I bought these shoes for my son in late November and we loved them, but now we don’t! These shoes are only worn to school and did not last. The sole is so worn out and very thin. I do not recommend this shoe at all.

I love Onitsuka Tigers, they’re my favorite shoes in the world. Comfortable, classy looking. I can dress them up with my business suits or dress them down with jeans. I bought these shoes (the black/steel grey color) to wear with a black suit. I wore them out and people kept asking me why I was wearing blue shoes with a black suit. Unfortunately, the black in these shoes looks very blue. I love the shoes, but really, they shouldn’t be labeled as black.

Great looks and that is it. I have had mine for about 2 or 3 months now... took like 2 weeks to initially break in (they were horribly painful at first, even for 5 minute periods)... Just got back from 5 days in Tokyo, and I am probably going to throw these bricks away. I'm going back to my Adidas ZX's

Bad Design - These shoes are cute little torture devices. Problem is the heel cup rises too high, digging into my Achilles tendon. I tried to wear them around the house a couple of days, hoping they would loosen up or something. No dice. Broke my heart, but I had to return them.

Fantastic boot! The boot’s footbed is so comfortable - it feels like a really well-padded running shoe. It’s warm (fleece-lined) and really cute. I’ve worn them with my jeans tucked in and even skirts with tights. I’d been looking for winter boots for a long time and these are just great!

After a week of wearing the rubber sole is separating from the toe of the shoe and I'll have to return them. Also the color is a very shiny demin, it is not grey and black as I thought from the photo.

Worst shoe ever! Gave me some serious foot problems and had to stop running. Also, they looked really worn just after a couple days of wearing them!

Ugly shoe. The birch color is an awful choice and makes the shoe look dirty. White stripes instead of birch would be much better. Nice design/shape, bad color combination.

If you are into ballet, these are the shoes for you. They are cheaply made, even the shoestrings are too short. My son loves his Asics but these are pathetic! The heel is extremely narrow.

Really confused as to why this was the highest rated black shoe. Very uncomfortable, very stiff and tight on the top of the foot (and I have small feet). Worn twice, gave them away to Goodwill.

I have been using Asics for as wile, both Mexico 66 and Ultimate 81 models. I still buy these shoes because I thought that they last longer than other brands. Nonetheless, four months ago I bought a pair of Otnisuka Ulitimate 81 which I have been using on a regular basis until today (I don't use them every day). Well, after just 4 months of use the shoes present holes in their side, just in the line where foot bends while you are working. I don't think that sneakers should last forever but just 4 months it is completely absurd. Really I should have my money back.

I'm a woman, and I bought the size I normally wear; they are unfortunately too big so I never wear them. Go a half size smaller and maybe even a whole size. After wearing them a few times I realized they're really big, so one whole size might be good too. Good luck and make sure you try them on before you decide to wear them out and keep them. Very pricey too.

These shoes gave me blisters on my heels. The back of the shoes is very stiff and hard. I had to cut the back off because I needed them for work and didn't have time to buy another.

Great style, perfect fit, surprising amount of arch support and comfy footbed. Only complaint is the too-long laces.

These are my new favorite sneakers. They're good for jeans or shorts, and have a nice throw-back feel. Comfortable and high quality.

I have worn Asics/Onitsuka Tiger shoes for decades. They are always comfortable and stylish. This particular Ultimate 81 is sized for men and women, therefore the width is a little wider than women’s sizing. If you have narrow feet, you will need a liner or thick socks, as they will not be as snug, particularly in the heel area. The length is true to size. I wear a 8.5 in Asics and have always found that size to work for me. I purchased the Oatmeal/Moonrock for the color, knowing that they would be too wide but the liner helps.

Love the color. I was afraid the brick red color might be a little too light and pinkish, but it’s perfect. This is my third pair of Ultimate 81s. I didn’t realize this one had a corduroy texture, but I love it.

Comfy

This is my favorite shoe for doing Tai chi. The sole is thin and flexible, the fit good.

Overall I really like the shoe. The corduroy is cool. I have two other pairs of Onitsuka Tigers in different styles, both in size 12.5, and these shoes in 12.5 are noticeably looser.

I have ordered many pairs of Ultimate 81s in the past. The unisex sizing always fits the way I expect it to in the length and width. The unisex sizes are slightly wider than the sizing specifically made for women. So, a thicker sock will usually take up the extra space in the shoe and still provide comfort. These shoes are stylish and super comfortable. They are great for travel and errands around time. I highly recommend the brand and style.

These are great shoes! I've had several pairs over the years, and I love them. Extremely comfortable out of the box, and surprisingly good support given their slim profile (I have a neutral step). I can wear them all day w/ no trouble at all. They are also really good looking! Great with jeans. I often receive compliments about them. I am only sad that my favorite color combo, the grey with orange stripes & laces is no longer available! Lots of other color options though.

Style and support are awesome. These come with long laces and definitely run small, at least half a size.
