I started thinking about purchasing Keen more than a year ago, but was waiting for them to go on sale. By the time they do, they're out of normal (9) sizes. So, word to the wise, go ahead and spend a little more to get what you want. In other news, these are super comfortable and versatile; from the lake to the trail, your feet will be happy. Don't miss out on a great shoe/sandal!

Looking forward to wearing this shoe. I love how Zappos sends you their tracking number and the shoe arrives before you have a chance try to track it! Great job, Zappos. I am taking a vacation in March to Hawaii and I really need something like this. I have tried this on before and I'm pretty sure it will work out okay. I have narrower feet, small bunions, and my feet are shallow, but because you can cinch up that bungee cord thing, it just wraps nicely around my feet. This is the second pair of Keen's that I have, and my feet are fairly happy now. I worked in a shoe store for 6 mos and we sold a lot of Keen shoes. And yes, they run small, so order at least 1/2 size bigger than you need.

The Keen Newport shoes were purchased in anticipation of a vacation in Hawaii. We will be doing a lot of walking so I am breaking them in on my treadmill. They give wonderful support and are comfortable. I look forward to seeing how they hold up to the sand and surf.

These shoes are incredible! My Keen sandals were well worth the investment. I have had these incredible sandals for nearly two years. I was a camp counselor in CO and WA two summers in a row, and I wore these shoes practically every day. These sandals were great for white water rafting and walking. When they get dirty, I just wear them in the shower and the dirt washes right off. My shoes look practically new, two years later! You will be glad you invested in such a comfortable and practical piece of footwear.

Good outdoor shoes - This was my first pair of Keens, and I really like them. They offer a lot of protection for my feet and the width is adjustable. I didn't find that the heel strap pushed my foot forward as other users said. The only thing that I did notice (and why I gave them 4 stars for comfort) is that the sole seems to be higher under the outside of my foot -- sort of the opposite of an arch support, which would be under the inner part of my foot. Overall, though, they are comfortable and easy to walk in. I used them river rafting and biking. I normally wear a 9.5/10, and the 10 fit fine.

This sandal is so comfortable. It fits a little wide and a half size smaller than my normal shoe size, so order appropriately. I bought them to wear for an outdoor adventure trip I am going on and thought I would get them a month early to break them in, but no break in was necessary. I am very tall and a little heavy so I like a shoe that has very good stability and this one does. It feels a little heavy so if you are looking for a light sandal this is not the one for you, but since I want a sandal that looks great, is comfortable and can handle a little abuse it is perfect for me.

Comfortable!! I got these for my Europe Disney & camping in France trip, a friend recommended them, I LOVE THEM! I have problems with planner fasciitis and I was worried that these were not going to live up to the hype, well they did, in 5 days of walking, hiking, camping they were great. I wore socks with them part of the time when it was cooler, and they were still great!

Awesome - These shoes are great--wearing them to wait tables in for the summer. I wanted shoes that I can wear that are closed toe and without socks. I usually wear an 8-8 1/2. I needed the nine because the ankle strap holds your foot closer to the front of the shoe. All in all worth every penny. Zappos is awesome!

Love these, despite "shortcomings." I bought these to use while kayaking, but also found they are very comfortable to use as walking shoes. I'm old enough that I don't care if it’s not cool to wear socks with them while walking on dry land, including trails through the woods. With some of my other shoes, I twist my ankle, on occasion, while on uneven surfaces. Not with these. Overall, these were worth every penny, despite 2 shortcomings: 1) I think they take a long time to dry. They are still wet in the morning, except if I am able to dry them in the sun for the afternoon. 2) They are not easy and fast to get on and off, like my water sandals that have straps that snap/unsnap. But I can count on my feet being held secure in these, so I don't mind.

Great walker - I teach preschool and stand all day. I have been wearing Danskos a lot, but wanted something sportier for field trips and play days. These are remarkable shoes. I highly recommend them. Not the fancies shoe on the market, but certainly comfortable.

Funky comfort - After reading reviews on Zappos.com, I ordered a half size larger than my normal shoe size of 7.5. I received the size 8 and it fit wonderful everywhere except the toe area. I decided to keep the 8, but ordered the 8.5 to see the difference and the 8.5 ended up working out better for me. (Zappos’ return service is great, so I returned the 8 with no problem). I have a narrow foot and the 8.5 feels loose around the ankle, but I just tighten the cords as tight as they will go and it's fine. I have worn my Keens camping and around outside and they are great so far. They do make my feet sweat, but I've gotten used to it. They are not the most attractive shoe, but I think they are kind of funky cute and the comfort outweighs their look anyway.

Keen Newport H2 - This shoe is great! I have a severe ankle injury where I broke my ankle and had to have surgical plates and screws placed in it to fix the break. I am limited on what shoes I can wear and these support the ankle and are very comfortable as well as stylish. I will probably be ordering these in another color. The ordering process was easy and they were on my doorstep in 2 days. Unreal, you just can't ask for more. I am so glad my friend shared Zappos with me. You can wear these all day and live in pure comfort.

Keen Newport H2 - Great shoe, very comfortable, good support. I get compliments on them every time I wear them. Size is about a half size smaller than it should be. I wear a standard size 8 women's, but had to return it to get the 8.5, which fit fine. Zappos’ return policy is exceptional.

Your feet will love you - If you are looking for your first pair of Keens choose these shoes. If your feet bother you, these shoes will probably be very good choice. Be sure and order half a size larger because they do run small. I have gotten compliments from people on the way they look too. The sole is very springy and they help you keep your balance, even over gravel. They are durable and you can rinse them off easily if you get them dirty. Even my 86 year old grandmother liked them and she ordered a pair in purple. I ordered a sort of wine colored. My grandmother commented that they even do not bother the corn she has on her outer foot because the shoe has an opening there. I have had some recent foot problems and these were the only shoe I could tolerate. These shoes are very nice and durable. A little tight to slip the back strap on first time, but no problem after a couple times. Zappos was great and extremely fast delivery. I ordered another pair of shoes I didn’t like and they refunded me immediately. Order the Newport H2's you won’t be sorry.

Best shoes I've ever owned - no joke! I have owned this shoe for three or four seasons, and everywhere I go, I get asked about them. They are the best all-purpose shoe made, I believe. They provide excellent arch support, are miraculously durable, easy to keep clean, require NO break-in and even look great once you get used to the chunky Keen look. I have sold a lot of shoes for Keen by wearing them everywhere and answering peoples' questions about them. Do not buy a knock-off. This is the best money you can spend on a shoe. You will love 'em!

Comfortable & Gets You Some Looks! I have plantar fasciitis which flares in both feet so I must have comfortable shoes. These definitely fit my requirements, plus they are adorable. People stop me all the time to ask me who makes them. I don't think you'll regret buying these great sandals.

Cute shoes - I love these shoes, very comfortable!!! Everywhere I go, I am asked where did you get those cute shoes? I wear them while I work all day, as a massage therapist and my feet don't hurt at the end of day.

Awesome Hiking shoes - I bought my Keens for our trip to Hawaii. We did a couple of hikes and they performed outstandingly. They have toe protection and kept my feet dry from any access water on the trail. The inside of the shoe is what makes it. My Keens are a perfect fit.

Great style, great shoe - Love the covered toe thing. Lets me wear sandals to work! Comfortable, waterproof, easy to clean (used a garden hose and let them dry outside after a hike). Only issue is the open sides are inviting to rocks in the shoes, which are harder to get out than with standard sandals.

Keen on Keen - I LOVE my new Keen Newport H2 sandals! They are very comfortable and so lightweight. The versatility is great as I can wear them around town, go hiking and into the water all in the same day!

Great Shoe - Great shoe to wear on vacation or camping. I ordered shoes 2 days before camping trip and as promised they were delivered in less than 24 hours. I was hesitant to order half size larger as other reviews suggested, but I am glad I did. I definitely needed the 7.5 when I would usually wear a 7. Very comfortable shoes rain or shine!
