Been wearing Ultimate 81s for awhile now. Definitely the most comfortable sneakers I've worn for the price. Even more comfortable than higher-priced kicks. A bit of a warning on the Zappos Exclusive Black/SteelGrey color on the Ultimates 81s: In the picture, they look a denim grey. In actuality, they're more silver. They can look a bit "shiny" in sunlight.

The Onitsuka Tiger Ultimate 81 is reminiscent of running shoes that were popular during the 1980s. It has a simple clean good looking design. It doesn't have the large "clunky" appearance common in many of today's running shoes. The Tiger 81 also features a very snug but extremely comfortable glove like fit that molds to your foot. If you tighten the laces just a bit, it is nearly impossible to slip off the shoe without first losing up the laces. These shoes are extremely comfortable with or without socks. Like boat shoes they look good with shorts and no socks. They are excellent for casual wear and light running. In my opinion, after wearing these shoes you will like them and purchase a second pair.

First, these do not run large; so don't be tempted to go 1/2 size bigger. Moreover, these shoes are very light and simple, no support or much of a heel. Perfect for yoga, traps or straps biking, comfort wear, maybe smooth surface running - like slippers with laces. If you are expecting anything rugged, warm, protective, or supportive you are buying the wrong shoe. A classic.

This is like my 10th pair of the Ultimate 81's. Is there any other shoe like this? One that is very comfortable, holds up very well and that which is always changing color & material variations? This is a very exciting shoe, and Zappos seems to have all of them -- right on the cutting edge of The Tiger!

I love these shoes! I had them in another style from 4 years ago and decided to get another pair. I love this color combination as well. They are definitely true to size. I am a women's 10 and they fit just right. They are good for wide feet even though they seem kind of narrow.

These shoes have amazing comfort as everyday walking shoes. There is not a great amount of arch support, but I don't believe they were designed with that in mind. The material is great, and they have yet to wear out in any place.

I purchased my retro Tiger running shoes solely based on reviews and I'm not disappointed in the least! I did have to buy an inexpensive arch insert because there just wasn't enough support for me personally, but the shoes are light and comfortable and I love them!

Wow! These shoes are Sa'weet! To think I almost bought a pair of boat shoes. What was I thinking? I can tell as soon as I put them on that these shoes wouldn't work for me as a runner (I run mainly trails) but as a fly summer shoe with no socks and some shorts they are right on! And you know what else was awesome? Zappos. I opted for the free shipping in 5-7 business days and received these shoes in two days. I can't say everyone is going to get their shoes this fast. For all I know Zappos is stationed in Austin, but I don't think so. Highly recommend these shoes. In fact, my fiance is considering getting a pair now since they come in like 15 different colors.

I'd never been complimented on shoes before I bought these shoes, but people love these things! Very stylish.

I've always liked gray, but I thought this would be too light. They are perfect. They arrived just before I went to the Caribbean for work...really, it was work. The shoe, right, they are fine, and I'll buy a few more pair so I don't get caught without a back up. Fit is so light and comfortable.

I am so pleased with these shoes. They are so comfortable and stylish. They weren't my first choice but when I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised. Great job.

The shoe is really comfortable to walk around or even casually run in. The only thing I noticed is that the seams of the shoe seemed to have glue "splotches" which makes it look like the shoe might fall apart easily after seeing some heavy use. Guess we'll have to see. All in all though, I like that unless others are shopping with Zappos, these are unique colors for the Onitsukas which are already pretty popular.

Based on other reviews I ordered a 9 instead of 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I wear these sneakers all day at work and they're really comfy. I don't even have to put arch-support insoles in them like I usually do with sneakers.

The navy blue model looks more like black in person. So much so, that I thought I had the wrong shoe! Cool shoes. I wish the Mexico 66 shoes had these soles.

Very stylish. Surprisingly comfortable for the price. Has held it's shape after a few wears, so it seems to be made of good quality materials.

These shoes are the bees knees. Definately good for the price too. The style is dope, you can lift in these, run from dogs, and tear up the town in these bad boys. They fit snugly, so there is no uncomfortable rubbing, and it also fits the foot, well my foot, nicely. I like to think I have pretty normal or average feet. I plan on getting another pair of these when mine wear out.

I purchased these shoes because they looked fresh online and I respect the Asics name. Opening the box I was happy to find they looked even better than I expected. I normally wear a size 13 shoe, and the Tiger size 13 fit like a glove. This shoe is considerably light and has served as an excellent day shoe (had them for 4 weeks). They've held up great and also contour to your foot easily because of the light-weight build. My only criticism about the shoe is the mesh material that comprises the white part of the shoe. It picks up dirt and stains easily so be ready to throw these guys in the wash with some stain remover. I would definitely buy them again.

Great shoe -- the most comfortable sneaker I've bought in years. I bought it to replace my Saucony Jazz, which was not a great sneaker to wear all day. This one is. Arch support is surprisingly good, and walking around with them on for hours is no problem. I will be buying another color of these.

I love these shoes! This is the fourth pair of Tiger by Asics I have gotten. They are my favorite! They are light and comfortable. I am a bartender/waitress, so I am on my feet, running around sometimes 10 hours at a time, and my feet don't hurt when I get home. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10, but am comfortable in a size 9 with these shoes. And they come in so many colors!

I'm extremely pleased with this purchase as these have quickly become one of the favorite shoes that I've ever worn. They are extremely comfortable (great padding in the interior as well as great arch support), stylish, and very lightweight. I was surprised how, straight from the box, they fit great and seemed to need no breaking in. I'm so happy I purchased these and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a casual, comfortable shoe that is great for physical activity as well.

My 16 year old son loves these shoes. They have a great coolness factor and are super comfortable!

I got these shoes in the Zappos Exclusive Leaf Green and they look even more beautiful in person! The shoes at first feel like they lack cushioning and have a higher than normal amount of arch support but, after a couple of days of breaking them in, they are super comfortable and light! The heels on these, unlike with the Mexico 66, are a good height and these are great with jeans. Depending on the style you get, you will get a durable canvas with leather on the Asics logo, or a mix of leather and mesh. In the case of the Leaf Greens, it's a really pleasant canvas as opposed to a leather/mesh mix (which I prefer). Excellent purchase!

Since I have a wider foot, I went up a half size. These are actually really comfortable for the style of shoe - I do wear an arch support to give me some support due to the flat foot style. They also come with a grey pair of shoe strings as well.
