This shoe is at least a full size larger than marked. When I went on the actual Converse website it said that a woman's size 7 is a Converse 5.5. I ended up getting a 6 based on the reviews here at Zappos and it's a little big and so I've been subject to a few blisters. Don't let that deter you from getting this shoe in the proper size though because it is very comfortable and great for just throwing on and running errands.

Long and narrow - For some reason, Converse seems to think all feet are the same width regardless of length. For those of us who have long feet that are also proportionately wide, ordering Chucks or Jacks might be something to balk at. I decided to order these anyway, and although I love the concept and look of the shoes, I think they look awkward on my feet. I normally wear size 13. I ordered size 12 and they are still a little on the long side. Unfortunately, Zappos is sold out of my color in size 11.5, so I bought some insoles and stuck with the 12s. Don't expect to wear these while running. These are slip-ons, and they slip off with ease, which is great for airport security, not so great for getting around in a hurry. Think of these shoes as covered flip-flops. If I could change anything about the fit of the shoes I received, I would go down a half-size more in length and widen them. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the style and look of these.

Run Large! This is a great shoe, but it definitely runs big. I wear Jack Purcells almost everyday, so I decided to try these. I own countless pairs of the Purcells in a 7, but had to go down to a 6 ½ in these. It's not as sturdy as other Converse, but it's the perfect casual shoe. I wear them when I don't feel like wearing shoes!

LOVE these shoes to pieces. I'd recommend them to anyone - Generally, I wear a 9 and went with a women's size 8. Fits well, still a tad bit of extra room, but nothing major, if anything it makes them a little more comfortable.

Good kicking around shoes - Everyone is right about sizing. Overall these shoes are great, but I was surprised at how thin the material was. That and there are a lot of hanging threads. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with them.

Shoe runs a bit large....happy with comfort - I took the advice of the reviews. I ordered an 8.5 and I normally wear a 9.0. I kept the shoe, but am wondering if I could do an 8.0 I found the shoe to be comfortable and have not needed any extra insert. Just returned from a vacation where we did lots of walking and my feet were fine.

Definitely a full size larger than marked, I had to return a 7.5 for a 6.5. I also find these a bit narrow. Heel rubs on new shoes, not sure if this will work itself out eventually. LOVE the way they look and Zappos service is awesome.

Easy Slip On and Off - Primarily chose this shoe for ease of slipping off and on at the airport. For that purpose it serves well. Finding the correct size was difficult because Zappos says to select a size "a half size smaller" than you would normally wear. The size that fit my feet was one and a half sizes smaller. Not a great walking shoe. Not much between the ground and your foot.

Perfect summer casual shoe - They look great with shorts & a t-shirt or polo. Easy to slip on & off and have that worn look you want, but normally have to wait a year for. Basically - really cool shoes.

The Slip - I like the look of this shoe a lot; it's cute. It has no support, so I had to replace the insole with a more supportive one, since I have very high arches. Perhaps because of my high arches, I also find them hard to get on; I probably have to get a shoe horn. Also, in the comfort area, I sort of feel the stitching along the top of my foot. But I am keeping the shoe. It is cute, and I just won't wear it for extended periods of time or when I'm going to do a lot of walking. It's possible that it might be more comfortable with socks.

Sweet - My uncle got these and after seeing them, I had to have them myself. So I logged onto Zappos at 10pm on a Monday night and they were at my doorstep Tuesday afternoon. How sweet is that? Anyway, the shoe is just as expected. Comfortable slip on, no socks needed and they do run large. Zappos said to purchase a half size smaller than normal, all the reviewers went with a full size smaller. I normally wear a 10.5 and I decided to go with the consensus and go with 9.5 - perfect fit. Thanks everyone who purchased before me and left a review. Note they do run a little narrow.

A new twist on a classic design - My husband doesn't like Chuck Taylor's but I bought these anyway. Of course, once I had them and wore them, he complimented me on them right away. They definitely run big, so order down. Ironically though, they also felt narrow through the ball of the foot, so allow some "break in" time so they don't rub you raw. (I don't wear mine with socks, and I have fairly narrow feet.) Another tip: since these kinds of shoes can get stinky, I spray that Liquid Crystal deodorant on my feet and let it dry before wearing these, and odor has not been a problem. Also, these shoes have no arch support, which you'll know if you've worn "Chucks" before.

Chuck's own - Just make sure you get 1 size smaller then your usual size.

Not bad - Well basically b'c the shoes are so thin that you definitely need to buy a 1/2 size or even FULL size smaller. They remind me of like swimming shoes the way they fit. But other than that it's not bad at all! I like it!

Casual has never been so casual - Love these shoes. They look great with jeans, are easy to wear and are totally cool. Remember to get a half or even a full size smaller than you usually wear and you'll do fine. Hey, if you want high-tech insoles, flashy colors and cushy arch support, look elsewhere. These are chucks. And they're all I need. And, of course, Zappos rules.

Cool converse slip-on - I really like this Converse slip-on. Very easy especially when you travel and have to check in at the airport for security... although there is no support... I think that’s the only complaint I have, but other than that its awesome! Get half size smaller... I’m women’s size 6, so I ordered men’s size 3-1/2.

Bigger than you think - Basically these shoes look great with any kind of jeans. Here's the problem - they are at least a half size bigger than you think they are. So make sure to order a half size smaller.

Cool, casual, chill-out shoe - Easy on, easy off sneaker. Breathable canvas with a timeless weathered look. Dresses down any outfit. Never have to worry about untied laces again. Downside is lack of arch support although it's still a nice addition to everyone's shoe collection.

Shoe stringless Converses - This particular style is just as I wanted-a slip-on tennis shoe. I like not having to tie tennis shoes and this is perfect.

Cute shoe - I love the look of this shoe. After reading all the other reviews decided to go a full size smaller. I think I could have gone 1/2 size smaller. The shoe is sooo adorable, have had many compliments. However, it is not built for comfort or for lots of walking. No support and a little narrow. Get it DEFINITELY for styling!

Fun shoe! Very cute shoes, but I had to order a full size smaller than my usual size. I don't normally wear tennies, and I've never had Converse shoes before, so maybe that explains it.

Super cute! I agree with other reviewers that the shoe runs large - I ordered 1/2 size smaller, and the fit was perfect. I sadly needed to return them because there is ZERO arch support and no room for orthotics, but that is no surprise... these shoes are not known for great support. I took the chance when ordering them because they are so darn cute.

Super-cute shoes, but... These shoes have a great look; they're super cute... that’s why I ordered them. However, they ARE. NOT. COMFORTABLE!!! It took them two weeks for them to break in, which meant my toes were angry and achy, and their soles are not padded whatsoever so they're STILL not comfortable. I would recommend these shoes to anyone who loves their look, but do not plan on wearing these if you have to be on your feet for more than a couple hours. Also, the shoe rating went up because I have to agree that Zappos really does provide disturbingly great service.

Great, Fun Shoe - I love kicking around in these shoes. They definitely run a size smaller than your normal size (I wear an 8, 7 in this fits great). I am going to order the gray ones in the fall!
