This my third Frye boot I own , but it's my favorite for riding my motor bike , it's soft yet protects my feet ankle/ calf while riding , it's surprisingly comfortable on and off bike and the looks I get and complements from fellow bikers are priceless! it's a boot build to last with premium leather and materials. I would recommend this boot to any biker.

These might be my favorite boots! I took them on a long weekend to visit my family and they were great right out of the box! No break in required! They were easy and comfortable through TSA, three airports, and everywhere in between! They look like nothing else and I get compliments on them from everyone! Wish everything I wore was as solidly built and as sharp!

I had wanted these boots for a long time. I would try them on and not buy them, thought they were too expensive. I finally purchased them and cannot believe, that I have waiting this long to wear such a fine crafted pair of boots. They felt a lot better than I anticipated as far stiffness, after wearing them for 8 hours straight. They feel like I have had them forever now, my go to boots love them!!

The boots are beautiful in all aspects. The strap is an unusually thin leather but the boots are light weight so there is a minor tradeoff. Hopefully the strap will be as durable as the rest of the boot. It seems to me the boot was made just for my foot. Usually your foot would slide forward with a raised heel. These do not do this. It's really quite remarkable. If you have a wide foot (I do) you have to try these boots. They just fit. I'm very pleased so far.

Best boot ever made, my bud had a pair in 1964 and today same top quality. I need size 11 with insulated boots and shoes but only size 10 with Frye boots and fit perfectly and very comfortable. Frye boots are the real McCoy.

Got mine a couple days ago. At first I couldn't even get the left book on, due to my high instep.... I finally horsed it on in the store. Once they were delivered I struggled again the first day I had them... today they went on MUCH easier. They have already essentially broken in and I expect to have no problem getting that boot on at all tomorrow. All in all great boots, super comfortable, rugged and look good with khakis as well as jeans. I've worn Fryes since the early seventies so it didn't take much to sell me. This IS my first pair of engineer boots and they are surprisingly versatile. Also kudos to Barbara and Lorna in the NYC store. Very helpful and patient, especially with my wife!

I needed a new pair of work boots and my feet were killing me. I decided to go with these cause I used to wear engineer boots when I was a kid. They fit so nicely I wore them out of the store. Great boots.

I've been wearing Frye boots since like 1980, growing up, Frye was THE standard for boots. Was looking for some boots for riding my motorcycles and what could be more iconic than the Frye 12R Engineer! The sizing was a bit off, if I recall correctly Injad to send them back and get a different size than my usual 9.5. Then I took them to a shoe repair guy who stretched them out for a few days, then wore them around for several days running and they more or less formed to my feet. Admittedly this was a fair amount of trouble but boy is it worth it! The boots are all day comfortable and sometime I just wear them for the heck of it, even when not riding. these boots are not for the meek! The Frye 12R Engineer boots are dead steady, rock solid, and made in the USA. I rate them @ 5 big, shining stars!

i purchased a pair of frye boots a year ago. i'm really tuff on shoes and boots and when i wore these boots you can tell there a excellent boot. the fit was a little tight at first i wore a extra pair of socks for two or three day and the fit is great. also you can tell there a well made boot with excellent leather so i ordered another pair.

The quality and fit of these boots was excellent. They fit true to size and are very comfortable.

These are my first Frye boots, and I couldn't be happier with my selection. They gave me blisters the first day of breaking them in, but they now fit great. Getting them on is still a bit of a struggle (apparently I have a high arch in one foot), but I know that will improve with time. They're comfortable enough to wear all day, and somehow they look *even better* when they get scuffed. Can't wait to see how they improve over time!

Having owned the 12r 's for about 4 years now I can say that these are the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. They form to your feet and are worth every penny. I never work in them but I have had them resoled. The Frye dressing makes them look brand new and I've gotten many compliments over the years. I have recommended Frye to others and they are in love with them too. Yes they are pricey, but when you put them on you will know why.

Love these boots. They're built tough for rugged work. Best of all they're made in USA. My current pair are 5 years old, they need a resole but i still enjoy pulling them on. Like a good old American tool you can depend on, they last.. Keep up the good work Frye hope y'all never change the way they're made.
