow” fits women better, and “wide” is more geared towards a better fit for men. I don’t know if that’s true, it’s just seems that way.

These shoes tend to run a little big if you go with the regular/wide width. I usually wear an 8 1/2 -9. I had to size down and they fit like a glove.

true to regular birkenstock sizing - the soft footbed is a subtle difference, but definitely cozier and feel more “broken-in” out of the box than the traditional footbed. if you’re a woman, their unisex “narrow width” is closer to what most would consider “regular” women’s width - i wouldn’t get “regular” width unless your feet are wide.

I can’t find the narrow widths in stores, so I have a few of the standard, and in the Boston clogs, they fit like bedroom slippers. These, on the other hand, fit like they were custom made for me - and they look better, too, without the super-wide toe box. I love them!

Comfortable shoe. Runs wide, the narrow fits me perfectly and I’m usually a medium width.

I was very confused about the sizing and ordered the regular width a size smaller than my size, I had to return them for narrow in my size which for perfect. The regular width are REALLY wide and a little weird looking on me. I’m size 7 with average size width, not wide but not narrow.

I’ve been a long time Birkenstock lover, and the soft footbed is absolutely amazing! Love the style of the Boston sandals with wide toe box and arch support. They are very comfortable especially if you have foot pain. I had surgery a couple of months ago, and these sandals are great for recovery.

I have a wide foot and purchased the regular width, which are perfect. If you have narrow feet, definitely get the narrow version. I have a serious case of plantar fasciitis, so I have been switching over to more supportive shoes. These are great for plantar fasciitis, but still cute.

I purchased these as slippers to wear around the house. I considered the Sherpa lined ones but they had bad reviews that the lining wore down. I wear socks with these anyway at home. I really like them. They have good arch support and were comfortable out of the box . I purchased regular width and don’t have fat feet and they fit well. Same size as my Birkenstock sandals. I recommend.

If you order, use European sizing, I’m a 37/7 but Zappos sizing says a 37 is a 6. The regular width made these tight and uncomfortable but when I got the wide they were perfect (can even wear with socks).

They were a perfect fit. I had to send them back though, my foot...not your sizing. I have a hammer toe and it is just too much for the depth of the shoe. I even tried wrapping the toe. It still pressed against the top of the shoe and was just plain painful. You most generously sent me a label for the return. Great service on your part.

I always love Birkenstocks and find them to be very comfortable. I have only ever bought the open toe sandals before and this was the first pair that is closed toe. I felt like my regular size in this shoe had my toes bumping at the front and the next size up had my heel about 3/4 of an inch from the edge - i.e. they looked too big and I worry that when walking they may slip off. I ended up keeping the smaller size (the same size that I always wear in Birkenstocks) and hoping that the suede will stretch a bit.

I usually wear a 38 but needed 39 in this shoe. The suede version is not as sturdy as the leather version and does not feel like it would hold up as well. It takes a while to break them in but they feel great now. If your are between sizes I,d size up.

I wore Birkenstocks years ago, and had to give them up for a "more polished" look for my job. Now that I've given up that nonsense, I'm back to Birks. They fit almost perfectly right out of the box, and after a day of wearing them around the house they felt entirely perfect. They feel good with and without socks, although I haven't tried them with really thick ragg wool socks- I don't want to stretch them out. The regular width is perfect for my C or D feet, and the arch hits in the right spot. The "night" shade is what I'd call navy blue. I would've been ok with dark purple as described, but the blue goes great with jeans. If these ever come back in red, I'm going to get another pair. I lived in my Mayuri sandals this summer, and these are just as fun and comfy.

I am a 7.5 or 8 usually. I ordered the 38 regular in the black suede and they were huge in width. Like.. I couldn't walk in them. The length was fine so I exchanged for a narrow (I have never purchased a narrow shoes before. For the record, I think my feet are average width. Maybe a little skinny but idk about narrow). The 38 narrow is great and still roomy enough to wear with socks if I wanted to in the winter. Also, they don't look too clunky with my thin ankles. They aren't uncomfortable during break in and the black suede is not stiff at all but I do think they need a little wear for them to mold to your foot. Anyway, I love them and hope I get years of use out of them!

Love this item. At first I ordered them in narrow unknowingly and they were way to slim. I don’t think I have wide feet but I after trying these I know they’re not narrow. Returned for the regular width and love them. Usually an 8-8.5 and ordered these in a 7-7.5.

A bit tricky finding the right size. Some reviewers advise going with a 1/2 size smaller since it is an enclosed shoe rather than a sandal. That didn't work for me because downsizing changes where the arch support contacts your foot. On the other hand, regular width was too wide. What did work was staying with my regular size and switching to the narrow fit. The soft-footbed makes the break-in period a breeze. Please add it to more styles!

First of all, this is my 3rd pair of this style Birkenstocks. I am a size 10 (US). I bought my second pair in Germany and the German salesperson convinced me to get a 45 with a soft bed. To be honest, this was a little big. The 44 soft bed (rated 11-11.5) fits me perfectly. The soft bed is the way to go. The styling is love it or hate it, I love it. The arch support is great and helps me with plantar fasciitis.

The Boston clog fits like the Arizona. I get the regular width and they're relatively roomy. Some styles, like the Gizeh, seem to be a little more narrow. If you like that fit, these may seem wide. The soft footbed is super comfortable. It is soft, but without feeling too plush or unsupportive. I'd read that you might need to size up in a closed style like this, but the bigger size was far too big. My usual 41 regular width fit perfectly. The taupe colour is a really nice neutral shade that goes with everything. It's especially cute with jeans.
