My husband loves the slippers in fact we bought them twice. However the last pair did not last very long. It appears the stitching between the soul and the edge near the toe of the shoe was not very tight. After a month and a half they started to fray.

I was looking for a comfortable slipper with a hard back. Not easy to find. The LB Evans slipper fits the bill. However beware that it runs a little large. I ordered a 10.5, which is my shoe size, and they are a little big. I was disappointed that the delivery came as a shoebox in a bag. The bag was ripped and the shoebox had a torn corner. Felt cheap.

The back edge of both slippers was wearing almost thread-bare after 3 weeks. Zappos was terrific and sent a replacement pair immediately. For the price, I expected a sturdier slipper. The style is modern and attractive but I am disappointed in the quality.

Very narrow. I always buy an extra wide and have no problem. These are so narrow it smashes all the rest of my toes and are very uncomfortable. I would send them back but no longer have the box. Disappointed

"Slippers." When we think of that word we think comfortable - not in this case. Are they leather or are they cardboard? They are sized a full size too small (like flip-flops). I have outside shoes that I paid less for and are of better quality and comfort - how hard is it make house shoes?

Loved the style, but the production quality control needs to improve. The left shoe fit perfectly, but the right shoe was too wide and loose. I don't usually have a problem with fit. Recommend manufacturer check their production quality control.

I've purchased multiple pairs of Evans Opera slippers. They have lasted for years. My latest pair is falling apart after just a few months. Looks to me as though this slipper is being assembled by a new manufacturer with MUCH lower standards. I won't buy another pair and do not recommend these to anyone.

The slippers fit pretty well out of the box. The left slipper was a little tight (lenghtwise) initially but that turned out to be a thin piece of cardboard filler stuck in the toe. However, about a month after receipt I noted a 1/4 inch separation of the upper at the toe of the right slipper. It looks like the leather tore along the stitch line. Today, about a week later, I noticed a longer separation (tear?) on the lefthand side of the same slipper. It too looks like the separation is along the stitch. There's about a quarter inch tear into the upper leather extending from one end of the separation along the stitching. There's no issue with the other slipper at this time. So, I don't expect the slippers to last long. Certainly not long enough to justify the price. Could be a one-off issue but, I wouldn't recommend anyone buy these slippers. I will not buy again.

L.B Evans slippers no longer has any Good Quality

This is the third pair of L.B.Evans Duke Opera slippers I have had. I had to order them twice because the sizes were inconsistent in relation to the previous ones. The sewing in the heel is poor and they cause blisters on my heels. The fit is horrible and I am returning them in that the slippers are not of the quality of the previous ones. I am going to return them and never order another pair.

Zappos is great to deal with but these slippers are not a good product. I put Superfeet insoles in them because they have shapeless, flat bottoms; but worse, they have no sole or heel, just a thin layer of some kind of material wrapped over the bottom. I never go outdoors in them and only walk on smooth hardwood floors. In less than a year, they will look like you should be sitting at an intersection with a cardboard sign that says, "Please help." My previous pair looked like these except that they had ¼" thick foam rubber soles. They lasted over four years. Unfortunately they are no longer made, otherwise I would buy another pair of those.
