Always wanted a pair of Frye's. Great boot. Top quality construction. I bought these for motorcycle riding. Wanted a USA made engineer boot. I replaced a pair of Georgia boots I had for 20 + years. The left boot is much more difficult to get on. Not sure what is up with that. Didn't have time to send them back again as I needed them for a trip. I don't have this problem with any other shoes or boots I have. Once on the comfort is very good. Wore these the first time on a 1200 mile motorcycle trip, 12-14 or more hours each day with considerable walking each day and have no complaints. These are very comfortable from the start. I would and will buy these again when needed. Zappos customer service is as good as it gets!

So far am very happy with these boots. I find my heel fits a little loose. It takes effort to take these boots on and off. They are of excellent quality and would recommend them to anyone. I wish the upper part was lined to ease entry and exit.

Have had these boots for one month now. Nice fit and great quality overall. Stitching at the rear shaft of the boot should be finished on the outside vice the inside to prevent rubbing the back of the leg. A pull strap attached to the rear shaft of the boot would have been awesome to assist on pulling these boots on.

Bought these for my husband. He's been looking for new boots for a year and he's very picky. I own 2 pairs of Frye and finally convinced him to try these. He LOVES them. A bit expensive but very high quality. Might need inserts to snug up the fit a little. Personally I think they're sexy!

I wanted the boots for some time. Did my research first. Then I found them here cheaper then Frye so I purchased them. Transaction was easy , shipping was good . I like the boots. I think they look good. I wouldn’t say their comfortable, but they aren’t broken in yet. A matter of fact I’ve only worn them 4 times around my house. They have not been worn outside at all. Now my problem with these boots are , the right boot ankle strap isn’t sewn to the boot. So you can’t tighten it. It’s useless. The left boot ankle strap is good. It’s sewn and functions correctly. Not exactly sure what my options are or what I’m going too do about this problem, but I don’t believe a company such as Frye can miss things such as this. Especially this line of their boots that are still made in USA. It’s a bit disappointing.

My favorite boots ever but the buckels are very cheap and could be of better quality for as expensive the boots are.

Loved the look of these boots but after a year I just can't seem to break them in. The leather is so stiff and there is no cushion in the bed of the boot so they sit in my closet. Will stick with my UGGs

All I know is, I'm determined to make these work. The breaking in phase, is killing me. Blister on one heel, such a tough boot. Not the foot bed, the foot bed is great but the boot is so tough it's like I'm being tortured alive. And they are leaving a black ring around my calf. Great. Why do we put up with this again? Because of the name? I have a pair of Aldos that have lasted me 17 years (oddly). I am not so sure about this Frye thing. But I'm trying valiantly. Going to do everything people have said, ie, using a plastic bag to get my foot in. Or, using a hair dryer to warm the insides before wearing, with thick socks. They aren't going back. I will report back in two weeks! Hoping for the best. And to not have such dirty looking ringed calves soon.

I purchased this boot last year because my other pair of Frye boots where great looking, extremely comfortable and easily the best boots that've ever owned. This boot is gorgeous and the similarity stops here. This boot is so uncomfortable that I have to take them off while driving and walking around is out of the question. I didn't send them back because I thought after they were broken in it would get better but that didn't help.

I wear an 11 1/2 shoe and boot. When I got my size, I couldn't even get my foot into the boot and I don't have a wide foot (I'm thin). So I returned them and ordered a 12. Got those and it was the same situation. I guess Frye boots aren't made for me.
