L.B.Evans slippers, men's. Although I am a female, I bought this slipper about 5 yrs ago, and for all around slipper they cannot be beat--fit, comfort, price and safety. Soft leather, burgendy. Fancy slippers are ok, but these are the greatest.

Sizing - The slippers were fine. It ran a little small and not wide enough. I hope I will be able to order a different width and size.

Great Slipper for Comfort - These slippers are comfortable, easy to get into and hold their shape. If the sole were a little harder I would use them outside. I have swollen feet and need support and these have good support and feel durable to me.

Cruise "shoes"- Actually, I purchased these leather slippers to wear to dinner each night when my wife and I are on a cruise. Since I had surgery on both feet, I can no longer wear my dress shoes without discomfort. The leather L.B. Evans Duke Opera slippers look enough like "real" shoes to fool most of the ship's guests. I'm looking forward to a comfortable cruise!

Very nice slipper, but runs small - This is a great quality slipper on top. The sole is definitely not made to wear outdoors. I'm waiting for the next bigger size to be in stock, because my usual size was too short.

G Jonas - The toe box is a little tight compared to other Evans slippers I’ve had.

L.B. Evans Duke Opera: Good Looks and Comfort - It's unusual to find a slipper with such good arch support. It needs more breaking in, but overall, style comfort and are impressive.

My Slippers - I like to wear these slippers around the house. I find them to be light and comfortable, easy to slip on and off and have owned several pairs over the last few years.

Nice slippers - I like these slippers BUT, I used to buy Daniel Greene "opera" slippers, but they are apparently no longer made. The reason that I liked Danl greene, and the one deficiency in L B evans (and others) is that the back is soft and collapses when sliding the foot into. with the "hard" back, they slip on easily, withour the need for a show horn. Being lazy, I apprecaited that one feature very much.

First Clothing Item Purchased on Web - The item is exactly what I ordered, but it is a little narrower than it should be for me. I was unsure about the width options that were offered. It would have helped if the letters designating width had been explained better on the order sheet.

Nice slipper, very comfortable, good price. My only complaint is that the insole is not well attached, which means that when wearing them without socks, removing the slipper pulls out the insole.

These are great slippers, especially for someone with a high instep. The uppers are excellent but the thin leather sole and heel are very thin and do not last for much more than one year.

ok, but......... I was looking to purchase a Daniel Green slipper, but apparently, it is no longer manufactured. This one seemed to be close to the one I love and still can't throw out. When I recieved this one it felt a little snug which I attributed to it being new. I left a shoe tree in the shoe for severly days hoping to stretch it a bit and make it more comfortable without harming the shoe. It did seem to be a bit more comfortable but still not the same. I now realize that the cut of the slipper on the side is almost down to the sole on the Daniel Greeen pair while the middle of the new is cut more like a shoe coming straight across to the front piece.

I purchased a pair of LB Evans Duke Opera slippers and wore them only inside on carpeted floors. Within six weeks after purchase, the heels of both slippers were totally frayed. In addition, the rear seam has separated. I then contacted the LB Evans company directly, and they essentially said "too bad!" I've paid $10 for slippers that lasted 3-4 years. I certainly had no idea that in spending over 4 times as much that I would be lucky to see even 4 MONTHS of use.

Loved these slippers which were just what I was looking for for my husband. However, he felt that the width was not as generous as he needed. Since I had also ordered a different style slipper which fit better, we are not taking the time to see if the leather would stretch for a better fit. Therefore, we are returning these (and keeping the other ones).

A rare shoe indeed. Comfortable when an orthotic is inserted, true to width (4E) and good-looking enough to wear on dressy occasions (or what passes for dressy here in LA). Gets my vote over Rockport or NB for comfort.

I ordered these slippers for my husband who has a very wide foot. Finding a wide slipper is very difficult and he loves the soft leather (which can stretch) to make them even wider to conform to his foot. The workmanship on these slippers is wonderful and they are very comfortable. He is very pleased with them. I would recommend them highly.

Too narrow in the "box" and way too loose in the heel. It pulls my socks under my heel almost the moment I start walking. :/

These aren't holding up so well for me. I hate wearing foot coffins (i.e., shoes) all day at work. If your feet can breathe a little, they don't get sweaty and stink. Since I work in a professional environment and trotting around in socks always gets me weird looks. I wanted some footwear that I could put on more quickly than laced shoes if I needed to get up from my desk quickly or someone came into my office, but that could still look somewhat shoe-like. These slippers delivered in that respect. Most people never noticed until I let them in on my dark slipper secret. Now the not so good. After a little less than a year on only carpeted surfaces, the sole has started to wear through showing the fuzzy white fabric underneath. And one of the toe seams is unraveling. I don't even walk around in them all that much. Also, as the sole has worn, they've become too (dare I say it) slippery. Slippers should slip onto your feet, not slip on the floor. I haven't wiped out yet, but going around corners a little too fast is becoming increasingly risky. I just bought a pair of slip-on regular shoes just for work and am using those instead.
